It's bugged since... the feature was implemented. I never use it.

[REPORTED] RWS radar stabilization and tracking loss
Ignition replied to KungFu's topic in Bugs and Problems
No, the HUD freezes and doesn't care if you're moving or not, it just stays the same way the moment you lock a target, it just freeze. The locked target stays in the same spot relative to the HUD despite changing attitude or heading. -
It can be done with "Combined Arms" if you have it. In the F10 map you select a vehicle and click the tank icon, then press "B", point and press 1-3 to release smoke. Also you can load WP rockets. EDIT: sorry didn't read this was the mission editor thread. This is how you can set up a continous smoke on a zone https://imgur.com/a/dPzj4lP In the mission start you put nothing on the condition and in actions flag on (1). It will smoke the zone every 240 seconds. Or you can add a radio item which triggers once and increase the flag 1 by 1, you need to change the time since flag to 1 second instead of 240, then you can use the radio menu and it will smoke the zone everytime you use this action.

The Mission Editor is really abandoned. We got 2d models and ground patrol after YEARS of development, I don't remember exactly but at least since Lock On was realeased. Don't missunderstand me I love these features  but I think they should focus much more in AI and Mission Editor. I use MOOSE for any mission I do. I use the class AI_A2A_DISPATCHER, one of the many (MANY) features it has the framework. It allows you to set up squadrons and areas for them to patrol. If a radar detects enemies it sends one of those patrols (or more if there are many enemies) to attack. They will refuel in air if its available and land if they are damaged. Also its possible to set the respawn rate. It's much more work but once you set up everything you have a very nice replayable mission. ATM the Mission Editor needs a lot of features.

Yes but changing FOV everytime is not intuitive. We change it all the time without even notice the majority of the time because we would not be able to play otherwise, we can't even attack ground targets without zooming in. I find this very inconvinient and unimerssive. They need to find a solution to this problem, something like the enlarged models we had was a good choice.

I have the same problem, I think it's because of the way distance is represented in game.

DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update or start -> all programs -> Eagle Dynamics -> DCS World -> Update DCS World

I've droped 2 sets of 4 MK-82 SE and these outposts shouldn't be alive. https://imgur.com/a/nDhAe2y

Is there any plan on improving the pathfinding of the AI gorund units? Are you going to add new static buildings? Buildings like gas stations, embassies, or other civilian structures would be nice for mission editing.

I had a really bad freeze in windows yesterday. I checked the S.M.A.R.T. of the HDD and I have inteface CRC errors so I re-plugged the SATA again and the freezes in DCS are gone. The strange thing is that from all the games I play DCS was the only one with some sort of problem. If it weren't for the freeze in windows I would never find out.

I'm doing some testings and the stutters are still here  I still have the exact same issue. The game is unplayable, 20-30 seconds ok and then CPU drops to 0% and game freezes for 2-3 seconds.
-
391.35 And I had 390 something from January I think. I didn't test for a long period of time but in the time I played the stutters were gone. I had this problem for several days so I'm sure it wasn't an external and occasional factor. Also it was the only game I had problems.
-
Actually yesterday updated the drivers and the issue seems to be solved. I didn't bothered with the drivers before because it was woking fine when DCS was on beta, it all started when the game went live. The sttuters seem to be gone. Thanks.

I'm having very annoying stutters. Every 20-30 seconds I have a freeze for 2 seconds. I have an I7 7700K, 16GB RAM, game is on SSD, GTX 1080. Tested in Caucassus, Mirage 2000C and MI-8 same results, no AI, single player. When the freeze happens the CPU goes to 0%, not temp related.
-
This is really a must. Its difficult to locate targets without any reference.
-
The Ground AI see through buildings and shoot like there's nothing in front of them. Tested in Caucasus 2.5.0.15365 In general the AI needs A LOT of work
-
Hi, is this possible atm or will be possible sometime in the future? Thanks.

Game mode is just that, the arcade version without physics. The mode is already in game. At least I remember the Ka-50 had it a few years back.

Why use another trainer? If you crash you dont die and theres no economic loss neither. I never understood why buy a trainer in a simulator game. Im not against it entirely... but I will not buy it.
-
LOL, I thought exactly the same, I was hoping for more info on 2.5 and the F/A-18 and also waiting for improvements on the mission editor since years now. Why, why, WHY....!
-
There's no point to have trainers in DCS. You cant die if you crash on a game and it will cost $0 to respawn.

Thank you!
