I don't understand why people are getting so precious about their activations. You can always get more.. its easy, just ask. Hell 2 would do me for a year no problem, let alone 8 or so.

No i have no throttling with my ISP. All other DCS torrents were downloaded in minutes at max speeds.. its just the World one won't move. :( I'll have to get it from the direct links i suppose.

What the hell is going on with the DCS World torrent.. been downloading all day at 10kb/s :(

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I struggle with softth to be honest, all sorts of issues. For help with that PeterP is your man. I know that fps really suffers if you run in window mode and Aero off, no idea why but with Aero on my fps is practically double what it is when its off. Glad you have got it working more or less. If you need help with this setup & softTH i really can't help much. Good luck -
Oh god.. its gonna take me a month to get all my setting / mods / tweaks sorted out again. (I need to sort out a system to make this easier in the future.) Deleting the saved games folder is advised... arrgghhh. :fear: :P Thanks ED. indeed.. eta for me is 1 year 4 weeks! lol

Yes... you want to use 'uncontrolled'. Not 'late activation' This is an option only available to aircraft once they are placed on the 'ramp'. You then can activate the aircraft by using 'Triggered Actions' > Perform Command > Start. You can then add a trigger that has this AI Task > Start. The condition of the Trigger can be what ever you want... Doing this you will have the plane sitting on the ramp awaiting its start command.

Thanks. How do you get the correct distance IRL? And is that possible in CA?

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
If you are planning on following my guide these requirements are IMPORTANT. Yours is the right most monitor. I'm only willing/able to support my guide if it is followed.. the essential requirement are, well essential. Hope this helps. ( i know if you use SoftTH you can use full screen.. but i suggest you follow the guide 1st get it working and then use SoftTH to improve performance.) EDIT: Read your post a bit closer.. all i can suggest is make the left the primary and then provide your lua and settings. Having anything other than the left as main is just problematic. If you want the the 3 top monitors to be viewport=centre you will not be able to utilise the full height of the portrait ones. Each view port is governed by one set of x / y coordinated and sizes. You can't have the left & right monitors having a different height resolution to the centre monitor and have them all governed my the same settings without loosing some of the viewable area. -
Excellent thanks. But tank gunners surely must be able to see something or have a system to allow them to correct their aim. Otherwise tanks would be next to useless. I speak with complete ignorance but governed by common sense. :)

Oh dear.. i think you mean a bullock. Glad it wasn't a dairy farm.. :music_whistling:

If i understand correctly nothing has really changed, comparison is valid. LockOn was developed by ED and published by Ubisoft... the follow Flaming Cliffs were developed be ED and published by TFC. (not sure if that is world wide though) But the structure is the same.. but i'm sure the relationship is different now between publisher & developer. :)

Indeed the more they can squeeze in the better. :) P.S we're on page 58.. get it right lads.

Sounds like the master server is screwed to me... I'll get my coat. :clown_2:

Yeah i was talking about the main cannon. Cheers Mustang.. I'll check that out.
-
I've hardly played CA..so this might be a dumb question. I took a quick spin in a MBT, upon firing you get completely blinded by the cannon smoke. And at the range i was firing i was unable to see where my shells were landing. i.e the explosion had finished before the smoke had cleared. I found it impossible to get my range. How can you counteract this?
-
if you know you have been detected.. sure try and save your tank by killing the threat.. i am assuming the tanker has not been discovered and by firing he has a very slim chance of making a kill but a decent chance of altering an aircraft that was designed to kill him... that's just dumb in my ill educated opinion.
-
Personally i'd of thought firing a AT weapon at a dedicated flying tank buster would be a pretty stupid or brave, take your pick.

no no no.. this community is comprised of a single being... :music_whistling:

Both Peter and myself have written guides that explains how this works and how to work out coordinates etc. We have both linked you to our guides. Have you read them? What don't you understand in them? All I can suggest is you read my guide slowly and carefully and follow it. Or if you prefer Peters follow his and follow it.

Would it make any difference if Wags had taken the time to explain the issues they have not resolved in time? Would it make didums feel better?

What can I expect from more R.A.M.?
MadTommy replied to neroroxxx's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I don't understand peoples' obsession with boat loads of RAM. Simply run resource monitor and monitor your RAM usage.. that should tell you if you need more RAM. If you are not utilising all your RAM why get more? 8 GB RAM is more than enough for DCS and just about anything else. Going from 16 - 32 just seems crazy unless you are using very specific RAM hogs. Sure if you want RAM disks, its a different matter. -
From Wags... The writing was on the wall. You can all rest your F5 key. :)
