  2. For those who don't understand. Using the F10 map in VR is fine. Looks like a huge curved screen you can click on. However, when you get into a vehicle, the view is stuck to the front of your face and you can't look around like you're used to. So controlling vechicles in VR is effectively impossible and broken. I'm assuming OP is talking about this. I'd be very unhappy if I bought it for $40 in this state.
  3. Your numbers don't invalidate the statement that MP numbers are much smaller than SP numbers. I've also seen ED saying this (not sure if its 5%), but can't remember which threads. Either way, looking at the multiplayer server browser's player and server counts will show you that there are nowhere near enough MP players to provide ED with enough money or incentive to spend the effort making DCS, which leads me to believe that there must be a pretty large SP userbase out there that provides the means.

  6. It used to work and I think it still does if you use GBU-12. However, with the Mk-8x bombs it just releases them, which makes INS bombing useless. In general we don;t need it because we're always flying in daytime and in good weather in MP, so the INS method isn't need much.

  8. Hi, no it doesn't, the bombs releases immediately, instead of automatically. I've reported this bug so many times in the last year+ I can't even. I really can't even.

  10. I think the Huey's start button is on the bottom of the collective and you can't see it or click it anyway, so you kinda have to use HOME or bind it to something you like.
  11. Problem with EDs solution is that you can’t peak under the ring, so you need to switch off nvg look inside the cockpit. They need to make the ring quite a bit smaller so we can see inside and outside, and have it work in MP. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I fly helos (All of them) on MP a lot and in Blue Flag and DDCS at least, here's plenty of non-shooting flying to be done. In Blue Flag you fly crates around and unpack to set up defences, repair bases, transport troops to capture etc. In DDCS you have to sling load crates to set up defences and convoys etc. Very little shooting happens from helos (besides the KA50 and two of the Gazelle variants). If you want to have the easiest to start and go, the Huey is the thing. You flip about 4 switches and it goes. It is quite slow though and is tricky to sling-load with. The Mi8 has a bunch of steps to do to get it to go, about the same amount as the Ka50, but after a while you can do them in your sleep. ITO sling loading and general comfort, the Mi8 is the best one, and is my favourite of the transport choppers.
  13. Choppers are hard to find on radar if they move slowly, in DCS. The rotors don't seem to have any extra effect in this regard from what I've experienced, usually the lock breaks when I come to a hover.
  14. Well, most of us play in VR with framerates of 22-45 and most of us don't get sick because of it. 90 is great! but it almost never gets there in DCS. I wouldn't worry about the 80Hz vs 90Hz. Its not a problem in DCS because most of us can't reach that anyway.

  17. Yeah you can see this effect when using night vision goggles. The display (left eye?) shows a chunk of display below the illuminated ring of the NVG but in the rift you can only see the ring. It would make sense to not render that part, maybe we can get a few frames extra?

  19. While in MP your client has to calculate a lot more stuff than when in SP, it is much harder on the CPU in general (which you can see by the much lower GPU usage, it's waiting) so most of us in MP turn down the things that increases CPU, like view distance, shadows, MSAA.
  20. Known issue, look elsewhere for the threads. We've been informed it is mostly fixed internally, hopefully fixed at next update...
  21. INS Bombing still releases MK82 on trigger, instead of automatically.
  22. SA-11 launches still cause the same lag.
  23. Did you fire at the correct group, the northern one? The others may shoot the missiles down.
  24. Radar altimeter On, TAS / RS On, Aim accurately, follow director, hold in trigger. I always drop from a ~15 degree dive. Try to keep 1G at drop time. Releasing from lower is obviously better, the aiming is the hardest part.
  25. To do the calculation correctly, the distance should be calculated referencing ground speed and the drag calculations should reference airspeed (IAS is probably close enough)
