  1. Well for the Mig 21 the variants differ to a pretty big degree. For AJS Viggen compared to the recon variants the differences are very small.
  2. I want this so badly and i would be willing to pay for it !
  3. Did you guys think about creating the Photo Recon SF37 or the Naval Recon SH37 Viggens ? They are very similar aircraft to the AJS and especially the Photo bird would probably be very fun to fly. Even the SK37 Viggen would be interesting in one way, I'm not sure there is an aircraft where one pilot could take up another and hands on teach them how to fly.
  4. You forgot to turn this thing on in this video and the previous one !
  5. The Viggen can't use the full functionality of the DWS-39 probably due to a lack of computer power and supporting avionics.
  6. Of course the bombs forgot to drop they're Retarded ! :D
  7. HE HE you should have bombed a power Generator. Then you could have said "Distance to Power Generators ...." at the Pop Up Point :D
  8. The bombs stop dropping if you let go of the trigger so it's not like the rockets you'll just have to guesstimate how many bombs will drop if you try to drop a few :D
  9. I just read the manual and as i understood it it was between each bomb. When you drop bombs the calculated aim point is where the two center bombs will impact bombs 4 & 5 if 8 bombs are carried or 8 & 9 if 16 bombs are carried.
  10. Well the bombs drop in a predetermined order from the aircraft. In the manual there's a selector on page 98 no: 9 called "Weapons Sight mode selector" on that you select the distance you want between the bombs in meters. It's goes from 10m to 30m in 5 m intervals and then to 60 in 10m intervals.
  11. Sweden designed its own warhead for the hellfire as well :) The missile is a light anti ship missile in Sweden
  12. Here's an image of a dummy round you can clearly see the rail and the protective covering for the rocket motor and flare. The Missile was required to be liquid fueled because that was the only way to get a smoke free rocket engine. This was thought to be needed because of the manual guidance. 13. Nothing about that is correct. The mavericks where delibered in 1978 the warhead is much bigger than 9kg it's 57kg HEAT warhead or a 136kg mine warhead.
  14. Page 318 Spelling error. It say that if you want to fire a second maverick you can press the next missile button "IR-IR FRAMSTEGNING" This must be misspelled and should instead say "IR-RB FRAMSTEGN" That's the only place "FRAMSTEGNING" is used in the manual but as a Swede it makes more sense as a word so it was probably a Swede who misspelled it.
  15. Guessing that was an RB75T considering the ship sunk !
  16. Well the Older Rb04E didn't even need a radar to be launched. You just launched on heading, so in essence any aircraft could have carried it.
  17. Still a better turn fighter
  18. Hair start growing on your other palm if you do that :D
  19. Upgrading superfluous Draken aircraft was also studied. An AJ 35 Draken version was studied and it would have been able to carry the RBS15 anti ship missile as well as U22 & KB pods and sidewinders. The aircraft would have been modified to a load carrying capability similar to the Danish F35's and would also have gotten canards and new outer wings.
  20. The modifications started in 1991 on the AJ version after that was finished around 1994 the project started modifying the recon variants. Keep in mind that although the F16 got it's MLU update in 1997 that was the same year the JAS 39 Gripen entered service which was much more capable. Also the AJS is an attack aircraft while the F16 is a multi role aircraft that's 10 years younger. If anything the JA37D and Di modification of the Viggen Fighter variant Matches up better with the MLU.
  21. Sweden was never interested in Laser Guided Bombs for national defense because the air force expected the enemy would have air superiority. Under those conditions you can't send an aircraft to altitude to provide laser targeting.
  22. Found this wide that had interesting weapons test footage in it from about the middle ! It mainly covers all kind of testing by SAAB
  23. Page: 323 Third Paragraph "Upon release, the missile will descend to 10 meters altitude and will fly towards straight ahead" "fly towards straight ahead" don't feel right shouldn't it be "fly straight ahead" ?
  24. The Viggen is still missing the RB-75T with the heavy warhead.
