  1. I think the F-16 shows the same, but that was on monday before the last two updates, so...
  2. I'm surprised so many likes the feeling of the Hornet better then the Viper, I'm the other way around. I get a much better feel of what is happening in the Viper, and it acts more like I expect it to do, better feedback from engine as well. So, for the flying itself I definitely prefer the Viper. But when it comes to weapons the Hornet have the upper hand with the exception that it lacks the CBU-97 (that is awesome!), at least so far. Once the Falcon gets the HARM and JDAM I will probably not fly the Hornet as much (now I fly them approx 50/50).
  3. What is the current convergence (if any) in DCS WW2 planes? It is one of the things I miss the most from Cliffs of Dover, being able to set it to something that actually works for me. I don't want it to be something done on the fly, but rather a setting that you do in the specials page for the plane. Maybe with a possibility for server or mission builder to override the setting with the standard setting, but if that's the case I hope it's not overused.
  4. Yes, FFVS J-22 is the one I'm interested it. "World's fastest in relation to the engine power." And it's so damn cute. :P I must admit I had never heard of the Soko J-22.
  5. I don't have any high hopes, but a JA-37 would be a day one buy for me. I would also buy a Draken, or to be honest, almost any SAAB (or other Swedish military plane for that matter, anyone wanna make a J-22?) plane made by Heathblur. :D
  6. Yes, like in Cliffs (where you can decide how your belts should be loaded), that would be best, but even a general setup would be a big improvement over how it is now (is there any convergence at all in for example the Spit?).
  7. I really hope we get the possibility to set the convergence in the planes in future updates. That is really one of the things I really miss from Cliffs of Dover.
  8. I wish I had recorded my landing last night after I ran out of fuel some 30 miles away from base. Luckily I was high enough that I could glide all the way back to base without engine and land safely (though not at all elegant) on the runway, ran out of battery (no power to HUD or NWS) just as I was coming to a stop, or actually, maybe it was the backup power that stopped working as there was no more airflow to power it? When I ran out of fuel I was sure I was too far away from base to make it, almost punched out, but decided to try to land anyway(what's the worst that can happen?).
  9. I think I have only run into this after having fired Rb-15's, not sure if it's only been at 60km range, I need to test that next time I run into it. My fix so far have been turning off my radar completely, but that can be a problem when it happens while I'm trying to land.
  10. I had to remove ice from my car windows this morning (just under 0°C), and the birch leaves are starting to turn yellow. Plus the meteorological definition. My (new) guess is October 4 as a late birthday present for me. :megalol:
  11. Here in northern Sweden we have already had early autumn for a couple of weeks now. Just saying. :music_whistling: Anyway, I'm happy if we get the Viper before we get snow here (ETA november).
  12. Yesterday I was hosting an online mission and near the end of the session I was flying the Viggen. I had made a take off from one base attacking ships with RB-15's, returned to (original) base and rearmed with bombs, flew and attacked planes parked on an enemy base and instead of returning to the original base I decided to go to a closer friendly base. Up to this everything had worked perfectly, I had used both Sjö and Land radar settings at different distances with no problem. I had radar on, distance 40km, when I started my landing, but right as I was about to touch down my fps started to drop. I still managed to get her down on the runway, but my framerate dropped to 1-2 fps. As I was pretty much stable rolling down the runway I managed to turn of radar, and my framerate instantly came back to normal. I did have similar problems to and from some patches ago, but it have worked just fine the last couple of weeks (if not more). I'm on latest beta btw. Just thought I'd report even though it's the first time it's happened to me in a long time. Did it have something to do with me not landing on the base i took off from, or was it a random bug that just happened to pop up?
  13. The Spit IX is most definitely right at home in Normandy in June 44, but unfortunately that is pretty much it when it comes to (flyable) planes. And like you say, it will most likely be years before that is fixed.
  14. 1st, make sure you use the electric fuel pump (switch just under the elevator trim wheel). Leave the supercharger in auto mode. I never touch the air intake control or pretty much any other setting apart from what is needed to get the engine running. Try that, and I don't even think you need to do anything with the tank pressurization switch if you have the electric fuel pump on.
  15. While I would love to have a Gripen (note, only one p in Gripen) or a JA-37, our best bet is really the J-35 Draken. Fits in pretty nice with the Mig-19 time frame. Well, a J-29 Tunnan would also be kind of cool playing with the Mig-15 and F-86. :D
  16. Ok, updated to very latest version (released today), edited the mission very slightly (removed a Tu-95) and tried hosting it again (with me as only player). As soon as I fired my RB-15's framerate started dropping and before the missiles had reached the target I was below 1 fps, couldn't even manage to leave the plane by then, so I resorted to killing DCS. Made a new mission, similar but on the Caucasus map, no problems what so ever on that one. I have added the problematic mission here, needs Normandy (of course), Viggen and WW2 Assets pack, in case someone wants to try it to check if they get the same result. Online - Normandy Carrier mission.miz
  17. This is a issue that have started occurring to me since the last two updates. I can't say how universal it is even for me as I have only had it happen in the same online mission over Normandy that I have created and are hosting for myself and friends. As I said, it's a mission over Normandy, some air to air action to begin with (that I usually fly in the Hornet) and once that is taken care of I go ship hunting in the Viggen. And every time I fly the Viggen and fire my RB-15's my framerate starts to drop, by the time my missiles hit my framrate is below 1, and that usually leads me to crash (or I simply eject), and as soon as the Viggen is gone, my framerate is back to normal. I can then take another plane and everything seems to be working fine again. That is until I fire RB-15's again, then the same thing happens. I've used the same basic mission to host for quite some time with only minor changes, and Unfortunately I haven't fired RB-15's in any other mission, so I can't say if it's mission dependent or not, I will try to run a different mission tonight where I can fire RB-15 and see if it happens in that as well.
  18. Nah, out of fuel came a few minutes later while flying on mil power only (since AB was non-working). :)
  19. They did change the engine for the JA-37 (RM8B), think they added one compressor stage (and some length to both the engine and plane body) for it to work better at high altitudes. Not sure how it's connected to the afterburner on the AJ, or if it's correctly modeled the way it behaves in DCS or not. Wiki doesn't mention anything about high altitude problems for the RM8. So I might just be wrong on a connection to high altitude. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_RM8
  20. Looking forward to the update even though I'm already having fun with my Viggen. :) I just wish I had more time to fly it.
  21. Did you check your error panel on the right side? I also flew at 30000+ yesterday at full AB and had the same time happen, and I had a error on the panel. Can't remember exactly what it said, something like pjx24y, I figured it was something about the AB no longer working. Didn't pay too much attention to be honest, I knew I was playing with danger by going that high and that fast (M1.7 something).
  22. My 120GB was getting close to full with Open Beta, Normandie map and Persian Gulf (when it was free to fly). That made me buy a 480GB, but I haven't come around to installing it yet.
  23. I would actually be quite happy with that as well, should fit in just fine together with the F-86 and the Mig-15.
