  1. ok, i will check. thanks @Flappie and @admiki i despise mods, but some of the dcs groups i am in want me to run mods, ugh! or maybe i just have to look top left of my view. sometimes wish it was consistent layout location over the modules.. WILL CHECK BACK!
  2. when i try to bring up the show control indicators, it shows 4 white SAS indicators, instead of the normal box that displays the current position and input of controllers. please bring back the original show control indicators! the Mi8MTV2 is also having the same issue!

  6. today in multicrew multiplayer, successfully deloy HOT-3 missiles as a cockpit team for the first time, but i was NOT able to find the "IMAGE FOCUS" button assignments for the WSO Left grip to map to a joystick. i was able to work the VCB TV... but i couldnt control this function of Image Focus, even though it is explained in Chucks GUide. basically image focus function is on the Left Hat of the Left WSO grip IS MISSING strangely enough, when i move my mouse cursor over the WSO left grip Left Hat, the "image focus" hint label appears.
  7. today me and a member of polychop discord gave the gazelle a spin in multicrew. we had a blast but found some issues. i was the copilot WSO. we had problems starting up due to me, the copilot WSO had joystick mappings for the brake and fuel level. it affect the pilot from starting up. at the end we have to talk thru the cold start sequence in which the pilot told me at what position the levers were applied so that i can move my joystick to match. In once instance i checked my axis mappings to see if any other engine / flight controls were bound, and i moved my brake and fuel controls during controls settings menu, and once i exited the menu, the gazelle rotors started to shutdown, and putting the levers back to fully forward did not help, we had to restart the engines in unison for the levers yesterday I ran into a multicrew issue today. not so much issue, but some kind of need for separation of controls, especially the controls related to axis assignments. I was flying with some from BSD. i was the pilot, he was copilot giving me checkride. he was not able to adjust the vivianne TV as copilot, because i had my SA342 copilot controls bound as an axis assignment. after i cleared my axis settings for TV contrast and brightness was only then he was able to operate the TV while i was pilot. At the end of the day, i believe that the fuel and brake levels should be part of the control set (along with cyclic, collective & pedals) for whom ever anyone has control of the aircraft. Same goes for weapon controls..

  9. i think this happen to me once, i had to hop in the co-pilot position, turn off show pilot body, then go back to the gunner position.. and if that didnt work, make sure that the "hide pilot body" key command is mapped for your joystick for both the PILOT and COPILOT... (maybe even GUnner)
  10. after a few months of enjoying and exercising RIO work.. I still have trouble looking at bricks on DDD, HCU to lock a target on DDD, and have it match what i am seeing on TID.... i am setting the SCAN AZIMUTH to 10 degrees, pointing antenna in direction of where bandit group is, (trying to go for the closest target) and usually do a few takes on STT locking on bricks on the DDD to get the corresponding target displayed on TID (it seems to always lock on a really far target like 80+nm away, when i am just trying to lock on the closest bandit to me....) I cant seem to confidently lock on something on DDD, that i see on TID... i even tell pilot to go faster to get better resolution in closure.. ideas i have are, a) to turn off DATALINK contacts on TID b) go to PULSE Search, set to a desired range like 25-50 NM, and better lock on target based on range instead of closure? ANY ADVICE, most appreciated...
  11. can you share a tip on how to fly in on a CPTR IP target? i saw a video somewhere on entering a way point as an offset.. but does this method show you how to come (direction wise) from the target? i hate to set an offset south of a target, but if i come in from east to loft, bomb would end up west? or if you have a method using CPTR IP, please share!

Add: HAGS OFF (hardware accelerated graphics settings) in windows go to the DCS.exe -> properties -> compatibility -> Disable full screen optimizations (box is check off) for bin and bin-mt folders if your studdering is in VR and you are on meta quest devices, increase or decrease the bit rate via oculus debug tool (by default it is 250... max is 600 i think.. i set mine to 450 on a quest pro.. at max, i would have problems
  17. MI-8, HOLDING DOWN THE FIRE BUTTON, I ONLY CAN GET 5 round BURST SHOTS... BUT ON THE MI24, I CAN HOLD DOWN FOR CONTINOUS FULL AUTOMATIC KORD FIRE...

  22. after having played around with the FCR with no knowledge last night, and running into new user issues, i've gone back to WAGS videos (sometimes i dont know what to look for until i am in a situation that requires an answer) key take aways that were important was the following 1) FCR has a max range of 8 Kilometers (not 8 miles) - 8 km effective on moving, and 6km on stationary 2) Only GTM is the FCR mode currently working 3) Sight Select on FCR then FCR mode to GTM I DID KNOW THIS! now it be nice to know effective scan elevation... and use of the manual elevation, or simply aim it at the ground since thats there the targets are? and what causes a LOS INVALID warning..
  23. so last night i got the FCR on. i went to some targets. it was in instant action target practice, and enemy ground vehicles are out in open on an airfield. i was able to see radar contacts when i got very close to them... but i didnt pick up anything before that, im trying to understand what is the scan behavior.. it was just a quick hop in and hop out. i have to figure out how how to change range of the radar picture, and what requirements and distance from targets that FCR are able to pick up enemy.. on a good note, i did lock on to targets and fire Limas once i HOCAS cursor depress on a radar contact... going to watch WAG's videos..
