Hi Koriel and thank you for your feedback, it's always appreciated. Pre-set templates would always be a welcome addition agreed but also at the same time I guess it gives mission builders the freedom to create. There are template Mods out there that were user created, so that might be an option in the interim. The * elements are mods that the BFVG created. When I produced the lua for the units I put a * in front of the name to make them easier to locate in the editor. Hope that helps.....cheers.

A reasonably quick overview, regarding the placement of units using the NEW 2D method. It was introduced during the recent Open Beta update. It really does improve the mission building process. Cheers ED.

When I made this mission for Hawkeye the Bug had not been released yet so the strike on the Scud sites was centered around the AV-8B. When the Bug was released I added them as escorts for the strike package for use in a MP environment. If you wanted to use the F/A-18C Lot 20 as the primary strike package in Single Player or Multiplayer simply change the client slot AV-8Bs to F/A-18C Lot 20s. As laser guided munitions are not yet available for the Bug you will have to select your loadout accordingly. Hi meloco, when you have changed the slots highlighted above you will be able to contact your JTAC via the F10 menu. Hi Furia, as per the explanation above if you change the strike package to F/A-18C Lot 20s you wont have laser guided weapons but the mission goal is still achievable with the ordinance available to you. Hi All, I can confirm the mod works in the Persian Gulf Theatre. It is still difficult to find a good flat location but when you do it works well (see images). I also want to clear up some misinformation I have seen quoted reference this mod. There are 2 elements available: 1. An AM2 mat that acts like a FARP where you can rearm and refuel either your Helo or Harrier. Whilst it is true this will not pass IC (Integrity Check) it does NOT break anything in DCS. It DOES replace the in sim single helo farp available. We made it a separate JSGME/OvGME option so that you could enable and disable it if you wanted to fly on servers with IC enabled. 2. AM2 mats and associated objects where you CANNOT use them to rearm and refuel. This element is placed in your saved games folder and DOES pass IC and again will NOT break anything within DCS. Thanks.

At the time of my post the issue I was concerned with was fixed i.e Placing objects in a remove scenery zone would make them appear on top of the removed object....... that no longer happens for me. Cheers:thumbup: -
Just a simple Range mission so you can practice you loadout delivery. Sirri Island has been designated as a LIVE FIRING RANGE. There are varying target types as follows: 1. Enemy Base Camp. 2. APC Column. 3. Soft Skinned Vehicle Column. 4. Naval Vessels. 5. Parked Aircraft. 6. Active SAM Units. You decide which targets you would like to engage via F10 menu selection. Following target type confirmation you can also obtain JTAC assistance via the F10 menu. Your JTAC will mark "GROUND UNITS ONLY" with "LASER & SMOKE". For the "PARKED AIRCRAFT & NAVAL VESSELS" ONLY SMOKE will be used. Slots Available: (Change or Add in the ME as you see fit). Hot Starts: X2 AV-8B Aboard the Tarawa. X2 AV-8B Abu Musa Island. X2 F/A-18C Lot 20 Aboard CVN-74 JC Stennis. X2 F/A-18C Lot 20 Abu Musa Island. Each Airframe has a different loadout so chose which ever slot suits your training needs or amend to suit in the Mission Editor. Multiple CTLD JTACs are being used each one uses a different laser code. Old link removed as mission updated.
