@jpuk Error found. DCS recognizes different languages only if the mission was saved in Default (English). If another language was edited last, only this language will be recognized. I clarify with ED whether all affected missions must be updated again, or whether you fix the error in DCS. In any case, the problem should be fixed with the next beta update. In the meantime, unfortunately, the language can not be changed via the mission editor.

@jpuk Text and voice overs? Will check it out. The campaign is in English, Frensh, and German, maybe i did something wrong.

@kotor633 Thank you for the flowers Currently I am working on the completion of the follow-up campaign for the UH-1. This will probably be followed by a campaign for the Gazelle. Unfortunately I don't know enough about the Mi-24 and I don't have a real idea how to integrate the gunner. Secretly I dream of a campaign for the BO105.

@Delta Kilo Had current 2 threads on this topic and the other already answered. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/212455-mission-2-issues/?do=findComment&comment=5000506 In no way do I see it as negative comments or feel attacked when I am made aware of "problems" you have with the missions. It was entirely my decision that the missions are the way they are, with no malicious traps, but you don't get anything for free either. In the next update I have increased the trigger zone so that it no longer matters where you land in LZ 1. When creating the missions I let myself be guided by my practical experience and I don't always succeed in considering all possible alternative approaches. However, your feedback and especially your perseverance helps me. And in confidence: if I wouldn't get any questions or reports about problems, it would mean that everything is perfect, or nobody is interested in the campaign. Since the former is very unlikely.... So please don't be shy, if something is unclear or doesn't work as expected please contact me. Unfortunately, it is also simple so that small changes on the part of ED in DCS can interrupt complex processes and the probability that there is actually a bug is not so small. Have fun with the next missions

I have to thank. The campaign is made for guys like you. For those who don't look for faults in others and accept challenges. Even if it takes several attempts to complete a mission, still appreciate that it not only took time, but also a development has taken place.
-
@Delta Kilo Thank you for the detailed description. I suspect that I have found the problem. When landing in LZ 1, you may have landed before WOLF 1 and thus outside the trigger zone. I attach a picture including the current (enlarged in the update) trigger zone and the intended landing site. In further missions of the campaign you will be asked to land next to or in front of WOLF 1. Basically, however, you keep your place in the formation (behind Wolf 1) and thus of course always keep visual contact with the lead. It is one of the controversial qualities of the campaign that the approach is also realism-oriented and requires an overview. For this, I have also taken some harsh criticism after publication at the beginning. It is not enough to get somewhere and land there somehow. It is often important to follow procedures. For example, takeoff and landing into the wind if possible, because triggers are arranged accordingly. I know in other campaigns it is possible to be completely wrong without negatively influencing the scripted course of the story. However, this completely contradicts my view of DCS. The large yellow circle marks the landing zone (trigger). Ground staff (small yellow circles) are waiting for you.

@Delta Kilo When Wolf 1 flies to Tango Bravo and lands there, everything looks good. You land in the grass below the building in front of the guy with the yellow jacket. Does the HUMWW come the second time and you are asked to follow him? Then everything else has no effect on the mission. After you followed the vehicle to LZ2 (which unfortunately doesn't follow his instructions either) (windsock) and landed there the mission will continue after 1 to 2 minutes, no matter if the infantry gets stuck in the trees or not. I have enlarged the trigger zones a bit and transferred a new version to ED. It is important that after the first cargo task Wolf 1 flies on to Tango Braco and all radio messages are heard. Even in the current variant of the mission there should be no problems if you hear Peter say "I see them coming" on the flight to LZ2.) After you land in LZ2, everything takes its course, no matter if the infantry comes or not.

@jpuk No. You must have used the option in the radio menu to continue the mission. It is important that after the first cargo task Wolf 1 flies on to Tango Braco and all radio messages can be heard. @Delta Kilo Sorry, I was not able to get a new version in today's update, but the next beta update will be a fix to that problem. For that, it should have arrived at ED several days ago. But it will be included in the next update.
-
@jpuk I am already working on a go-around solution to this problem. Pathfinding is, unfortunately, very unreliable in DCS. It works for me, but not for you and some others. I was not able to get a new version in today's update, but the next beta update will be a fix to that problem.

@Delta Kilo Checked the mission several times bevor and have no issues at that point. But anyway, i will make a change to that mission and hope it will be part of the next Beta update.

WORLDS APART Spring 2025 Information
CHPL replied to CHPL's topic in WORLDS APART Spring 2025 Campaign
@jpuk Peter is not your mother. Depending on his current position in his turn, Wolf 1 may take some time to fly directly over the bridge on the way back. If you had missed him, he would already be on Apron 1 when you landed in Batumi. Normally the mission is finished when you reach the park position and can be ended with ESC after the appropriate message. If you like you can turn off all systems and the engine and the missions will end automatically after turning off the battery. The campaign requires a relatively high level of attention and an overview of the situation. The missions require above all awareness. Besides fun, it means work above all. Nothing for in between. Nevertheless, you did everything right, you found your way back and finished the mission. I suspect the mission did not end itself, because you may have ended up somewhere else in Batumi. This explains the missing 40 points. -

@jpuk In this campaign you don't need to worry about the score. Normally it should be 100 at the end. Maybe you missed the landing? -
@Roosterfeet It is one of our Training missions by the Black Angels. No official Version available. Also the mission is for more then 5 aircraft, concerning the mission objectives. Where are you come from?
-
@Dragon 1-1 Text is created when editing the video. And for internal use, the video is worth the effort. The mission went much better today. Hope it was still interesting and thanks for the feedback.

Don't worry, we all fly for fun. We try to get better but still have a lot to learn. Helicopter CAS Mission / Tactical Failure Analysis The approximately 30-minute video summarizes and explains the critical scenes of a nearly 2-hour-long mission. However, I can't confirm the impression that one or the other might have that it would have been easy to win. However, what becomes clear is that a military environment is about much more than just flying and shooting.

-

No more localizations? 4 months after the release of the German localization, which was done with considerable effort and also included large parts of the voice overs, the result is unfortunately not very encouraging. Further localizations can therefore be ruled out and in future campaigns there will probably be at most a translation of the texts. The French localization will nevertheless be part of the upcoming summer campaign from the beginning, thanks to the support of Tanuki44 from the French community. -
