Advice to mission designers re waypoint placement
MadTommy replied to Bahger's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I agree. Also having waypoints right on top of targets makes it boring and way too easy. I prefer the challenge of having to locate targets. The only missions I make with targets on waypoints are training missions. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)

You need to save it as a .lua file. And you should not use notepad or wordpad. They can corrupt lua code. I'd rewrite it using Notepad++ from scratch. -

Are you saving it as a *.lua in the \Eagle Dynamics\DCS A-10C\Config\MonitorSetup\ folder Not that this would stop it showing up but these, in red, look wrong.. LEFT_MFCD = { x = 10; y = 1000; width = 400; height = 400; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1100; y = 1000; width = 400; height = 400; } -
Never mind, mis-read OP

Is it possible to get Windows 7 to use 2 keyboards, where each keyboard can have separate set of inputs associated with it? I know i can use 2 keyboards.. but can i assign different functions to different ones? I have a wireless one collecting dust that i would love to use for CDU inputs and the like while keeping my main one for all the default commands and regular inputs. I doubt this is possible.. but there might be some hack or app that can make it work. :helpsmilie:

It's been pointed out to me that the SA-3 is missing. This is not listed in the in game encyclopaedia and therefore I had no info on it. When i make Part 2 and a Target Guide as planned i'll see if i can add it by finding the relevant data, unless ED fancy adding it or providing the info :) -
Yes there will defiantly be a DVD version.. when I can't answer. If BlackShark is anything to go by (which it may not be), if i remember correctly, it was several months after the DL version before they release the DVD version. Get the DL version, burn a DVD, make some labels & covers.. and hey presto!

I think so; from the Flight Manual; Page 409. But i stand to be corrected. Any errors, post up and i'll edit. EDIT: It might be the launcher itself that has a radar....??? -
Here is a threat guide i have made up. There are 3 versions of pdf, OPFOR, NATO or Both. Print Version - OPFOR Threat Guide: Part 1 (877KB) Web Version - OPFOR Threat Guide: Part 1 (299KB) Web version - Nato Threat Guide. (324KB) Print version - Nato Threat Guide. (786KB) Web version - Complete Threat Guide (613KB) Print version - Complete Threat Guide (1.57MB) A5 version by PlainSight EDIT: PlainSight has made a A5 version and he asked me to add it to my versions.. so here it is. Thanks PlainSight Here are a couple of pages from the guide as a preview. ALL the info has been taken from the game files. Plainsight's A5 condensed version... This is part 1 and only covers what i consider to be A10c OPFOR threats, i.e non Nato stuff. I'll do part 2 later. Enjoy. EDIT: One thing I forget to say.. it's a ground threat guide only. And error on BUK system fixed Updated the guide available: Added Dog Ear: And all NATO ground threats.. preview: :)

TAD Map.. has its resolution been reduced?
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
No it's set at 1024 every frame or what ever it is.. maybe i need to go to spec savers! I have the TAD at 900x900 on my 2nd monitor, it just does not look as crisp as i recall Beta4 looking. Must just be me. -
+1 same conclusion.

TAD Map.. has its resolution been reduced?
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It appears you are correct. Weird something looks different to me. But both TAD_COLLECTION.zip (contains the map tiles) from beta 4 and final version look to be the same. -
"Taxi to runway 21".. Err ok i know what direction it's facing.. but that is all. Some airfields its easy.. on others it's not so. With external views enabled.. i hit F2 and zoom out to figure where to go... with no external views i drive around like an idiot! :( In fog with no taxiway lights its bit of a
