  1. So why are the MP AI gunners still shooting (wasting ammo) on targets they can not damage?
  2. Need another Antenna POT, anyone know where i can find? Thanks
  3. Interesting! When I installed the temp power supply for testing, I intentionally intended to only use the power cabling that came as part of the temp PSU. The only issue I ran into was that I had to use the (3) existing PCI-E / CPU cables that were already in place due to the cable management system. One of course was feeding power to the SSD & DVD player. I never knew that could be an issue. I presumed the pinouts were all standard on both sides. Thanks for the feedback, and sorry about the unintentional hijacking of the thread all. Extremely helpful though, I will never make that mistake again!
  4. On most any other day, I would agree with you sir. Unfortunately, I am not able to determine the culprit. I am not intending on hijacking this thread and turning this into a troubleshooting discussion, just explaining my situation. Symptom was: PC would run fine for awile flying DCS, and just randomly shut down, and turn back on. NOT a full reboot, just everything shut down, then right back to desktop, DCS no longer running along with anything else I had running, like Discord. I suspected Seasonic PSU so I sent it back, the report indicated faulty PSU, so they sent me another refurbished PSU. Plugged that in, ran DCS, 2 hours later, same thing. Ran Temp monitoring application for a long time, no apparent overheating anywhere. Pulled an old spare PSU off my shelf, plugged it in,PC would not power up, Motherboard lights would cycle on for a second and shut down. Tried that quire a few times while checking for good connections, nothing worked. Plugged Seasonic PSU back in,, Motherboard lights up fine, but PC wont boot because SSD wount show up to boot up to. Found SSD is now bricked and can not be seen on any PC I plug it into. So whats the issue? Who knows? With that being said, I suspect the only salvageable parts would be Tower, Fans, probably the GPU, but its time to upgrade I think (tried to use it for VR, but it was crap). I dont know if the CPU has been damaged in any way due to potential voltage spikes? Ram is likely still good. Thats about it. So now Im trying to figure out the most expensive parts, and that is, what do I really want for GPU and CPU without pissing money away. I have been reading thru the forums for days, and I do see that BitMaster has some very valuable advise for others with different concerns. Many thanks for that, i am trying to pick out what applies to my situation. Even considering buying a PC Rig thats already built if I can afford it. Many thanks all.
  5. Subscribed: PC died, might try to get a new build in by the end of this year,, need to re-educate myself on latest hardware so I dont blow big $$$,,, wife is already growling,,,,

  7. I would highly recommend going on youtube and watching then practicing all the tutorials you can find. This wont happen overnight, you have to put time and effort in. Once you get comfortable enough, you will do alot better when you join others online
  8. Search for Helios profiles for the KA-50, embedded within the file are readme instructions that explain how to export. You dont need to use of the Helios files themselves, you are only interested in exporting to another monitor
  9. So basically it seems that I either have to find a MP server that is dedicated to Helo ops (Haven't had any luck finding one of those), or get lucky on a MP server that has CAP over TA when I log in,,,,
  10. Can I at least get a Huey with Vikhrs and a Shkval to hold me over for the next 6 years?

  12. I actually did check their website a few days ago. Per what I read on their site, they use most dcs modules like most. Their current maps in rotation appear to be focused on troop transport, Joachim setup etc. I will have to hop in their server and see what happens with ka50 action. Thanks for the tip sir.
  13. To clarify, what I mean is still a Red & Blue side with AI targets, but you can choose which side to fly on and potentially encounter other non AI helicopters in the process of targeting enemy AI ground targets. The usual gameplay without the sophisticated fighter jets kinda thing.
  14. 104th has a GCI often, and Im always on Coms. Problem is, the GCI is usually only on Blue side, KA-50 is only available on Red, but yeah, I get your point. Good luck to me finding a server that accommodates that most of the time. I think it is more likely to find a server that is geared more for helo operations instead. Not to mention often I jump on the server during off peak hours in addition to peak.
  15. I am tired of getting missiles up my butt 20 minutes into a flight with the KA-50. Looking for good, mature dedicated helo servers that accommodate PvP without dedicated flight times on dedicated days. I have been searching the forums, but most discussions are years old and likely obsolete. Thanks in advance.
  16. Thanks for the tip on the Helo server. As I see it now, Im probably going to have to walk away from servers like the 104th, I love playing there, but I stand no chance in surviving under those conditions. Since most players are on blue side, I would stand a chance I suppose if the blue side had a worthy attach helicopter. I just spent just over an hour searching for PvP servers for Helos, most posts are years old. I will have to solicit else ware for updated server info. Almost a needle in a haystack
  17. My thoughts exactly! I have NOT been able to do much on Multiplayer in quite awhile. The only chances I ever had is when I had CAP available over the TA. Most guys are flying fighters over Bullseyes just to tangle with the enemy. I was so excited to hear of the KA-50 Upgrades, but it is all kind of pointless to me now. Nothing like going thru startup and a 20minute + flight to get wacked in the butt with a missile. I am indeed frustrated.
  18. I fly multiplayer on the 104th. I typically take off to go find an enemy airbase or FARP and attempt to sneak up, setup, and pick away at air defenses. Problem is, 9 out of 10 times I take a half hour flight or so and wind up getting picked off by a Hornet or Tomcat before I make it to my sniper spot. I never see it coming! I have read that you should stay below 80 mph so you don’t get picked up on any kind of radar, then folks have said it doesn’t matter because the rotor blades are moving faster then that,,,,,,,,,, then I heard to stay low, less than 30feet etc. Whats the real deal? Does it matter? Can you avoid detection of AWACS etc?
  19. Im not on any social media, So I have no idea whats up with the server? Can anyone advise? Thanks
  20. Yes, I have updated. Are you suggesting that you are finding and connecting to server?
  21. Its been out since sometime yesterday, dont know why? I did not see any posts on the 104th forums either?
  22. Can anybody reconfigure this mod so it only takes care of the text on the left side of screen only?
  23. This sux! ED only allowed size adjustment for the menu text on the right, the left side chat is still the same size. What the freak!
