  1. In multiplayer everything DCS world sees comes from the pilot side. This includes what the helicopter is doing, where it is, and controls. When you pass the controls to the commander, the helicopter is still being controlled by the pilot according to DCS, but the inputs are coming from the commander. Because of the desync they are a little delayed and can cause an issue. It's being worked on.
  2. Please create a new thread for each problem so it's easier to find. But this is a know issue. We're working on reducing the sync time so that should help with this issue. But because this is the first heli to have multiplayer - things take a bit of time to fix.
  3. Your probably watching the wrong channel yet. My work with the Mod is on my own free time and the videos are on my youtube channel, not polychops. Plenty of official testing goes on during the week, how I spend my weekends is up to me.
  4. Been working on tweaking the Hellfire to actually achieve it's maximum range of 8000. I've got it working, but it seems to if you get closer then 4000, it doesn't work well. Not sure if I'll be able to fix it, but I think having them work at longer ranges will be good. Currently ideal height to fire is around 1000-1500 feet and you can aim right on the target. Made a quick video..oh and added smoke missiles as well.

  8. So I was planning on making a video during my next scheduled test flight. But seems like helijumper beat me to it: Either way, I have put in the request to get feedback on it from the actual pilots. So sit tight and wait for their response.
  9. So I have a gametrix 908 chair which simulates vibrations in DCS. it's pretty cool because it makes flying a bit more realistic. One cool part about it is that when you hit VRS - you feel it. So I've actually gotten better at recovering from VRS. Last flight I did was last night and I know I hit VRS at least twice in the latest 1.5.4 version.
  10. She's heavy and bit harder to fly. Typically about 110% weight. But if you handle her right and off load those missiles quickly the your good. 16 hellfires look awesome mounted, but you ain't getting off the ground. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Steps to reproduce said ships, so thats what was tested on the scheduled test flights. Either way, the data was collected and will be passed to the head engineer to review.
  14. The goal is that each person will be able to do everything. I agree that taking the work load off the pilot would be ideal.

  16. Desyncs are a pain. Were working on trying to reduce them to a usable state. Since helicopter is new territory in DCS world, thing are going a bit slow. Also keep in mind that testing multi-crew is a lot more time consuming as well. But it is working and you can still have tons of fun with it.
  17. So tested a little last night. While I still wasn't able to damage the ship and fly off, I think I see what could be causing it though. Because the pitch of the boat changes I think one of the landing points on the skids might register below the desk of the ship - causing the damage to appear. Will have to work with ED to verify this.

  19. Well again, having the same mission file so I can test it would be helpful. Just drop it on dropbox and send me the link and I'll take look. Because at this point, I haven't been able to replicate it on a ship yet.
  20. So over the weekend I did about 30 landings on ships with Gazelle, Ka-50, and Huey. All landings seemed not to damage the ship if it didn't damage the aircraft. On the Gazelle specifically, they only time it left any damage was when the helicopter itself was damaged (usually tail came off). I haven't been able to land it, cause that damage, and take off again. So for those of you who can replicate this, see if you can actually take off again. Because if you can't - it means the Gazelle is indeed damaged.
  21. You keep yourself busy, always a good thing. Let me know when you do get a chance to test it. I'll try to run some tests this week as well.
  22. Will test this week sometime....but try this: At second hover period, before turning on slave - have the commander center the vivian view again and require the target - then try slave mode. If this works, I think I know the issue.

  24. So me and Ramsey tested a lot of weapons systems last night and found out a couple things: Hellfire's look awesome, but are not very accurate over 2000m. The theory is that because the motor burns out half way through it's flight, it loses the ability to stay on target. Also the smoke from the hellfire clouds up the TV quite a bit making it hard to track if target is moving. Vickers and TOW4 worked the best and could be fired from the maximum range the Gazelle would allow (4300 m). Weight was still an issue so keeping it only on the pylon 1 and 2 seemed to help. Rockets worked great on the L version. Just need to fine tune the positioning. Air to Air we tested Aim-9x, R-73, Magic II, and R-60 (I might be forgetting one...but I'm sure Ramsey will remind me). Either way - they all worked great. Will try to download the pictures from my pit machine and upload sometime this week.
  25. Some weapons seem to work better then others in terms of actually guiding to target. Hellfires seem to miss quite often. But vickers and TOW4 seem to work great. I'll keep testing and see if I can find the most lethal combo. Then I'll work on a JSMGE package. Also weight is a big factor. loading the helictoper up with too much weight makes her harder to fly.
