  1. That dot, if it is a plane, also may have you in a notch which is why the radar and IRST would not be picking it up.
  2. Has anyone else noticed the absence of the farting sounds (sorry thats the best word I could think of to describe it) there were heard at the end of the Flankers startup sequence? I had heard that this sound was actually heard in real life and was part of the character of the Flanker. Maybe that's true and maybe its not, but I did like that sound and miss it now that its not there.
  3. Is the new thrust model in Beta and Alpha for the Flanker and Flanker-D accurate? I personally have no idea, I just noticed a pretty large change in power and acceleration all through the power range. I used to be able to climb at 90% no problem after departure from an airfield, but now find it very very slow and I have to keep my climb rate very low. Also 85% thrust, which I used to use for cruise, is not almost completely unusable. I find that if I do use that power setting to cruise decelerate to 500-600 IAS in no time. I by now means am an expert on this subject which is why I felt like asking here would be he best place to see where others think this should lie.
  4. I thought it was in the newest patches for both Beta and Alpha?
  5. Yep. That is how it is supposed to be. There should be 5 or 6 folders now. Each folder is for a different part of the mod. You can activate as many or as few as you want. I broke the mod up to give people the opportunity to easily activate and deactivate parts and things that they may or may not want. Installation is still the same. Just extract the zip to your _mods directory and have at it. Let me know if you need any help.
  6. Team Rosters updated. If you have not already, check out The Merge on Splash One Gaming. All points and brackets along with schedule and stats will be tracked here.
  7. The su27 is missing the characteristic farting sound that is heard when startup and engines spool. The sound is evident in release, but has seemingly been removed in beta and alpha. As I understand it, this sound was real and was audible in the real jets. Would love to have it back in.
  8. Does anyone know if its possible to add more trees than what the slider allows for? Running in surround the trees get eaten up quite quickly and do not render very far out. Want to add more so that I get a more realistic effect by having the trees farther out in the view distance.
  9. All releases are updated on the main page. Currently on v13. If you missed it, here is a direct link. :) Moltar's Mod
  10. So I modified stuff again and this is where I am at currently... There is an issue with the sounds coming in abruptly and I will be talking to support about that, but there is nothing I can do about it currently. If you listen to the unmodded sounds in the same types of passes you can hear the sound cut in its just quieter.
  11. Are you getting that error when trying to go to Splash One Gaming's website? If you are, take the 's' out of https so that its just http for the site url.
  12. Can anyone help me get this installed on our server? Having some issues understanding how to get this to work and how to get it on the box.
  13. Added a new version for Beta. This includes sounds only. All of the old files still work, these updates just fix some issues that Beta presented. Also included is a sound mod for the Harrier by 112th_Rossi.
  14. What is the name of the actual sound file that is responsible for the RRP sound?
  15. Integrity Check is not trigger by sound mods. All sounds mods pass IC with no issues. I run my game with almost all of its sounds files modified and it works with no issues.
  16. There seems to be an issue with the new distant jet sounds. The Flanker, in comparison to the Eagle, is not using all of the new distant jet sounds. It sounds cheap in comparison to the Eagle. Not sure if this is intentional or if the new sounds and engine modifications were not complete for the beta. These differences are.most apparent in a head of low pass when the viewer or listener is sitting to one side approx 100m. the flanker almost had a hissing sound in comparison to the Eagle that you can actually hear engine sounds. Also, the sounds tapper off way way too fast. The Jets are completely in audible after only approx 1k which is a really really short distance when you're talking about the back of a jet in gate or mil power. Love what you guys have done, but I think they need some refinement.
  17. No need to apologize. Easy fix, but for a lot of people that fly DCS they might now know or notice the issue. Added you as a friend on Reddit.
  18. By the way. You're missing a folder in your download folder structure. You should have the Engines folder here... Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts But you have it here... Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Sounds\sdef
  19. Thanks a bunch! Just trying to make things easy for people that want multiple mods. I added you to my list of authors for credit. You can see the pack here. I do post here on the ED forums, but it links directly to Reddit.
  20. Do mind if I add this to my mod pack that I run for the DCS community? If you're cool with that, do you have any issues with me changing the sdef settings if needed so that it works better with the other things I already have included?
  21. I chopped the threatnew, lock, and launch warnings in half for the RWR and uploaded them to my drive. Link is below. In order to install them, navigate to the following, unzip, and place the files in the RWR directory. Overwrite anything that it asks. Moltar's Mod - Sound\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Cockpits\RWR RWR Changes for Buckeye EDIT: These changes will become default in any future releases of my mod pack, so don't worry about copying the fix to a new version if there is one.
  22. Well... It looks like I lied. That slider doesnt change the volume. Can you go through and let me know if its all the sounds or really only the scan and lock sounds? Feel free to go through the list of sounds here. Just be aware that the volume of the actual file when played is not the volume of the file in game. The in game volume of the sound when its played is defined by the sdef files that set a gain level for each sound. Moltar's Mod - Sound\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Cockpits\RWR
  23. Cockpit volume does not change the AB or missile launch sounds. Those are all external sounds that are actually governed by the 'World' slider in the options menu. Try lowering the cockpit volume and let me know how it sounds.
  24. The TEWS is the RWR, correct? I havnt changed the volumes at all. It may just be that the sounds are more apparent with the external sounds lowered. Let me know if it's the RWR and I will fix it. I'll have a listen today.
  25. Glad you're enjoying it. If there is anything you want changed or you think does not suit your taste let me know and I can tell you what needs to be changed in the files to make it happen.
