  1. With proper settings, it'll ALWAYS feel like a bus :D
  2. Yeah, true, if you're still moving forward and your sinkrate is within limits, there's no need to keep your eyes glued to it at all. Just an occasional glance for reference, that's all.
  3. Anyone noticed how the ground AI behaves much better now? Pathfinding seems to finally work and they avoid trees as well. Man, I like this patch after the hotfix & am extremely glad to see things MOVING again
  4. Well, I do it regardless just to make sure. A glance every now and then doesn't hurt.
  5. Advisable to glance at it every now and then regardless.
  6. See the round-cornered small square there? Grab its lower right corner and drag downwards and out.
  7. Back on topic though, I do agree in principle with folks who said that this board should be the first port of call when looking for DCS info. Easier said than done however, because everyone and their grampa's dog are on FB and other SoMe sites nowadays! Wouldn't touch 'em with a bargepole myself, but that doesn't change the fact one way or another...
  8. Eh... no. And remember that this site has been called an echo chamber as well. IMO neither are, although I vastly prefer this board since some folks over there are just absolute oiks I tend to blow my top with - and that only results in me getting warnings, not them :D
  9. Hey BC! Long time no see, welcome back :) Seems OK on my end. How about running DCS repair and see if that helps?
  10. Yeah, works now. Top job ladies and gents
  11. Likewise. Seems to strike a good balance between day and night.
  12. Ah, gotcha. Misunderstood. Didn't look for this because I thought the light source doesn't move with the rudder.
  13. Crashing for me as well, with the exact same error message Quid posted above.
  14. I totally don't and never will. Curves are a good solution if you trim properly, because reducing saturation will also reduce the stick's full control authority. Quoting myself from that other thread: So just trim the bugger. I've never had ANY problems whatsoever with muscle memory or anything, because I trim judiciously.
  15. Can't hit the ground at that speed. Too high for the humans and the machine too. Well unless you just drop the collective to the floor when you're really, really low, but then you won't have the time to hit those numbers before you're on the ground already.
  16. Works for me, i.e. the lightbulb moves with the rudder. Any mods installed perhaps that may break this?
  17. Yeah. This guy seems to have it sorted out: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4211612&postcount=255
  18. Well that explains it. Thanks for digging this up.
  19. Yeah, but it's not consistent. Doesn't seem to work at all with the Mustang, whereas with the Dora it does. You just have to throttle down as per their request.
  20. Depends. I do most of the time, albeit with a highly customized config. And this on an ancient i7-2600K computer too.
  21. 1) Ground power on -> OK 2) Start engine, ground power off -> NOK, complains about needing to idle engine 3) Idle engine -> NOK, still complains about needing to idle engine 4) Taxi off, grin and bear the "hey what're you doing" message Anyone else seeing this?
  22. So where to put them? Move them into <username>/Sounds and moddy no worky.
  23. Yeah, there's a Sounds.edc folder now. Files there seem encrypted and thus not moddable.
  24. If you can't retrofit an extension, then yes, curves. Curves work just fine for me, much better than a linear short throw JS would. And yes, I've tried both.
  25. Of course she's nervous as hell with our crappy short throw controllers. Use curves as needed and she'll calm down just fine.
