Though the Su-15 would be nice too! And of course the MiG-25/31... That is if you can get sufficient documentation on them without running into classification issues... :D But somewhat historically accurately I'l stay fighting modern jets in the MiG-21bis for now. :) After all the bis stands for Bias Induced Super performance tovarish!)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Yeah... There is only the M-2000c... But it still doesn't have a proper opponent. :( I don't think that that would be considered a BVR situation... More of a limited visibility one... But yeah, good point! :D

Yup... Now that is what we really need! >:[ Seriously there are NO full fidelity Russian BVR aircraft in the game! :( Though the RAZBAM MiG-23 got denied for unspecified reasons... We might still have hope that it means it is in development secretly by someone else (let the tinfoil hat land on my head!)! :D You could in the mean time develop an Su-15 or MiG-25... But I think the Su-15 would be less classified. :)

Also... At the time this was being developed, surface to air guided missile technology was advancing quickly... So they figured that exactly the same could be done with those for less risk and more practicality. :) Though that way of launch would be cool of course! But... I'l be fine without getting it, after all it was a canceled program... Russian space program for the win tho (really, imagine that with infinate fuel...)! :D

Thx for the info! :) I currently fly the MiG-21bis against modern fighters all of the time... And am not very effective. ;) But hey when you do get a kill, is feels good! Also I have found an interesting tactic where in MP you team up with a Flanker. You turn on your radar... The enemy fighters flock to your location for an easy kill... And the flanker shoots em' down with IRST! :D So I think taking the MiG-19p out against F-5's wouldn't be too much of a stretch for me... ;)

So as long as the MiG-19p is at least as good as the MiG-21bis in dogfights, i'm happy! :) Buuuuut... How's the RWR? As far as I know they already put early ones on the MiG-15's later variants, it had a growling tone based on the estimated range to the radar (heard in a documentary). So asking for it on the MiG-19p wouldn't be a huge stretch... But how's it like? Or does it even have one?

I am hoping for a Su-17/20/22 family aircraft myself, but the Su-7 is the closest thing given in the poll. :) But I think the perfect aircraft for the Russians to get would be a MiG-23 (I would like an A-A variant :D)... Could also go for the Su-15 for fighters. The RAZBAM MiG-23 was not given permission for... Hmmm... Does that mean someone else is developing it secretly :O. Time for the tinfoil hat to slide onto my head!

Hmmm... In my experience the MiG-21 is pretty good at close quarters fighting, at least a match for the M-2000c in MP ans SP. The trick is not stalling it... So providing you keep it at the edge without stalling, you can beat em'! :D Also sneaking with GCI is epic! They don't suspect a thing (if ur radar is off!)... >:]

You are gonna have to wait something 50 years for some of those (if there is no special contract)... Sadly current top military equipment is very much classified. :cry: But... Can't hide it, I want em' too! :D

Hmm... I wonder why they didn't carry that target indicator over to the MiG-21bis? Was it that they didn't think it was useful since they believed in missiles? When it comes to "why they didn't"s I wonder why didn't they implement the cursor pointing at radar lock for air targets, because they did have it for the ground locks... :huh: Oh well... Hindsight is 20/20. :D

I think that the currently planned MiG-19p is the perfect variant. It has a bit of everything, unlike some other variants. So if there isn't any sudden info shortages, or something that would inhibit the development of the aircraft. Please stick to this version! :D

So... What missiles will we be getting on the MiG-19p? K-13? Also... How is the radar gonna help in weapons employment? Can it be used for the gunsight, can it even lock a target? Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think there is currently no way of mapping the radar elevation on an axis. So I would like to see that included, also I don't know any way of mapping the next missile select button anywhere. Anyways love the Viggen, and hope for the best to you at Leatherneck! :D
