  1. Of course. Care to present your own ideas instead?
  2. This, most likely. And you'll get used to it too, because as it comes to ground handling, it doesn't really behave any different from either the Dora or the Mustang.
  3. Guys, I just thought of something. Since the modded LUA I posted mutes all speech, couldn't we just, say, catch the dialogue between the pilot and the ground crew as separate events, and then let those events trigger audioplay as needed? Would this work?
  4. Just now? The venerable Ilyushin IL-2 Sturmovik single-seater. And I'm not joking either, so more's the pity that we'll probably never see one (or its accompanying theatre) in DCS.
  5. Here neither. I did succeed in getting the sim to recognize a couple of modded soundfile directories per se, but that only resulted in all speech getting muted since it doesn't seem capable of handling straight WAV files anymore. I don't know, maybe I should try with OGG files next just to see if those are recognized... EDIT: Also see the config file attached, the paths are defined there. _index.lua
  6. Call me a heretic, but I'm using it as a ground attack platform because it really and truly excels in that role.
  7. Any luck with this? Because Germans talking in American English is one of my pet peeves in DCS WW2.
  8. ED committed to honour the backers, of which I am one. Great, am happy it turned out that way. Alas, no timetable, no schedule, no promises. So we're still waiting and you STILL don't have a leg to stand on.
  9. Yeah, I'm a backer, and my choice was the Jug. We should be getting it soon. Ilya dropped the ball, ED picked it up. They had no obligation to do so. Now, they progress the project at their leisure, since the whole thing wasn't their doing in the first place. Making your point? You don't have one.
  10. A single HOTAS throttle lever + buttons + buttons + buttons. The latter 3 with modifiers though, so it'll be like the same button set more or less.
  11. You were answered in length before. That you choose to ignore everything that runs counter to your personal crusade, is your problem and your problem only.
  12. IIRC it wasn't a real option. You see pics of 2 underwing rocket pods attached, but I think that was just a test that never went into production. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
  13. The Jug was my first and only backer's plane. So great we're finally getting there.
  14. Interesting. Gotta check this out. Thanks Dietrich.
  15. Hey, excreta happens. They hope the radial engine model will be ready by the time the Hog goes EA, as explained by Yo-Yo yesterday.
  16. Yeah, not usable for A-to-G. Can't hit crap with them.
  17. One is a mil chopper pilot, the other an ex-chopper instructor. And your quals were?
  18. Untrue. Even if a serious bug arises, there's no need to junk everything and start 100% anew.
  19. Yeah! Slick back your hair with Brylcreem, dial in some Little Richard on the wireless, open the throttle wide open and let that bad, bad baby GO. 2 FAST 4 YA! :D
  20. Go for the Sabre if you like vintage aviation. It's an awesome plane and a ton of fun even if you're just flying around, being the gas-guzzling 50's rock'n'roll monster hot rod that it is. That thing moves!
  21. OK, that explains some of the wireless weirdness I've recently encountered. But the channels are still on distinct frequencies in the ME, so I'm not sure if there's anything we can do, apart from waiting for a fix. Ideas for a workaround ladies and gents? Well one could always use channels 3 & 4 of course...
  22. Guys, there's an old flak script by 9L and others still available AFAIK. It still seems to work in v2.5.6 and thus comes in handy for folks wanting to get some pseudo-flak going. No link though, sorry.
  23. Congrats and thanks for the Turkish skin, C-TE-B. As I said, it'll come in handy for a late 40's mission I'm planning, where the Turks lend a hand to Iranians suppressing a bad case of insurgency near Shiraz. The Turks had A-3s IIRC, not 8s, but close enough for guvament work still IMO
  24. Yeah Dzery, the lady's got soul indeed. Mah Big Millie baby!
  25. So it's not just me and my settings? OK, good to know, just have to wait for a fix then. S!
