  2. I think Blue Flag runs a lot of scripts that pushes the limits of what you can do with 2 threads. If DL is added, something else must go.
  3. I've stopped caring about how it looks, I just want it to run at 45 in VR and in MP it doesn't. Vulcan where are you!?
  4. We've been sling loading a lot on DDCS with the Huey and you can definitely keep it inside safe EGT limits but you do need to watch that gauge and be careful. You can exceed it on takeoff but need to keep it within the limits the rest of the flight. Top speed is much less now though, expect around 90 knots IAS.
  5. The tf51 is free for all to use though, so that removes any excuses (besides being poor at flying) and it can land and take off in pretty hard spots, those jets may have trouble to do the same.
  6. The other planes have the same problem. Also flood lights are weak, as well as taxi/landing lights.

  8. This happened before. Set your MSAA and restart the game then it should show up.
  9. It used to warm up with the throttle all the way back, engine running. Now you need 50% rpm or more.
  10. surely the radar should warm up if it has power, either from ground power or from the engine, so ground idle (<50%) should be enough. I could never get it to warm up with ground power alone. Timer always restarted when I start the engine.
  11. We've all noticed on MP the radar warmup is strange now. Here's how I've always done it: 1. Start engine (battery, fuel pumps, etc). # go to rearm menu and choose loadout 2. Once engine is running put radar switch on first notch. 3. Switch on the rest of the stuff (HUD, RWR, CMS, NWS, INS etc) 4. Autopilot tests We used to get the radar available after about 3 minutes I'm guessing, now it seems to start the warmup once in the air or after some other event has fired. I've let my aircraft sit on the ground for many minutes, idling and ready to go, and went to get a drink etc and when I came back it wasn't ready yet. I agree something has changed.

  13. Its workable, however, many people, myself included, have one eye that is much worse than the other one. In my case the right eye (non-nvg) so everything is blurred on the right (for me). it would be better to just have the NVG circle a bit smaller so we can see underneath the illuminated part, for working in the cockpit.
  14. So far I'm missing gun sounds for: M2000, J11A and Mig-21 doesn't play gun sounds (internal or external). Mig-15, F5, A10C works fine internally. Didn't check external.
  15. I doubt that missile will be in Blue Flag, its a Fox 3 model after all...
  16. 10 miles IRL is very very far and you won't be able to ID a target that far away, unless it is huge. At that range in 2.5 now you CAN see targets, they show up as black dots. Probably easier to see if you run a potato screen (or VR).

  19. I'll check again. I don't usually break gear with other planes and I found it weird that I kept break gear on the plane with the really strong gear.
  20. Not sure. Ordinance gone, X-tank gone, internal fuel maybe 50% - 75%. I'll test again later and see what the weight is, but it's usually after a sortie on MP.
  21. I'm posting this in the bugs section but I'm not sure its a bug. However, the last while I've been breaking the Viggen's gear on landing just about every time. This wasn't the case before (2.5 I guess). Did something change? It feels like I have to be extra careful with the Viggen now whereas it has strengthened gear because it needs a robust landing approach for short landings.
  22. Mi8 autostart failed to start right engine for me too, in MP.
  23. Balance has been discusses to death. Some people want Blue to be far stronger (because IRL or something), some people want symmetric balance i.e. every plane / helo has a direct oppoonent on the other team; and some people advocate for asymmetric balance, like you're saying. I think this is the best we can do in DCS with the module set and the coming modules. It is also the way most Real Time Strategy games are balanced, each side has pros and cons and a different set of units but in general, each force as a whole, is balanced, all else being equal.
  24. Magnetic Declination is 11º in Las Vegas and you're probably using the magnetic heading to fly your radial. The F10 map shows true heading.
