Was just reading about 3D TV's and wondered if anyone had tried Black Shark in 3D, and if so what was their experiences, or if DCS A10 would be 3D capable or thinking about implementing it in the future? Gimmick or The Future of Gaming? http://au.gamespot.com/features/6274271/index.html?tag=topslot;img;3

That is a fantastic video, I really enjoyed that, thanks. :) -

Hmmm, nope. Just checked, it's mapped in game but still no screenshots appear in the designated folder. This is really starting to bug me. Any other ideas guys?

Hello fellow virtual pilots. I can't seem to get the 'PrtScn' button to take a screenshot. They don't appear in my cache files in my folder. I have Windows 7 64 bit Professional. I know that in XP 32 bit I had no troubles. What am I doing wrong? I have only 1 monitor going. This is both an issue for FC2 and DCS. Please help. I write little reviews for FC2 and DCS Black Shark and really need some photos for my future articles. C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\ScreenShots (This Folder is Empty) Thank you for your assistance.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

F-14D please. -
Oh yes, Tabbed sections would be awesome.

Great... a SUV drives up to you, with guys shooting AK47's and then you get gunbutted in the head, tortured for 4 weeks by guys wanting to know what they could easily obtain from a Janes manual or the internet, and then released. Sounds awesome. I'd just press the re-fly button.
-
I would pay ANYTHING for a full colour, and hard cover spiral bound manual. Preferably printed on slightly thicker paper then the 'bible paper' on the KA50 printed manual. Seriously I would be looking into supplying it in colour. The demand is there.

Thanks Wags for the images, they look fantastic. Are these images ones you took on your system (in your sig)?

I really don't want to miss out on this Joystick, but I'm still going to wait a month after release to find the best shipping to Australia, or hopefully a HOTAS available in Australia. Just hope there is still stock.

Sorry to come into this late, but didn't a ED developer on the 9th of May in the 104th teamspeak channel say that laser Mav's wouldn't be included because its like classified and stuff (sure there's knowledge of it, but you know what DCS is like, 'if it's not totally legit, then its not in it'.) I know this is chinese whispers and that I haven't read the last 3 pages to this question or was even there in this teamspeak channel, but I thought this was common knowledge in the A10 rumour mill. Gotta love the internet. Regardless of whats going on with the US Marines A10 Laser Maverick A10 test facality in buttfuknowhere, or internet wiki research proving that we don't have 'everything' for this sim, but you gotta focus on whats modelled in the game and just focus on learning that. We can sim-geek out as much as we want. But I'm keen on just seeing whats avialble and working with what we have in the sim. (this post was made after a night on the booze and the author is in no way responsible for the spelling or military logical thought)

Sad to hear that Ratcatcher as I was going to buy those small samsung USB monitors to fit behind the Thrustmaster MFD's for the A10.

PREVIEW - Russia/Georgia War 2010 Campaign
Deigs replied to Madman777's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Well done for your first video. I liked it, moody with the music and its good to see sim videos with a soundtrack style of music rather then Heavy Metal. I think you did a fine job. What I have found with fan sim movies is that 3 minutes is all you really need. To compress as many cool explosions or building tempo within the first 30 secs. Then pow, kill the bad guys and then fly or limp home. Like a mission report in 3 minutes. Anyway, just something to think about. Like I said, well done David for your first attempt. -
Missing X52 Pro & Keyboard functions
Deigs replied to Toastie's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I too lost all my functions with the X52 Pro, The Pro. file worked in JOystick Editior, but I couldn't get the game to translate my button allocations? This happened out of the blue. I then went into the Options / Controls And had a look at the aircraft drop down field. There is 3 options, something like KA50 Game, KA50 Real, ect. Make sure you have Ka50 Real selected. And then it worked for me. That was my issue. I hope you find a solution soon. -
Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Deigs replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I love these threads :) Hmmm. Isn't it kinda depend on what The Fighter Collection does for the military? Regardless. DCS: Apache (AH-64B) DCS: Hornet (FA-18) Oh hell's yeah... -
Looks fantastic, can't wait

Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?
Deigs replied to some1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
+1 What they said. I don't know about you guys, but I'm keen for A-10 and all, but I still have LOTS to master with the Ka-50 first. I want that GAU-8 roaring like any red blooded simmer, but I'm happy knowing that each day they work on it, is another day of polish. DCS: Black Shark set the bar damn high, I want the boys to get this right and then some. But yeah, I'm still busy with the shark. :joystick: -
Would you seems pay for commercial add ons?
Deigs replied to BKLronin's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I would pay for it. (edit: ...well, not ALL of it) -
I play DCS 100% multiplayer online, always have. It's the guys in the server and Ventrilo who taught me how to fly. When I first started out I did everything wrong, clipped people in flight, shot at the wrong stuff, couldn't land properly, and released missiles at things I'd have been court marshaled for. The old dogs would sit back (a fair distance) and then quietly suggest how to do it. I had the manual but I learnt more from my peers and the experience, then a textbook. It's not lazy, it's just how I learn. I now teach other new pilots how to fly with the same patience that was given to me. If you love your hobby then encourage those struggling into voice comms (like team speak or Ventrilo) and help them out. I'll guarantee that those new guys will keep coming back and you'll build new pilots and pioneers for DCS.

What kind of aircraft do you wan't to see next?
Deigs replied to d0ppler's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
I'm no wizard, but isn't it because of what the 'military' side of TFC do in regards to contracts? They then have all that info and then (if they get the green light for the honcho's they just built it for), ED & TFC will start making a 'domestic' sim. It's what happened with A10C I have no idea, but thats the vibe. :music_whistling: -

Deigs replied to d0ppler's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
The DCS: A10-C Warthog is highly anticipated in my circles of online flyers, and the mythical DCS: AH64 Apache would be a dream come true, especially 2 seater multiplayer DCS: AH64. Brilliant. But my 'holy grail' of flight sim nirvana would be a DCS: F-14D Tomcat (2 seater!!) and based almost exclusively on carriers. Those puppies could do JDAM runs, Close air support with the cannon (watch Speed and Angels), CAP missions, Topgun school to learn the sim's dogfighting capabilities. The list is endless. To have this with DCS high fidilty simming glory... It is literately to good to be true. -
I have the X52Pro, and I think it's great. I've played with Logitech ones in the past when I was starting out and this HOTAS is such a departure from the cheap crap out there. If you want a nice HOTAS now, then I'd look into the X52 range. If you can hang on, then wait 6-9 months for the A10 Thrustmaster stuff. I'm buying that for sure! The software to configure your X52 is a bit tricky at first but very usable. I've just spent ALL day mapping out IL2, and I'm made a small start with DCS tonight. There is so many damn buttons.

That was a great night! Cool Mission and Cool Video. Lots of fun.

I know the boys in development need lots of insider info to build a DCS module, but I really, really, really hope they know a guy who meet a guy who's uncle is the R&D huncho who wants a nice sim for the Apache's (that piece of crap from Firebird's needs an update!), and they get the chance to flex their muscles and then superimpose that to a DCS module... Oh to dream.
