  1. Found these under Bazar\Effects\SKY :shocking: Are these renders? look absolutely amazing...look like photos. :suspect:
  2. I was having a root around the game files.... More images can be found here Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\dxgui\skins\skinME\images\mission editor Looks very nice... Any way to enable this now? :music_whistling:
  3. ctrl-shift-Esc And manually kill the process.
  4. I haven't flown the Ka-50 for a couple of months, just been flying and i thought tree shadows had been removed. On closer inspection, they are there just very faint. Almost impossible to see unless you look for them, certainly invisible while flying. :( This screenshot is from a 7pm summer time mission.. where you would expect big shadows. Is this intended, have they been changed? Version: 1.2.1.6192.27498 EDIT: should have said.. all setting are on High.
  5. Great performance with all set to High.. But i noticed Tree Shadows seem to be missing. It might have just been the mission i ran... might have been noon. But i was down very low in the ka-50 and there were no shadows from trees but there were shadows from buildings. And yes, options has them turned on. EDIT: Ok tree shadows are there.. just very faint.
  6. Update version=1.2.1.6192.27498 Changed files. ED are being busy bees :)
  7. ED is like a kid with a new toy... updates coming thick and fast! :D
  8. I think you can just delete the Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\Ka-50 folder. Then re-install.
  9. I've had this happen to me several times... i havent been able to get to the root of the problem, but it was defiantly related to multmonitor setups and or viewport exports, repair did not fix it. Had to do full install.
  10. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94814
  11. PeterP i should have said.. i had altered all of those except ocean.fx & hdr.fx so its possible the other were installed as part of the verify files process. But they could alternatively also be included for all, especially as i suspect this is a fps optimisation update.
  12. As of today.. this is how it woks.. never had a wish so quickly granted! Thanks ED!
  13. Presently doing this... But i ran into a really odd problem that i cant understand or explain. I did this for my multimonitor & viewport export files.. but when i copied them over in bulk it caused a corruption that left me without a cockpit, as seen attached. But when i copied them over individually everything was ok. It makes no sense, i know, i was tearing my hair out trying to figure the problem. Even running 'repair' did not resolve the issue, i had to reinstall from scratch.
  14. List of modified files in update: 1.2.1.6148.27471 (For me at least, i have all modules)
  15. That might be close to being true if the backup folder kept the folder structure of the altered files. As it is they get dumped into one generic folder. Keeping the folder structure would save us a hell of a lot of time. Do you have a methodology for restoring that i am missing?
  16. Controls & missions are stored in the save games folder and remain unaltered. Its any core game files in the games root directory that are affected.
  17. When the Mater Warning bug was prominate i switch the warning ogg with a sample for Bob Marley's, Don't worry...every little thing is gonna be ok :)
  18. Another update today... god the updater is sooooo sloooow for me. Its painful. version: 1.2.1.6148.27471 Downloading 94976835 bytes in 108 objects
  19. I'm finding it a little hard to follow your questions/post.. but with a bit of a guess.. All modified files are moved when you update.. They were backed up in .backup_000 folder in the installation folder. This threat has some interesting input from ED devs explaining their thinking and future plans. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94835
  20. Do you run/use any mods / modified files? I'm curious to understand how many of us do. With advent of the auto updater running modified files is a bit of a challenge right now. The updater, verifies files and moves modified files to a backup folder, effectively unistalling them. I understand ED's logic and I'm aware they have plans to make this process less painful for us. This poll may help influence the priority placed upon this work. Please vote, simple yes or no. EDIT: One caveat, If you did run mods but have stopped now due to their removal by autoupdater, i suggest you vote yes. i.e if you ran mods in 1.2.0.
  21. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=94781 But bear in mind what Viper has said..
  22. Do you mean controller profiles, i.e at the top of each section, (keyboard, joystick, trackir) where you can 'save as' and 'load'. Personally i never use save as and load options.. i simply use the default profile and add or change the keyboard & HOTAS commands, remove the ones i don't want and click OK.
  23. No.. don't think that is your issue. It should not matter where the game is installed. I have DCS on my C drive as its an SSD but i have FC2 on my E drive, and have no issue with it.
  24. Hmmm never had this happen to me. On win7 by default all key commands are stored here: C:\Users\<your login name>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input So even if you uninstall & reinstall your key commands are unaffected. Do you have an irregular PC setup that might affect this folder location?
