SUNTSAG - Lockdown Mods/Liveries Collection (New and Revised)
SUNTSAG replied to SUNTSAG's topic in DCS Modding
Hi Kroll, I guess you purchased the SC....It seems there maybe a bug impacting SC owners, leading to this very issue. I don't own it and all FARP activity for me, is working as advertised, including both the mods here. Hopefully this will get looked at for the next patch. Cheers. -

Currently WIP but nearing completion: -
A word of advice/caution reference this modification and constantly using either JSGME or OvGME to load it. I have been modifying this lua file for the past four years. The code in this file is constantly being updated by ED and that includes very important updates to the way AI behaves and not just aircraft. If you use the mod manager method you will eventually encounter DCS issues to the point of thinking your install is bugged, that is because you are running an old version of the file. I recommend you simply manually update the latest lua file following each update and this method works every time without issue. Cheers.

Just a few ideas from my own personal wish list:

SUNTSAG - Lockdown Mods/Liveries Collection (New and Revised)
SUNTSAG replied to SUNTSAG's topic in DCS Modding
Hi Aureliuz, The mod no longer works with the latest update in any case. My information is that the SCUD-B has a range of 600km and that is what I have approximated in the lua. It is the SCUD-A to my knowledge that has the range of 300km. Cheers. -

Yes Phantom_Mark that is true as following every update I test my releases. I have made comment in other posts as to my findings....but thank you for the heads up it is appreciated. Everything else I have provided is working Shrike88 but for how long who knows LOL. Yes I have commented in the other post as to my thoughts on this. I don't usually say anything in instances of this nature but I felt the need this time around. Cheers. -
Hi All, Firstly I am not accusing anyone of anything just pointing out simple facts from a reasonable modders perspective. I look at the elements I would like to see active in DCS and try to implement them as a stopgap until ED get around to finishing or creating them. I then share with the community based on the premise that If I would like to see those elements working to a degree, then others may too. I will provide you with evidence now, of two mods that have seemingly been directly targeted by ED and been prevented from working. 1. The first was a deck crew mod I produced where the animated characters in a basic state at that time, which was made available due to many requests from the community. I kind of understand the ED reaction to this to a degree (with a DLC in the pipeline), which was to remove all the elements the mod utilised in the very next patch. Now we all know that ED never works that quickly on anything (LOL) so it was indeed directly targeted. I produced that mod back in January 2019 a full sixteen months before the super carrier was eventually released. ED could have left it alone and disabled it prior to the big launch and made a statement to that fact. The community could have benefited from the mod for quite some time and perhaps it's use would have made more community members consider buying the DLC in the long run, wanting the additional functionality it provides. . (It's an alternative viewpoint). Please also note that I did not complain when this action was taken. 2. Recently I produced links to a number of mods which are nothing to do with aircraft directly, one of which now does not work. The SCUD-B launch option has been disabled following the latest patch. Again this action has been prompt and seemingly quite purposeful, particularly following my review of why it has suddenly stopped working. I don't understand why this action has been taken as all I did was make it function until ED get around to finishing it. Perhaps it was a mistake on their part, as they do happen but as you can see I am a tad sceptical , with good reason I feel. Again I am not complaining I am simply providing some facts. Who knows perhaps the SCUD-B is forming part of a DLC for the Persian Gulf map and others but there is nothing in the development roadmap to suggest this. I can fix this one to a degree but I am asking myself, is it worth the effort? For me as it currently stands, the ED statement does not match their actions and let's not forget the great mod purge not so long ago. I understand any software house wishing to protect their intellectual property rights but these actions have nothing to do with that and it seems to be a form of misdirection or fake news if you will. Finally I don't usually contribute to discussions like these, I simply get on with what I enjoy doing and adapt to suit. Unfortunately on this occasion, I felt the need to chip in for the sake of balance.

You need to use the "Fire Secondary Weapon" control mapping which = LShift+Space whilst in the main turret view. It will enable you to fire the turret mounted machine gun. The Standard M4 coaxial has not been implemented with the ability to fire or a view position for firing as of yet.

How to setup both the V1 and SCUD-B to launch at a target: I have also provided a new link to the V1 mod. It now does not conflict with other weapon mods that maybe out there in peoples folders. -

Thanks Skyfire I will download and review, Thanks. Hi Sprool, I know what the issue is here and I believe I can correct what you are seeing. As far as launching goes there should not be an issue. I will upload an update shortly and I will make a video explaining how to launch both the SCUD-B and the V1 today at some point. Cheers. -

Hi Spanker79, I think this might help: -
I did remove this older mod and updated it following the addition of a V1 to the Assets Pack. That mod can be found here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4328279&postcount=6

-1 for this as it currently stands and I will explain my thought process: 1. There are already ridiculous items being caught by IC that have no advantage benefits should they be Modded/Changed/Adapted. 2. Your statement using "apparently" means literally you have no physical proof of this. You base your request on a presumption/hearsay. You need to support it with evidence and prove it is providing an unfair advantage. 3. Cockpit mods that improve other peoples general enjoyment of the aircraft they have purchased would then also be impacted. For example baked on reflection removal. For me and IMHO, IF these methods are being employed by some online pilots, then NO changes should be made to the IC process until ED introduce airframe wide options to remove reflections and scratches, similar to the new F16 Special Options recently introduced.

Cheers Shrike88 hope you find it useful. Phantom_Mark you can build your own using the elements in the mod or at least a temporary airfield. Adding something that looks like a runway is fraught with issues and simply will not work in DCS at the moment; as I have already explored that avenue. Hi davidp57, I'm not sure at the moment I may look into it given more time. Cheers Thanks AG-51_Razor, I hope you get plenty of use out of them. My pleasure speed-of-heat He did say that but he didn't modify this mat as he does not have the max file. It was his own FARP iteration and he made no mention of being able to use it to rearm and refuel either. I'm not sceptical of his statement, it's just that every avenue was explored to accommodate as many airframes as possible and this is what worked best all round. During the testing phase no alternative options worked for FC3/A10C or the Viggen. -

Aircraft Mat Mods - Modern and WWII I have two mat mods for you that will allow rearming and refuelling in a field location or indeed additions to an airfield for more parking slots. They now have improved placement but they are by no means perfect. One contains modern AM2 mats and the other WWII Marston type mat, as well as tents and camo netting etc etc. Once extracted simply place the folder in C: Saved Games/Mods/tech Whilst both can be stored in your Saved Games Folder together, I would recommend only storing the one you want to use predominantly and move the other to a safe location so you can swap and change to suit the era in which you wish to fly. Alternatively you could set them up for use via JSGME/OvGME and activate the mod for the era accordingly. TACAN TTS3030 - Working Mod Tacan Mod provides you with a functioning TACAN you can place anywhere on any map. First you must make the following amendment to a core sim file (using notepad++) that will allow you to place an aircraft starting on the ground. If you are not confident doing this I would recommend not proceeding any further. The file can be found here: Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World OpenBeta2.5/MissionEditor/modules/me_route.lua Keep a copy of the original just in case you make a mistake. It should look like this when you are finished: Once extracted simply place the folder in C: Saved Games/Mods/aircraft Download TACAN TTS3030 Mod: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lt-yc51bmW_3OUgviqMHOZziDfm-oSkQ/view?usp=sharing UPDATE: now works correctly at night.
