  1. Yes you can but then you'll know exactly where enemies and buddies are and this is not good.:music_whistling: We (on blue) usually use markers on the map only to report active AOs but they're not permanent and also anybody can delete 'em
  2. Remember that in DCS you don't have peripheral vision, where you can see things moving "faster" (because you can't focus on them if they are more than ~60° out from where you are watching and they appear also blurred a bit). That means A LOT for our brain to have speed sensation.
  3. Dear Admins, For your incolumity, try to not change the map for at least 6 month, because I don't want to do that more than twice a year :megalol:
  4. Bignewy, why ED isn't releasing a fix? They're saying that they've fixed some bugs like the night lighting, so why don't they release a fix? What are they waiting? Do they want to release the updates only for the 2.5 release version?
  5. Yeah I like the GCI role too, also an AWACS might be useful, because ATM, as far as I can see, enemy planes are spotted on the map only when a fighter detects him with the radar. That means if you don't have fighters, GCI is useless and can't provide SA reports. But to deploy an AWACS, I think it needs to be scripted and moved around the map depending on the status of advancing of a coalition on the ground.
  6. You can always check top-right corner in the map: it tells you what time it's in game :)
  7. It's working for me atm
  8. Yes it stopped working yesterday about @1930Z
  9. EEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCC XD:lol:
  10. Guys, you have to see the glass half full!! There is someone near the ED's office who is becoming rich by selling coffee cups to the devs!
  11. First things first: I am not a specialist but I think I have a nice rig and I can help you. 1) If I am not wrong the whole DCS with all the modules and maps should take around 100Gb, so you should be ok if you install on it only OS and DCS, but I suggest you installing other programs on your HDD.:joystick: 2) I've bought an SSD only to play DCS normally, so I REALLY don't think installing it on an HHD is a good compromise. I can say this especially because DCS is a simulator with a LOT of things to load, even after you join the server so there is a lot of Data reading from your hard drive, for example when loading textures in you VRAM ecc... So this can cause you to have a bottleneck and an huge FPS loss. Imagine only a GPU that needs to wait an HHD to read the textures and to be loaded on its RAM: if it doesn't happen quickly your GPU can't render a scene. Last but not least, I think you are going to wait AGES before entering a multiplayer server.
  12. gadget page showing: 500 internal server error.
  13. BTW ora vedo che ci sei nel BF! Hai cambiato qualcosa in particolare o è tutto casual?:smilewink:
  14. Really hope so to happen this wednesday :joystick:
  15. Well, SRS key bindings are not linked in any way to the bindings you have in the game. So if you don't want to change every time the SRS's bindings when you switch airframes, I think the only thing you can do is to reserve a button/hatswitch to SRS and not bind it to any function in any module.
  16. Meanwhile, if u wanna play a bit with your rig and check everything is ok from your network check this. https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/187995-network-pc-cannot-access-1-specific-server
  17. Well, that's what I hoped for... this means it's not your DCS client that doesn't receive the server, but it's totally your computer that's "blind" to BS server... at this point I've reached my objective and I am sorry but I don't know how to help u buddy:huh::cry: try to ask to the admins or someone else... I've never experienced this
  18. Firewall? Anti-virus? Can you ping the server from CMD?
  19. Same here
  20. That's strange because I can see it
  21. I noticed this bug today in MP. I hadn't the time to check in SP or in other servers, so can you guys confirm the bug pls? Bug: you now that when an aircraft is far away in the sky and you spot it with a blurred, grey square that the engine places in his 3d position even if the aircraft is really too small to be rendered? Well, today I was taxiing at senaki and an f15 was taxiing too but there was an hangar between me and him, but I was able to see the "dot" reporting he was there. Same thing when airborne, I was able to see the dots of the aircrafts on the ground passing through my wings. Didn't check if it happens with airborne airframe. So I think that the bug is that these "dots" (I am sorry but I don't know how to really call them) are not masked by the solids.
  22. It think that the south-eastern part of Italy should be added because there are both military and civil airfields. Also, during the Kosovo war, with the operation "Allied force" most of the aircrafts of the NATO coalition took off from the airfields located in Puglia (mostly Amendola AFB). There were also a cell of the 9° Stormo deployed there with the F104s that provided air policing over the Kosovo while the allied f15 and 16 were RTBing.
