Not using GCI is a tremendous misconception in Western civilian general audience. US never had absence of GCI or AWACS in real combat. Absense of HQ outside of cockpits is not "adding flexibility", its removing tactical and operational analisis. Also what is really put into "flexibility"? It's military, not school yard. You have objective you go get it. or "Dudes I don't feel protecting 3 mechanized batallions refueling and rearming for the next 45 minutes, I see a helicopter, monke neuron activates". And then a single MiG-27 obliterates your infantry batallion with a tactical nuke. Fits in smaller shelters, easier to operate from highways and even grass, short turnaround, easier maintenance. It's very similar to Viggen in this regard. Got an opinion from an SME - 9.12A, technician. Overspill was very rare, based on some combination of switching radar modes they could not catch, which caused blanking to start de-syncing time to time. Pilots used SPO in training.

Being blinded by own radar is listed as "Common malfunction" in SPO-15 manual for ground personnel. To make SPO-15 not blinded by own radar, technician must perform service stated in SPO-15 collection of technical cards, book 3 card 9. It explicitly states that radar bleed into display is a malfunction.

Алюминий похож а стали я бы добавил глянца. На третьем скриншоте явно перекраска поверх старой краски. Говорят делали фотограмметрию в словацком(кажется) музее. Но до выхода я бы не судил, по видео понять сложно.

Сталь, алюминий, бакелит и пластик покрашенный одной и той же черной масляной краской выглядят по разному потому что дают разную реакцию на свет - отражение, поглощение, у пластика подповерхностное рассеивание. Physics Based Rendering не просто так так называется. Иногда ходожники забывают о разнице реальных материалов прототипа и бросают один материал игрового движка на поверхности из разных металлов. Например бывает бросают 1 рафмет на приборку(которая из листа алюминия) и безели и циферблаты приборов(из стали). Когда это правится, кабина становится "живее" и "объемнее" при тех же текстурах что были.

А какой смысл ставить гнезда расширения и их контроллеры на материнскуnullю плату? По проекту функционал должен был быть такой как на Су-27 но завод не справлялся а потом Perestroyka. Хотя вот 9-15 86-91 года даже успел пройти испытания.

Этот блочок с 2 тумблерами буквально прикручен к передней панели монитора на 2 винта под крестовую отвертку. Вообще не вижу причин почему прямо в части не могли тупо открутить его законтрив нужные контакты.

R-27T was only a matter of procurement. APU470 is a cooled rail. Asked a MiG technician - yes it could use the T, no they didn't have them delivered. Model - baseline 9-12. Photos of APU470 preparation TBD. Regarding Su-27 not being able to launch it from AKU - it's not about loosing lock, it's about AKU doesn't incorporate cooling system in the first place.
