MOOSE for RAT (random air traffic) to fill the void in capability to do the same directly with the ME.

I agree with other sentiments - this is a good explanation and would have helped at the start with the confusion over what we have and why it has some inconsistencies with other public sources.

100% incorrect. And here's the link for that thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3312683&postcount=1 I recommend you take your own advice. I fully support this to begin with. Refer to my recommendation above.

So the team is supposed to be modeling a 2005 (or whatever year) USN/USMC Hornet but a TPOD using Spanish Hornet symbology is "correct per available docs"? I get that this was a stopgap, but claiming something is correct without clarifying that it's correct to something that isn't even supposed to be in the scope of the project is disingenuous.

On behalf of the Virtual 57th Wing, I am pleased to announce the DCS F-16C Viper TOLD Calculator! This excel workbook will allow you to calculate the Takeoff and Landing Data (TOLD) for the DCS F-16C Viper for all conditions in which it is certified to operate in the real world. All calculations are based on data collected from T.O. GR1F-16CJ-1-1 and data from DCS World. Given the latter, updates may alter the Viper performance and I will do my best to maintain this calculator. From the image above, you can see that the tool calculates the following information using various required user inputs (with sample output data shown for a typical departure from Nellis AFB): Refusal Speed Rotation Speed Liftoff Speed (sometimes also referred to as flyaway speed) Takeoff Distance Runway Remaining Approach Speed Landing Speed The calculator is fairly self-explanatory, but instructions and useful notes are included. Built-in error checking functionality is also included to prevent the user from inputting values for which solutions cannot be calculated. The link to the download can be found below: DOWNLOAD! Known Issues At extreme combined operating conditions (i.e. extremely high runway elevation, extremely high temperature, and extremely high wind speed) TOLD values lose accuracy. The TOLD calculator may display poorly at some resolutions and aspect ratios. If you find any additional bugs or have any questions please post them in this thread and I will do my best to address them. Happy takeoffs and landings!

Does anyone know where the RGB values for "MFD_SetColor_Group_X" are defined for the F-16? I spent quite a few hours going through the luas and couldn't find where or how those are defined. Cheers!

Almost the end of January 2020, and we still have to mod our files to have a Huey that doesn't look like it was put together in a junkyard with Vietnam era scraps.

Those of us at the 179th vFS are really sincerely appreciative of your amazing work, PorcoRosso! Your livery work is absolutely unparalleled!

Hell yea, fantastic work dude! I'll definitely be checking this out tonight after work. -
An option to place aircraft that human pilots can occupy, but are otherwise AI if no players join that particular aircraft.

My saved games folder is called "DCS.stable" and results in a traceback error since it's looking for "DCS" instead :( -
This looks absolutely amazing!

Was this ever re-uploaded?

I think it's very unlikely that we'll get stuck with monochrome MFDs. -

My livery wish list consists of all current USAF/ANG Block 50 operators. A 179th FS HG5 bird would be very welcome as well. -

I'm not expecting JSOW, JASSM, SDB, or LJDAM. If we get them it'll be a pleasant surprise, and if we don't I won't be sad about it. :) -

For your first question - yes they can be removed, and they often are. The Viper community seems to take stuff off the airplane a lot more than other fighter communities, although that's purely anecdotal. Second question - I believe it's still possible to load them but to my knowledge it's not a configuration used by the USAF. -

I'm sure we'll get plenty of skins for the Viper, to include aggressors and schemes from other nations. -

This times 1000. I want an airplane that actually exists/has existed, not a Franken-Viper. A lot of ANG Block 30's have the new center screen. The 179th might have them as the only ANG squadron flying Block 50s, but I'm not aware of any other USAF Block 50 that has it. In any case, I seriously doubt we'll see that in DCS. With as much as I've shit on early access in the past, I have to agree. It's not perfect, but they are doing a good job. -

I think the F-18C is a bit different though as they modeled the final production lot of the aircraft. Can't really do that with the Viper. But you're right, I simply assumed they would do an aircraft with an MMC. I'd be very disappointed if they did an older aircraft with the XFCC/XCIU.
