Hawg Touch profiles & setups.
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks mate, no problem. Here is my profile for using my MFD & UFC together. The xml file is in the rar. Here is what it looks like on my setup: Most will have to edit to fit their setups. I've assigned keystrokes, bit random, but should not conflict with any other setup. For the MFD i've used ClearDarks assignments found here.. New profile attached, old one removed. Hawg Touch profiles & setups.

UFC Panel profile Ok i finally got this done, all buttons animated. There is a preview: Attached are the images and xml profile for just the UFC panel, contained in a rar file. @ClearDark.. there were a few label issues, looked like a copy/paste issue.. that i have corrected. These errors were in both 1.2 & 1.25 version. (for example <Name>DATASWTCH</Name> was the lable for several buttons) Tommy's_UFC_Profile.rar -
Just to note.. i have not experienced the same issues as strongarm.. been using this for some time now.

Cool, makes sense. And yeah, due to the semi transparent & button size issues i need to site down and redo quite a bit on the UFC panel, and i've been short on time. I'll try and get it done asap. ;) -

Thanks druid but it makes no difference. I tried that already.. This is using the file you have supplied.. same result as i get. Its not a big issue, just annoying. -

Thought we could do with a thread dedicated to profiles etc for Hawg Touch great addon from ClearDark The thread for the addon Hawg Touch is here ___________________________________________ (Using version 1.2) My setup is two monitors horizontally aligned, both have resolutions of 1680x1050px. So the combined game resolution is 3360x1050px. However these profiles are easily adapted to any size monitors. if you don't have the same setup you won't need the MonitorSetup.rar. HawgTouch profile MFD at 100% is 1050x1050px I have removed the UFC, Test Panel and scale test.. so there is only the 3 MFCD profiles. I made a new frame and associated buttons, to minimise the space it requires. Thise files are in the HawgTouch profile in the images folder. I've included two multimonitor setup lua files to match two Hawg Touch profiles. There are actually 3 Hawg Touch profiles, but i just haven't made the multimonitor file for the 3rd one. Profiles: LMFD 1050px RMFD 630px LMFD 840px RMFD 840px LMFD 525px RMFD 525px Some details to help you adapt this for your own resolutions: @ 100% scale. MFD region is 835x835px Left boader is 110px Top is 100px Right is 104px Bottom is 115px Examples: @ ClearDark the 'pink' issue has defeated me.. at 100% my frame has no pink, when the size is reduced it does. If you have time, can you have a look, as i'm stumped. (if i make the background 255, 0 255 the problem is worse.) Hawg Touch - MFD Profiles (Tommy).rar MonitorSetup.rar

There is a sub forum section here...Mission Editor Issues. Your question is a little unclear, waypoints have little to do with triggers & conditions. You can use triggers in advanced waypoint options to turn advanced option on & off. Are you trying to get the plane to stop orbiting when a flag is true? Maybe you can describe what you are trying to do again..

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
MadTommy replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I need to do a little tweaking on the guide.. as a few issues have been highlighted. One of which you have found i reckon.. You can do what you describe.. but the left monitor MUST be the 'primary' monitor in Windows.. and the cockpit will be on the 2nd monitor, with the MFCDs on the 'primary' one. -
Thanks mate, I figured out what the problem is prior to reading your post.. The problem i'm seeing is that semi-transparent parts show as fuschia. So even with the background all fuschia any parts that are semi-transparent show fuschia. This is what i'm seeing around my rocker switch for example. When i create shadows for buttons etc the shadow become fuschia as they are semi-transparent. Sorry to be a pain.. i hope this makes sense.

Update looks good, good work. __________________________ Here is one of the issues i'm having with 1.1 The same frame has no problems in 1.0 To be honest i'm find this transparency thing pretty frustrating. I wont continue working on these graphics presently as I don't understand what is going on. What is the purpose of this fuschia being set as 'transparent'? And why can't transparency be transparent? Thanks.
-
Why would i get fuschia showing on my MFCD? seems odd. Also why do you need a colour for transparency? Why not just have it transparent. Also when i tried to use fuschia as transparent it was not... I have not found this the case.. but i need to do some checking and testing. I'm getting fuschia around a rocker switch on the UFC. I'll look into it. Ok fair enough.. just an idea. Otherwise every alteration to the size of a panel requires all buttons to be realigned, pain in the ass. :)
-
ClearDark i really need to understand how transparency is handled. And why i am getting fuschia (255,0,255) colouration on some images? I'm getting it around my MFCD frame & certain buttons for the UFC. Is selecting a colour for transparency needed? Can transparent not just be transparent? Also can transparent parts of buttons be clicked through.. this would save loads of work regarding button alignment. If so all images could be located at x=0, y=0, by using images as below, the same size as the panel but transparent. Below are 2 examples of buttons.. These can just be placed over the background.. Thanks.

You can, no problem with that. Its the animated buttons etc that you need to sort out. I'm looking to replicate the one in the pit as much as possible, this includes button animations. I find it easier and more satisfying do this from scratch than a screenshot. Gives me better results for me. (edit: i'm sure everything that i'm doing can be found in a dds file somewhere within the game.. but it would probably take longer to find them than remake them)
