Fuel Indicator Giving False Results
Bersagliere81 replied to Bersagliere81's topic in General Problems
To my understanding, this happens only when you have to drop external tanks when they are not completely empty. It makes sense but is human factor modelled ingame? If it is an error, why it keeps repeating with the same values under the same conditions? -
You know guys, I am even more confused now :D I will get it sooner or later
-
Hi there I have an issue involving external fuel tanks. Once you add wing tanks (and then remove them), the fuel indicator still reads as there is the extra fuel from wings. I have managed to reproduce the issue in this way: - Rearm Wing Tanks, and centre line 490l ---> reads 4 - Rearm NO Wing Tanks, and centre line 800l ---> reads 4,2 - Rearm Wing Tanks, and centre line 800l ---> reads 4,2 stripping down everything seems to solve the issue. I got these readings reproducing those steps in that exact way. Also, I get the expected readings if I make my first rearm of the "mission", or by doing those steps in different ways including downgrading the centre tank from 800 to 490 one. I can't say if this is due to the 26/05 patch, it is the first time I notice this. Map is Caucasus 1.5 (or whatever version after the introduction of Normandy map, which I don't own)

urgh that's confusing. But you are talking about the real mig, right?

How to get accurate hud altitude reading above 300
Bersagliere81 replied to Pindrought's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Other than what has already been said, keep in mind you can get the same reading of radar altitude on its relative analouge instrument. It is located on the frontal panel about full left/centre and has a scale up to 300m. On that instrument, you can set the radar altimeter warning. Switch the knob to the desired altitude, if you go below that, a warning tone will be heard. Also if you are totally new about radar/baromethric altitude, nothign explains better the difference than flying within 300m from a hill's edge. When you do that, read the radar altitude instrument and baromethric instrument -

I like flying the L39. But I'd like to see those two aircrafts -
Hi there I am currently learning the radio navigation specifically for the Mig21 and so far it seems to be everything ok to me, but the far-near (or inner-outer) switch is out of my understanding. What's the use for it? The manual doesn't give an explanation, unless I have missed the line I already learned the radio navigation with L39, and I know it is referred to the inner and outer NDB beacon next to an airfield (although I have to admit I miss the point to set both frequencies, I only set one for the airfield and set the other for a farther beacon), but again, I see no point in doing that with the mig as you already have ARC presets and you can't manually set frequencies

Bignewy, Bunyap sims, xxjohnxx. First one is everywhere anytime in this forum :D, the other two made me learn this game

F86 Sabre engine start up in game mode
Bersagliere81 replied to eagle1964's topic in DCS: F-86F Sabre
There is a combination of keys for autostartup. Look the second post in this thread to know how to find it https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=64045 Also, there is an infinite number of tutorials if you look around :D For manual startup and everything else https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dcs+sabre+tutorial Also, I strongly reccomend you Chuck's guides https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765 and don't forget you have the full F86 manual in your pc. Look into your ED installation folder ED root/Mods/aircrafts -
Although late, I am here to say the aircraft I am enjoying the most is the L39 Albatros, and I occasioanlly fly it even on Blue Flag server. It's the navigation system with NDB that makes it fun. And Ka50 is surprisingly fun if patiently and properly flied. You can see my aircrafts in my signature. With the next sales I am going to buy the Sabre, I bet that bird will climb up in my most favourite aircrafts

Chuck's Guides - DCS Tutorial Library
Bersagliere81 replied to Charly_Owl's topic in General Tutorials
On Ka-50 guide I think I have found an error. under the "unguided rockets/gunpod tutorial", step 6, rocket type 4 it is written "S-8M HE rockets" S-8M are flares rockets. If not HE for sure it's something that doesn't even explode :D -

I'd like to have sabres and mig15 added as well -
I don't want to destroy engines. All I was asking for is if there is the possibity to remove such limiter. Will it ruin the engines (eventually)? Ok let me have a try. Exceeding its limits will make me learn more of it. My wisdom tends to improve after I crash something, it is a reminder to not do that agai Unfortunately I have no tracks atm, I always played on Blue Flag server. Flights tend to be nearly a hour long
-
Ok thank you. But simply put, is it possible to gain a bit of altitude from a stationary hover, bypassing the power limiter without the need to gain speed?
-
I think what I read was if you deactivate EEG you can remove power limits. And it is what it is being said in this thread. Why should I reduce power? It happens mostly when I need some extra from a stationary position More precisely, even at low altitudes, after I get to the spot where I want to shoot from (say I have half fuel, and standard weapons on low altitudes, nothing more demanding than a takeoff), I can't climb those few meters higher because of the limitation
-
I had this "issue" (i am still learning this heli), and did according the manual. Switching off the EEG switches. However nothing really happened, and those two warning lights were still lit on. Is there something more to do, like flipping more switches?

Bersagliere81 replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
That's true but sometimes as a lonewolf, if you connect and find yourself against 16 is feeling like a chicken in velociraptors cage EDIT: can a server admin move to red please? That's the team where I am supposed to be, but it says I am blue. And cannot choose the blue side either. -
