  1. You're welcome Vert. Glad to see us rudder troll camp residents validating our existence by finally being useful somehow ;)
  2. Either a grave exaggeration or you're just stirring the pot. Either way, you're not really convincing anyone of anything.
  3. Good thing I can take snide people such as yourself in my stride. Relax, it's just a sim.
  4. True, but I'm talking about "rudder pedals" all the time since I originally started my simming in fixed-wing AC. But the tip above works regardless, at least for me.
  5. Don't we all? The thing is, you either provide quantifiable evidence or wait in vain. And this is so regadless of whether you're right or wrong. BTW, did you notice that ED has admitted there're some inaccuracies in their weapon modelling?
  6. Dun dun. PVT is for talking to all chopper stations that also have PVT selected. INT permits INT or selected radio to transmit and receive. #1 = FM transmitter #2 = UHF transmitter #3 = VHF transmitter #4 = FM 2 / HF transmitter
  7. I'm going go with a single throttle lever and 2 modifier buttons for the engines, L and R respectively. Should work well enough.
  8. Hiya guys - I didn't invent this, but stumbled upon it somewhere. But the improvement, at least for me, was so profound that I thought I'd repeat it here lest it gets lost in the mists of Internet. If you're finding your Huey twitchy and/or oscillating along its longitudinal axis even after applying JS curves and/or reducing saturation, try to increase your rudder sensitivity next. I set mine to -20 and the difference is like night and day, the chopper is rock solid now and doesn't gyrate along the roll axis anymore. Try it if everything else fails, since coordinated flying is much easier if the rudder is more responsive I've found! Thanks all and report back ;)
  9. Yeah, I remember now, I actually saw those docs then. Well this certainly is an omission from ED's part.
  10. Sorry if I'm an ignoramus, but did all FWs and Biffers have these tabs?
  11. If you fly Red, you'll get Russian. If you fly Blue, you'll get English. Well the last time I checked anyway.
  12. Really? Never heard of them. Thanks for the info, gotta check'em out. S!
  13. Well TBH, I'd like to see the sources they would base their modelling on, since original flying examples of these magnificent machines are all but nonexistent these days. But yeah, I'd buy them all on day one if they were realistic and well modelled 8)
  14. This glitch / bug has been there at least for as long as the v2.5x branch has been in existence.
  15. Different designs.
  16. For me it isn't, because tastes differ. But you're entitled to your opinion regardless, of course.
  17. So this is not a bug, but most likely OP not warming up the engine properly before takeoff. Or that's my take on it at least.
  18. What exactly do you think you'll gain by opening two threads about the same thing?
  19. OK, I just didn't notice. Nope, not the greatest fighter in the world, unless you like nerfed planes lacking turbochargers :D But I'd still buy a fully-modelled one for ground attack...
  20. You guys missed the part where 9L said "the guns are coded based on what information they have, and that it's accurate to that". So why not provide some verifiable and quantifiable data they can base the changes on instead of complaining?
  21. Hyvä pointti / a good point. But then, the competition would look for a better markup anyway, and flight sims just don't provide that, so no competition. Sad, but true.
  22. I've only flown the D so far since I'm waiting for the A to mature, but I'll probably fly them both the same way in the future, i.e. engine down to 1500 RPM, nose up, bleed speed off, continue raising the nose until you stall just a foot or so above the runway, and do a natural 3-point touchdown. Works like a clockwork.
  23. You said that, we did not. Folks mentioning the Airacobra, including me, like it for various reasons, but I didn't notice anyone calling it the "best" of anything.
  24. I'd use it for ground attack myself. IIRC the Russians did and found the plane well suited for that role too. The 37mm gun would be just the thing for convoy attack.
  25. Yeah, would buy an Airacobra straight away as well. Probably wasn't the best of WW2 fighters, but the Russians did well with it regardless. Their fights were at low altitude and the lacking turbocharger didn't matter that much.
