Dogfighting in the F-15 is really easy. Here's how you'll beat most opponents: 1. Burner On. 2. If opponent not in HUD: Pull on stick 3. If opponent in HUD: Shoot. 4. Go to 2.

In two weeks when the Hornet launches, it will not be any better than the M2000 at anything. It is slower, uses more fuel and has worse Fox 1 missiles and has the same ground strike abilities as the M2000. We're gonna be bug swatting on RED, all day long :pilotfly:

Moving the M2000 to Red only has done wonders for the balance. It is a very popular aircraft (for good reason) and will draw people to one side or another, and has.

Lately we've often been hitting enemies in MP with 2, 3, 4 missiles, before they have trouble fighting back or going down. Maybe the F15 has a bad rap because it is so popular and we keep having to fight against them but there is clearly something going on, somewhere.

Its aiming to be a no holds barred kinda server hence the lack of external views. You can use them to find sneaky enemies so that's that. The discord thing isn't too bad, you must be on discord (even just in the browser) and your DCS username must match (case too) your discord name for the DDCS discord server (you can have different usernames in different discord servers). It also makes teamwork a lot easier because everyone per side has to be in the voice channel (you can mute it if you want).

The map is dead in terms of Multiplayer. Hardly anyone hosts / flies public servers on it. It may well be very alive and well amongst the Single Player users. Difficult to tell.

Ciribob confirmed in discord that a PG server will be put up, but it'll take a few weeks after launch. I'm quite keen to see what they have in store.

The R60M has a small warhead so one shot kills are rarer but I do think the F15 is tanking damage (for whatever reason, maybe it is latency related?) at the moment. I've had to hit them with multiple magics after they took a 530 in the face this weekend. So its not just you. I've seen the same thing with r60s on Blue Flag, trying to kill F15s.

The point is, every time someone different opens up their mouth in communities like this, there's a zerg rush of mouthbreathers berating them for saying something reasonable, and they wouldn't if one of their ilk did the same. If that's your experience day in and day out everywhere, you certainly won't even try to invest time into a game completely dominated by such people. Why would you? Its easier to shut up and stay out of sight. Also, these dumb dumbs don't seem to get the fact that if DCS's numbers doubled, we'd get twice as much toys in the same time.

The problem isn't the GPU, my 1070 doesn't run at 100% in MP and mostly not in SP. There is a CPU bottleneck inherent to the way directX works (draw function calls what what). The only way around this is the vulcan api and to introduce multithreading where it'll make the frame times less.

ED doesn't have them because <its a male game>. This is how sexism works all over the place. It could be active discrimination (women are not allowed to play), seemingly harmless comments (you fight like a girl) or just making them unseen (no female pilot voices). Then you have people standing up for ED saying they may not have enough resources. They have enough resources to make dozens of almost identical gray skins for the Hornet, so the resource theory is wrong. They can do it, but nobody asked them to, people are now asking them to. You have no reason to object to it. Also, telling people to 'get over it, toughen up' is not a solution, you should be telling other guys (because guys tend to listen to guys see "sexism") to behave better. That would make a small difference.

Why all the reeling Zhukov, MurderOne? I mean, if DCS changes to having pilot models and voices for a bunch of different kinds of people, it would not change your gameplay one little bit. Also, MurderOne, your comment about escaping, escapes me. You want to escape from being civil to other people? Do you think this is some kind of Men's Right's Activist group or something? Again, I find it strange that some men feel it necessary to become defensive. All Elysian_angel is asking for is to be acknowledged as a member of the community. Being inclusive to all genders and walks of life never hurt any community. Your language is already dictated. You're not allowed hate speech already (in basically every country) and on this forum there are some other rules too, so you're wrong. Telling people to toughen up is an easy thing to say to the minority, think about the reverse, I know, its hard to imagine but just try. Elysian, please keep poking the dudes, eventually, some of us will start to understand how we exclude others (People of different ethnicities, genders, people of different sexual orientations etc), without realising. For those who do realise and still does it, you probably need some help, go find it.

Same for the rest of us. I use Gamma on 1.5, else everything looks washed out. Cockpits are very dark though, especially the M2000.

The rotor tilts forward a bit when the cyclic is centred. You need to pull back on it to make it level. Also a bit left, to make up for tailrotor's effect on main rotor wash.

Nvidia control panel settings does nothing. Just set it to High Performance mode. The rest of the settings aren't applied to the rift.

Running a 1070 and VR, mig21 does seem to have lower frames than before, or uneven frame timings or something.

I have a 1070 and a rift. MSAA 2x and off looks basically the same but the one is faster :D

Switch MSAA off when using VR. Everything flickers either way.
