Same with the VR experience.... frames in the low 20's in the instant actions take off mission for some reason....

Glad you guys said it - i thought it performed much better previously... Also visually i get much lower frames in the Mig in VR - anyone else have the same experience?

I thought DCS is CPU bound - do you think that 2.5 will be optimized more for VR and utilize the GPU more or am i dreaming thinking big changes like that will happen?

Hey All, thought i would ask the DCS guys what is best CPU for DCS - i have a Titan x and a fast enough SSD with 16gb RAM. I am running a 3930K overclocked to 4.0 Ghz however and this is the current bottle neck. So this is a Sandy Bridge CPU yes? My question is can i upgrade the CPU without upgrading the motherboard and if so, what would run DCS the best? I pretty much run DCS exclusively nowadays in VR and just want to get the best performance i can. If i need another motherboard, what would be the best combo with CPU for DCS please? Sorry, i used to stay on top of tech but with limited time i appreciate any responses around this as i am keen to turn cockpitshadows back on ;) Thanks James

Can anyone tell me how to get past the sling loading mission please? TBH I am getting sick of things not working. Can't get past mission two in the stock Gazelle campaign as it doesn't work correctly either. Maybe they could fix this stuff before they start charging for it? I'm sorry but there are so many things i need to work around in DCS currently and its taking the fun out of it... I did manage to attach the sling load at one stage - i think its the height, i was in a good hover and just kept gaining altitude until it attached. Took a while though and i can't seem to get it to work again. Otherwise i am writing this off as broken as well and will just put it with the "other" non working modules... Cheers James

I agree with the flight modeling issue... it's performance has dropped so much i have started using the F5 instead... I know, but it works properly...

There is no campaign mentioned as part of the Harrier.... This seems to be a trend nowadays... Detailed representation of the USS Tarawa (LHA-1), lead ship of her class - this is gonna be good ;)

Hey All, I use the the A10 HOTAS and have configured it to my preferences in 1.5 and save the config file. When i go to 2.1 and load that same config file, the buttons mapped to the throttle don't work and i need to configure them manually. has anyone else seen this - seems to be consistent for most of the aircraft i have tried? Tried saving to a completely new file etc and nuttin... Thanks James

Hey, I am changing jobs and added a week to my new start date just so i can sim in DCS mainly, not bothered about the loss of income. Much happier to do BFM campaign for a week ;) Anyone else take time off for DCS? Well worth it i say :) cheers James

Yeh thanks, i have it on 1.5 and it's readable. Just coming off the back of Elite Dangerous its still blurry in comparison. It was more about VR not having to be a design consideration previously and what needs to be considered for it now.

Hey, Just wondering now that new modules are being tested in VR such as the Harrier, anyone know if they will be modified to suit VR better. i am thinking increased font sizes in the HUD and gauges etc so they are readable. Maybe optimized textures? Just wondering if this will or is part of the process now. Cheerrs James

It now displays the mirage image rather than the viggen when briefing is selected in the mission itself... Can someone else confirm if it is global please?

No testing other than feel but seems like VR performance is improved... Seem to be getting 90fps in the instant action missions where it was locked at 45...

It's the GPS isn't it?
