yeah, i need better clips... i think mine is better than default in cockpit by far though! Of course I've come to realize that my sound system is not high end, and the mod may sound different on my comp than everybody else's!!

Thanks....I'm actually working on this again in my free time, to try to improve it even more....What I really need is quality audio of a Ka50 flying and hovering. I find my audio clip a little 'tinny'!

So much of that article reminds me of what ED is going through now to bring their product to us... I used to think that ED's efforts to make this series fly (forgive the pun) was akin to juggling chainsaws while reciting poetry on a unicycle..... Now I know that it is just like that, but they are also playing chopsticks on the piano while juggling, singing, and balancing on the unicycle. Oh, and when is DCS:A10 coming?... When it is F@^#$@&& done!!!

I need more cable because: 1. I mated my X52 with my MSFFB2, and that took up about 6" of cable, and 2. I need to be able to put my HOTAS aside for the wife/kid/company or whenever I need two chairs at the computer. Thanks for the reply's fella's!!

Does anybody have any idea where i can get an extension for the cable between the x52 and its throttle?? its a 6pin, round connector(like an S-video cable) If I cant extend, does anyone know where i can order ribbon cable to build my own longer cable? any ideas where I can get that kind of materiels?!

I programmed a macro with 'CNTL-F11' and immediately after 'NumPad-.' (decimal) so that my 'drop cam' will imediately lock onto whatever vehicle i've been viewing. 'Alt-F2' is also a handy view.... personally, I have a X52 setup just for camera viewing!!

If i was gonna drop that kinda loose change, I would just get my pilots licence and save myself the hassle of shipping to NorthAmerica!! Very nice simpit Ryan has done though, I will give him big credit for that! Wouldn't you love to get your hands on the 'trim' version?

New Rotor Sound Here is my Improved Rotor Mod 2.0! Much improved from my previous efforts... The deeper sound is a modified version of the original, but much more bass added. The 'rotor slap' sound is from a video clip of a real Ka50, and it has been altered to beat at the same frequency of the original so that there is no distortion of sound. No, it is not default with Vista64, it is freeware i believe... There are a couple files i've edited with notepad, this being one of them, but for the majority i use N++

Just tried the demo: the GOOD; Looks pretty. (maybe your alone this valentine's?!) Aircraft: check! Missiles and bombs: check! Whooshing sounds, with big bang bangs: check! Will not cause lung cancer... the Bad: This game is on the arcade side of arcadey... could be a plus if your 12 yrs old, live with your parents, or have a whoosh-whoosh-bang-bang-boner. you cannot use your instruments...re: look at them no black/red out. no indication you are pulling g's.... stuttering FPS... could be my 360.... graphics are actually terrible, IMHO.

A very similar problem happened to me, but it was assigning a keypress to the modes, 1...2...3.. I was lucky enough to have a backup save of the profile, and only had to redo a couple of commands. My opinion of the SST software has not changed tho....I use it; I just dont trust it! Have you deleted the advanced command, and if so, how? I heard that to completely get rid of the advanced command you have to right-click on the box, left-click on 'do nothing', and then 'delete all unused commands'.... Hope this helps!

Here's my interpretation of Autorotation: 1st- Your rotor cone IS A WING. The movement of air over the rotor cone is what generates lift. 2nd- The purpose of lowering collective is to reduce pitch, which in effect reduces drag on the rotor, and thus maintains precious RPM. You use forward cyclic to glide to your landing spot, also conserving the use of antitorque/rudder pedals...as they will also degrade your stored energy. 3rd- When you are close to landing position, you slow and cushion your landing by using aft cyclic and raising collective to make use of your stored rotor RPM... Unless a major catastrophe occurs, your rotor will not reverse its direction....ever.

I finally found a MSFFB2, and got it reasonably priced at $15 CDN!! Now to mate my X52.... Or should I use a TM or CH?? Any thoughts or insight from anyone?!
