Good day to you!
I am asking on behalf of all the ship modders.
We would like to know why the torpedo code was locked?
Without it, no working sub mods can be installed.
I can make a custom torp, so the ED one need not be used.
But without the code, we are "Dead in the water"
Might you ask if this can be UN-locked please?
We do not need the missiles, just the torps.
I have WW II subs waiting in dry dock!!
Thank you!

This is from a mod of the HMS Hood 1945
I added torps and used the YU-6 code slightly modified.
I include both files for reference,
This is with a sub mod installed in saved games.
DCS will not start.
CTD before even authorizing.
The logs look fine till the very end. There is this,
( 2021-06-02 18:35:19.278 ALERT Dispatcher: Error running db_scan: ?:0: attempt to concatenate a nil value
2021-06-02 18:35:19.278 INFO DCS: application shutdown

2021-06-02 18:35:19.510 INFO TERRAIN: lSystem::CleanScenes()
=== Log closed. )This error is common across all mod that attempt to use any torp code.
Modded or otherwise.
However, you can add the LT_58 torp to pylons, and mods, and it works!
Aircraft only.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this.
Cheers!

Nothing I do has any effect on making the torps work.
Either the ship does not show in sim,
or DCS will not start.
Custom code will not work.
It will for bombs, but not for torps.
It is all because of the torp code.
If the team would consider un-locking this code
the modders could add subs and torp launchers to WWII and other mods,
greatly expanding the scope and enjoyment of the sim!
Thanks for your time.

Cheers!
(I have the whole WWII Jap fleet coming!)
