This is the module manager from within DCS: If the Assets Pack is activated this is what you should see.

Hi dave-uk, Nothing more is required. It could possibly be that your assets pack has not activated in the module manager. If you check that the "WWII Assets Pack" has the green button within the slider under "Installed" in the Module Manger. Let me know how you get on. Cheers.

Hi All the issue lay in the description.lua files. If you change them as shown below the problem will be resolved. As it currently stands these lines currently contain a .bmp element to them. Removing .bmp using notepad ++ is the fix. Hope this helps. Hi HotTom, Complete the download and once you have extracted all the items you will have a folder named "The Prestwick Run" Contained within that folder are eight .miz files, listed as follows: (SPCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = Single Player clipped wing version (SP) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = Single Player eliptical wing version (4PCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 4 Player clipped wing version (4P) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 4 Player eliptical wing version (3PCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 3 Player clipped wing version (3P) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 3 Player eliptical wing version (2PCW) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 2 Player clipped wing version (2P) THE PRESTWICK RUN.miz = 2 Player eliptical wing version Place the .miz file you want to fly into the missions folder found in the following location: ThisPC/Windows(C:)/Users/Your name/Saved Games/Your version of DCS This will vary dependant upon which drive your saved games folder resides and the version of DCS you are running. Thanks crousti. If you use the Right Ctrl + K keys together you will see a < on the map showing your current location in relation to your waypoints. Hope that helps.

More to follow: The Prestwick Run - WWII Mission: Mission Overview: Your mission today, is to escort eight replacement B17s and their crews. They are inbound from Prestwick, following an overnight stop there on transit from the States. Each aircraft is unarmed, which saved weight during the ferry flight. The Eighth Army Air Force desperately needs these replacements, following high casualty rates, during daylight bombing raids. You will escort the flight to Royal Air Force Funtington, here on the south coast. Enemy activity in our area has been quite sporadic. We have encountered everything from lone wolves, to eight ship fighter formations. so, keep your eyes open and stay frosty. Good luck. Missions Available - Aircraft Types: Spitfire LF Mk. IX Single Player and Multiplayer. Spitfire LF Mk. IX CW Single Player and Multiplayer. Requirements: Normandy Map. WWII Assets Pack. WWII Assets Pack Liveries - Optional but better for immersion. No Mods are required. Immersion Detail: I like to add the little details, so I have included the following to hopefully enhance your experience: • Ambient dispersal location sounds. • Real vehicle horn sounds for the Willy's Jeep. Warning when it's about to transit the dispersal area. • Ground crew sounds on chocks removal. • Actual flare pistol sounds when fired in the distance. • Multi Nationality voice over's for Radio Comms. • Enemy aircraft spawns have been randomized so it will play out differently each time you fly the mission. • The "Liveries Pack" contains skins for the WWII Assets pack to represent RAF ground units and troops on the dispersal, including RAF Regiment troops, Bofors Guns and assorted vehicles. Comms: • Control of your Radio Comms and Wingmen is via the F10 Menu (Standard in game wingman commands have been replaced, so don't use them). • You can instruct elements of your flight to engage enemy units (via F10 Menu). • The Only in" sim comms" you will need to use, are the ATC for RTB, post mission completion. Spotting Mechanics (Labels): For those that may have a visual impairment, VR users or simply have difficulty in spotting enemy aircraft. I have included "The black dot" which will enhance spotting ability. Simply set your labels to on in your settings and switch on and off in mission, with the Shift F10 key combo. Basic Overview: You are Sqn Ldr Bertram (BERTY) Biggleswade RAF, Pimpernel Flight Leader. Pimpernel flight is a ragtag mix of RAF and displaced pilots of varying nationalities. The flight consists of the following individuals: • Flt Lt Robert (BILBOB) Baggins (Royal Air Force). • Fg Off Jorgen(BURKY) Birksted ( Danish Army Air Corps). • Plt Off Pierre (MERLOT) Levaux (Free French Air Force). It's September 1943, you and your flight form part of 11 Group Fighter Command based, at Royal Air Force Needs Oar Point. Skills Required: Basic Spitfire Airmanship. Formation Flying. Air to Air Engagement.
