  1. Didn't notice that. I flew some SP in the mirage, landing at Batumi and the ILS was fine 2 white 2 red and no "angle-off" between my heading and the rwy one
  2. Yeah it's because of the new lighting system with the deferred shading. All the lights have been tweaked down, not only the ones of the aircrafts, but also the airports and cities ones. We are all waiting for a fix from the devs

  6. I don't have a gaming monitor, instead I have a Samsung TV/monitor with HDMI port. The default setting for me is contrast 100% and luminosity to 50% and I am not gonna change that because it is fine like that not because of DCS, but because I checked it the with the monitor calibration tool of Windows. In fact, I don't have problems with the other games. The only thing I did is resetting metashaders and fxo, and it became better, but I think the map is still too bright around midday (the cockpit is almost fine, maybe a little bit brighter would be the best). DCS gamma to 1.8
  7. Guys I think that now we have to wait till 2.5RV get released. I am also not logging in so much atm because of the bugs... About the mirage, let's see if it's fine like this, or if we don't get enough players to the red side. If it goes wrong, we can put it in both coalition (with very different skins at least) till f18 comes out... For the rest of the separations for me is +10000

  9. Ok... So I have already done a game research. In the Caucasus map there are only 6 airfields that have taxi and rwy signs on the ground. They are: Batumi, Senaki, sukhumi,beslan, tblisi and Vaziani. I have modified the charts of these 6 airfields to have the letters of the taxiways right. For the other airfields it isn't worth modifying the charts because you don't know the real letters. If you want the 6 modified charts just ask :)
  10. Well, The videos are not in high res so you shouldn't have that kind of problems because we are speaking about very slim lines that lose sheen near the borders so if the videos are not recorded at least at 1080p you can't notice the differences
  11. No my question was directed to Devrim, because he can't see the differences when he records. Dynamic range is an option (that should be enabled every time if you new gen monitor, with HDMI or DP). AFAIK it should set your images to have millions of colors by setting the BPC (bits per color) to 16 or 32 (idk exactly). I know that an anologic port (like the VGA one) can receive only 8 bpc images (Idk if I am wrong). My thought is that DCS uses more than 8bpc (like every game) but shadowplay can record only in that scale so it loses a lot of color shades. Maybe if he can't see the difference is because his image is set to use 8bpc codec and so he doesn't see the difference, but honestly man, IDK, even because I don't think shadowplay records at only 8bpc... just guessing. The first thing I can do is to test it when I get home.:smilewink:

  13. Do you see the difference between the 2 graphics in the pic above? It's like a lighter green (that's why I thought it was a bpc problem) than the normal graphic. I have the same effect on the radar of the f15 or the radar of the mirage for example. Do you have Dynamic Range turned on in the NVIDIA video panel?
  14. +1 Though I haven't checked if it does the same in other occasions or only in DCS. If it isn't a DCS problem, I can guess that it's because maybe Shadowplay records videos at low BPC (maybe 8bpc) but I am not sure of this. I shall do more researches:cry:

  16. I tried to test the memory leak in DCS (singleplayer). Idk if it can help finding the problem :thumbup: Here is what I found: RAM USAGE REPORTED FROM THE DCS BUILT-IN FPS counter ETC... (Ctrl+pause) It should contain both the real RAM usage and the paging files usage -Main page (default): 1.6 Gb -Inside the mission editor (no units at all, first join): more or less 6 Gb Here is the tricky part::music_whistling: I begin looking at the map with different zooms and moving trying to "save" every corner of the map; -Ram usage after that procedure: 8Gb Then I fly my empy mission, hopping from an airfield to another one -Ram usage: 10 to 12 Gb So I quit the mission, and memory usage stays the same in the main page. After a restart of the client it returns to 1.6Gb. RAM USAGE REPORTED BY WIN TASK MANAGER (only the DCS.exe process) -Main page (default): 0.8Gb -Inside the mission editor (no units at all, first join): 2.6 Gb -After the "save" of the map: 3.6 Gb -After moving the camera a bit in the empty mission: 5.4Gb -When leaving the mission editor and going back to main page: 5.1Gb -After client restart: 0.8Gb I have 16Gb of ram DDR4 and 22Gb of paging.   17. I think ED is aware of this (90% sure). It's a memory leak. Hope they are gonna fix this soon.

  19. Try deleting the metashader folder from the Saved games folder

  21. I have your same card, turned on vsync at 60FPS and I still have it at 100%, but I think this is normal because I am running everything at max setting. But it's not a problem for me because that means that CPU isn't acting as bottleneck (like in other games):joystick:

  24. Are you on the stand-alone version or the steam one?
  25. This is with DS on... there is only one problem here: the lights... Outside it's too bright while inside the cockpit you can barely see the instruments. This is with gamma 1.6
