  1. I just reduce thrust to 99% then gently nudge it up to 100%....
  2. Very nice! I’ve always liked that scheme. I would assume FA.1, as it would have been contemporary with the Sea Harrier FA.2 in service being a 1990s bird. No strike role anymore. Have you tried launching it off your Hermes?
  3. I would urge anyone who hasn't seen it to seek it out. Yes the plot is cheesy but the flying scenes, of which there are a lot are mind blowing hardly any CGI. From Wikipedia: "Les Chevaliers du Ciel was filmed in co-operation with the French Air Force. Initially the standard safety rules applied, but eventually the minimum allowed altitude was reduced to 3 m (10 ft) and the minimum distance between aircraft was reduced to 1 m (3 ft)" That says it all!
  4. The Vinson already appears as an icon in the ME, Hornets and SH-60s look about the right size on deck. You can't position them yet but I'd say it looks promising. Having all objects like this in the ME will making setting up target sites etc much more accurate.
  5. They have said coupled mode autopilot will be implemented sometime after early access release. This will follow a flight plan.
  6. Take my money now! [opens wallet] :pilotfly: FRS1 is my dream DCS module, love the NA as a stop gap though.
  7. As a flyable module or AI? Hopefully the former.

    mission 3

Updated mission worked fine, thanks Baltic!

    mission 3

Thanks Baltic, appreciate it’s not your fault. Love this campaign and can’t wait for the Red Flag one.

    mission 3

I've tried this mission twice since the latest patch and both times lead has got stuck taxiing. He rolls out OK and taxis down, pauses to let some troops run by then continues to taxi but stops half-way through the 90 degree right hand turn towards the runway just in front of the parked E-3.
  11. Press DSEG on the EHSD page.
  12. I just tried Mission 3 the AAR one which also was suffering from Lead not taxiing out of the HAS. He did taxi out but got stuck turning the corner to the runway in front of the parked E-3 sentry.
  13. You are correct sir! I missed that one in my TACAN list. It was initially pointing in the correct place but as I approached the Tarawa it kept moving further out to sea! Set to 33X I get bearing only information like the others.
  14. I set Tarawa to 31X in the ME and get all the expected direction and DME information displayed. Presumably any other channel will work. Perhaps make sure that the chosen channel doesn't conflict with one of the airfield TACANS?
  15. Same here, stabbed the basket several times with no joy.
  16. Are you sure you had both A/A and T/R selected? I have done quite a bit of AAR the last few days and get all the info shown on Y.
  17. I don't recall seeing it mentioned but you can now get the current waypoint displayed in the HUD, much better for finding targets in VR. Hit the DSEG button on the EHSD and a diamond appears over the targets and the ARBS is slaved to it, really useful. Really enjoying the update.
  18. Yes they move up, you have to be pretty wings level for the attitude hold and in levelish flight for altitude hold or they don't engage.
  19. This is probably operator error but after Hot Patch 3 I don't get the INS aligned or a flight plan loaded with a cold start (hot start works fine). I do make sure the INS switch is turned to Nav before the HUD is powered as per previous workaround which used to work but it seems one of the last couple of hot fixes has changed something. It happens in all missions I have tried, NTTR and Caucasus. Any ideas? Cheers Colin
  20. I don't see this behaviour, flew the Mirage extensively earlier today and did some mission building. Might be worth running a repair on your install?
  21. I fuel dumped in two missions this afternoon, switches returned to off when set bingo level was reached as expected. In 2.5 Caucasus.
  22. It’s an ACMI pod, for tracking aircraft during exercises. See http://www.eielson.af.mil/News/Article-Display/Article/642597/acmi-pods-produce-knowledge-keeps-warfighters-sharp/
  23. Thanks to Zabuza in the main Viggen forum, I've finally managed to get the kneeboards working which is really helpful for VR. To save everyone else the hassle, attached are the kneeboards for the Viggen Campaign (which you will need to use them of course). Drop the files into the DCS\Mods\aircraft\AJS37\Cockpit\scripts\KNEEBOARD\ indicator\CONTENT directory. Use at your own risk, may not pass integrity check etc. You can rearrange them by changing the file names, the order is alphabetical. https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=176155&d=1515931383 Cheers Colin
