It's my birthday too! Lets hope ED honors our day. Any other big plans?
-
Haven’t done batch files in awhile, can you share the code for it? Will have to create two graphic files to use with it.

So I used to be able to do this in older version of DCS. I would set up an airfield with the Client airframes I want (helictopers and jets) and then select one and shift click to select another. I would select all of them, then be able to open up another mission - and paste them. Since the last update, I can't seem to shift click multiple units. As the method changed?

Anyone know the file location that contains the graphic presets (low, medium, high, and vr)? I wasn't to fine tune my High and VR for settings I use and don't want to have to manually do it each time I decide to fly with my Oculus on.
-
In the options settings I went to the VR tab and it's checked in there as I said in my original post. Is there another place to check for that setting?

So when I upgrade to 2.5 Open beta I removed my old versions since 2.5 is the wave of the future. I've been flying 2.5 with my trackIR for a couple weeks now and wanted to get back to VR flying. I hooked up my oculus rift, made sure it was working by checking out the home area, and then launched DCS 2.5. DCS launched like it normally does, when the VR isn't plugged in. I went to the VR section in options to make sure it can detect the headset when it's plugged in - and it's checked. But it seems like it doesn't detect it. Thinking it might be an oculus issue, I played some oculus games and they ran without issues. Anyone else having problems with Oculus Rift and 2.5, or just me?

So I'm trying to install the Open Beta 2.5 and whenever it moves files from my existing DCS folder (on my D drive) or when torrenting...it saves it all in my user folder (C drive). My OS hard drive is an SSD, but only has about 20 gigs free...so it's been running out of room. Any way to tell it to save torrent and moved files on my D drive instead?

Will recent climate changes, that might be sooner rather then later. Shall we say, "two weeks"?

Doing a Normandy test mission for about an hour or two if anyone wants to join. also streaming it on twitch to test it out:

So I've been dealing with this all day...starting around noon today. So first time it said it did the update and when I ran it, it opened up 1.5.6 screen. Figured since I hadn't flown in a long time because of my foot, I'd do a fresh install. So wiped DSC 2.0 and saved file for it. Downloaded installer from website...ran it again. About 2 hours later it was finally ready. Opened it up, it was correct version (2.1.0.5677 according to log). Said I needed to install terrain, figured Normady would be in there since I pre-ordered it. Only Nevada was available....so downloaded it. After installing it I went to modules and didn't see Normandy. So went to forums. I Found a way to download it using the "dsc_updater install" command. Got Normandy and the asset pack. Fired it up, put in the serial numbers. Got to main screen fine. Went to go into mission editor - it hung (I waited 10 minutes before killing it). Ran repair...found nothing wrong. Started again, got to main screen. Did instant mission for A-10C, it starts up but hangs. Looking at log file it hangs after his line: Recompilation process will take some time, please wait (this situation should not occur on end user PC, if there is no manual shader editing) So figured it was a graphics issue. Ended task, repaired, started her up again. This time I set all graphics to low. Tried it again - got the same error. Attaching my log file. Hopefully someone can figure it out. dcs.log.zip

Same here. Actually did a complete re-install of DSC 2 but still doesn't show Normandy in modules.
-
Thanks! Will test it out. I've been soft of just adding things as I learn new parts of it...but it's getting all crazy now. So figured time to relook at it and make it better.

Anyone have a good warthog profile for the Viggen yet?
-
It's a great script and I use it in my mission editing as well.
-
Stay tuned for official info on the project. We have some meetings coming up to discuss it and will let you know officially afterwards.

Thanks guys! Really appreciate it. Hope everyone spends lots of time with family and gets lots of sim related gifts. Personally, I got my self a DJI drone during the black friday sales..since I'm still waiting on my DJI Mavic Pro to arrive. While I can't say much...2017 is shaping up to be a interesting year.

Without pedals it's going to be hard to land or even take off with her. A twist stick might be ok for some helicopters - but makes it hard on the Gazelle. So my recommendation is to ask Santa for pedals this holidays.

We understand. Looking into it. Still on the list for this weeks test flight and should be done soon. After that we can start working on a fix.
-
Havne't had a chance to test it myself yet...but word is it's suppose be good now.
-
It's on the test schedule for this week. Once we test it on our version with debugging on we can narrow the issue down and fix it.
-
Will add it to my tests this week and report back.

Yeah VR is really bad on 2.0.4. Getting like 10-13 FPS with lowest settings. But as for Gazelle, still trying to fix the binary to work correctly in 2.0.4. Were working with our ED contacts to try to resolve the issue as quickly as we can. Once we have more information, I'll let you guys know.
