I learnt something new too thank you

I would say it is the flaps lowering when the bird gets the appropriate speed (and not when commanded to), but that video shows a more dramatic pitch up (just for noobs like me who used to watch a lot of videos trying to learn something, at 0:11 it is not a speed indicator)

Mk.82AIR overshoots every time? (CCRP)
Bersagliere81 replied to EasyEB's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Other than parachute/fins, what make snakeyes so different? -
got it thank you. Better not tell my "basic qualification campaign" instructor, as he pretends it to be always active
-
Is pitot heat for the A10C supposed to be always activated, or there is a risk of "overheat" damage?
-
Sure I will! At the very end of the sales I bought em all :D Well I already had the basic training qualification, and now I am deep into the struggle of the checklists
-
Aaaaand the choice went for Enemies Within and Red Flag :D
-
I must proove myself I can buy only one!!
-
Hi there, which one do you suggest? Sales are ending and the struggle is real! And don't want to buy them all, you know, I do need to get out from time to time. I am reading Red Flag is very immersive (yes I own the NTTR map), but Enemies Within is very fun to play, and Piercing Fury is awesome... Also, I have one quick and silly question. Red flag is an exercise, but it is with live fire and live SAMs right?

Feeling confused with numbers/commands/letters/everythingelse? Welcome, this is the A-10C

Maybe you have already been answered, I am not reading everything.. In "normal" conditions you know you get a maverick lock when the big cross behaves strangely (as seen in the video) and the smaller one starts to blink. It may sound difficoult but it is easy when you will try it The other mode is "force correlate mode" this afaik, is possible to every maverick type but the D version. Instead of explaining how it works, I will reccomend you to practice with normal locks and then look for a force correlate tutorial. In simple words you just "force" the maverick to lock on a specific point to the ground

Mk82s not dropping symmetrically
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Trying and trying again I may have solved my issue. But I still can't get why yesterday I had different results doing the same things In the first part of my video, you can see I set 6 bombs, but it drops only 4 of them. It does indeed choose all single stations (not the triple racks ones). What it was supposed to do - in my logic - was dropping 6 "random" bombs. Apparently, the system discriminates single and triple racks Furthermore in this case, if after the active profile is set, selecting or deselecting other stations of mk82s may result in a manual release. There's a logic behind it, still figuring it out :D The way it works as intended is 1)selecting on DSMS the desired stations 2)profile page 3)create new profile 4)bla bla bla Yesterday I did try this solutions several times, but I had no success at all, I have no idea why. Anyways, apparently it is working as intended now Thank you for the help -
Mk82s not dropping symmetrically
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I can't remember, but I'd safely say I used both configurations. Last time was CCRP for sure. I had triple on stations 5 and 7, and single bombs on 2 and 6. With ripple single 6 set, it dropped 2 and 6, then went for the triples on the next run -
Mk82s not dropping symmetrically
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I have no idea then. And I am sure I am doing it the right way, even because I have no issues when I have that exact amount of mk82 under my wings I might try to make a video with my issue later tonight -
Mk82s not dropping symmetrically
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Yes that's how it is supposed to be. However having two triple racks (6 bombs) and an extra mk82, it's not working. it just drops one mk82 -
Mk82s not dropping symmetrically
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
That solves my first issue, thank you. Someone else can explain me the other one please? -
Hi there I am having an issue and have no clue how to solve this. First, with Mk84 on stations 5 and 7 I can't make them drop in pairs. I go to profile set them in PRS and active profile. It drops just one at time. Only way to "solve" this is to make them as RIP SGL 2, but they don't drop at all at once. Second, let's say in this case I want to make a carpet bombing with 6 Mk82 (2 triple racks no matter what stations). If I have an extra mk82 let's say on station 2 (for a total of 7 mk82), if I try to drop 6 of them as set on profile, it just drops the one on station 2. I even tried to create a new profile, selecting the triple racks in question. It doesn't matter, it will count that extra station anyways. Any ways to make them working as intended?

Question about Mavericks and their range
Bersagliere81 replied to Zimmerdylan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Other than what has been said, I can only say there is a difference between IR and CCT mavericks. IR tend to lock from a greater distance (6/7 nm). That doean't mean CCT are awful, they are just different. For example agm65 D (IR) can't use force correlate. I read somewhere it may also be dipendent by how the target actually looks with a certain background. Dont forget to launch in the keylock zone (look for more details about it) -
Can't complete some Georgian Hammer missions
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thank you, good to know. Yes there I had that issue with another mission, however I can't tell you which one. I restarded the campaign, and even missions order look messed up. I am not starting with the bridge bombing one -
tail nose/tail are fuses you need to be set to activate the drag chute on mk82air
-
I currently started my very first campaign, the Georgian Hammer (no CA). In some missions, you are supposed to provide assist to your tanks advancing. After killing all visible enemy targets, I give the order to platoons to advance via radio, and I do get their response. However, it may happen at some point, their advance get halted. They do not move, do not shoot and there is nothing around. On the F10 map you can see their path, but there is no action from them. Is this bugged or am I missing something?
