  1. Cool! There is a place where a HOTAS for a flightsim is a common sight? Where is this place?
  2. +1 But as you can see, there are other things more urgent, right now.
  3. If you have linked the Joystick over a powered USB-Device, you have to switch this device off in order to shut down the lights. Even in standby, the ports are still powered with 5V. If you have connected them to your mainboard, make sure to disable functions like Wake-On-Keyboard or Wake-On-Mouse in your BIOS. For general control of the lighting TM has released a note on their support-site for the TMW. It states that the lighting will be adjustable in future TARGET-releases.
  4. Works nice for me as well. No problems here on Win7 64bit.
  5. +1  and don't ask for help here! j/k as well ;)
  6. Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! ...and... Happy Birthday! :)
  7. Considering the numerous posts and complains about the low FPS on better PCs both in the beta-forum and in the A-10C forum, it's pretty obvious: this can't be stated often enough. And while I'm at it: It's a beta. And there is a reason why it's referred to as "Beta01".
  8. Why did you ask for it in the OpenBeta Forum then?
  9. For the beta? Unlikely and not if you ask me personally. Why? Now we post important things in English, which we all can read - nobody does. So why create a forum for each language and triple the amount of important things nobody reads? ;) And we all share the same version, as there is no localized version. So we all have the same errors, bugs and problems. Why translate solutions into the different languages, when we all can benefit from posting them in English? There are already forums for French, Spanish and German discussions. Maybe an additional forum for Italian?

  11. You know when it's time to take a break from DCS A10-C when.. Your family and friends organized an intervention and you didn't even notice.
  12. I'm not so sure your conclusion will work out, either. Both joysticks dropped in price, because few people wanted to risk such a price for something they couldn't estimate: The G940 had very poor drivers for a long time and the ForceFeedback is that widely wanted. The X65F is force-sensing (Hello, Luke, sense my force?). As posted above, the Cougar did not fall in price nearly that quickly and neither did the X52 and X52pro. Edit: These German shops don't have the best reputation. However, I'll probably contact them or check their AGBs for price-changes on preorder-items. Edit2: AGB German shop MIX: The price is the current price when ordering or when confirming the order by the company. Whatever that means.
  13. When the Cougar was released, the initial price in Europe was about 350 Euros. Prices only varied a little over the next years, until the "light" version with the plastic buttons was released. So I doubt the HOTAS Warthog will become much cheaper so quickly. At least not before Christmas.
  14. Actually, that's quite a progress! 3 days ago, geizhals.at said searching for Warthog HOTAS could not retrieve any European results.
  15. Most of the reports I read were due to user-error. You can kill a T-55 easily with your gun if you get the right angle and make use of the PAC. I recommend this read: http://www.simhq.com/_air/air_053c.html You can't simply point you gun at something and pretend it will blow up on first hit. Also make sure you have the right ammo loaded ;) Mavericks lack the stabilization ATM, which is quite okay, since not all Mavericks have Ground Stabilize and you can very well aim without it, if you keep your plane stable. It's just a bit more realistic than with your LO/FC A-10A. CCIP works nice in 3/9 configuration. If you want to toss your bomb, that's a different story.
  16. There are a couple of loose ends, bugs and some optimization to be done. The sum of it might seem overwhelming, but ED's team has done an amazing job over the last weeks and months. If they say they want it released 2010, I'm sure they can do it. (Unless something unforeseen happens)
  17. Ich habe Dir mal eine PM geschrieben.
  18. Yes, I am German. You have to set DCS to a lower resolution, not the desktop ;) : If you have your monitor normally set up to 1024x768 and run the game windowed in 1024x768 or higher, it may snap to fullscreen, no matter if you activated it or not. But if you run DCS in a window SMALLER than the Desktop, you make sure you run DCS in a window.
  19. As I posted above, choose a lower resolution as your native monitor/desktop resolution (if possible) to repeat the test.
  20. When the loading screen appears, make sure you don't click anywhere else and shift the focus. If you do, the same happens as when you alt-tab out of the game: you won't be able to enter the simulation again. You'll just hear the sounds. To make sure this isn't happening, try running the game in windowed mode with a resolution less than your native resolution (If you have a 1280x1024 monitor, try 1024x768, for example)
  21. Prepurchase and test the beta, if you can't wait ;)
  22. Test it. If the bug is gone, you have to decide which you prefer flickering MFCD or running SLI. And you can also see for yourself, if the decision is all that difficiult (If SLI or not has any effect on FPS). Remember: It's a beta.
  23. It's a beta.
  24. No, it's not - maybe for the card, but definitely not for XP: http://downloads.guru3d.com/ATI-Catalyst-10.9-for-Windows-XP-%2832-bit%29-download-2621.html
