Raven 68 is 100% correct, the fact that comments like this aren’t just deleted and the person warned are why I limit my involvement in these forums. People are permitted to be rude to others and spout nonsense for zero gain for anyone. “Thank Wags for what?” - literally how dare you. So yeah, you can allow freedom to post for all the fools you want, but you lose contributions from people like me who don’t want to read this sort of drivel. This is a company message board, not some lame democracy. They can go to reddit to have their valuable opinions heard and rated. Just delete their comments 9 line, or make me a mod and I’ll do it. :)

The F-14 is my all time fave jet by a large margin. Everyone at our squadron is looking forward to flying it. However the Hornet has an incredible array of weapons and more advanced and interesting avionics. It’s really just the greatest time ever for flight sims, there’ll be plenty of flying of both F-14 and F/A-18 (and Huey!) at the Stingers for the next decade I’m sure.

Yeah guys it’s easy to create a moving deck but for these videos and our grading for the greenie board it makes no sense to start moving the crosshairs randomly around the screen. The videos are designed for a level consistent playing field so you can see exactly the skills of the pilot.

Onspeed is supposed to be amber, they work but are very hard to see. Onspeed is best judged by looking at the aircraft attitude, I have cued our training film up to the onspeed section: https://youtu.be/BbMw4PcvMyY?t=3m41s

Hi guys thanks. Mod is working fine for us, make sure you’ve downloaded the current version. You don’t need to be in the VFA-113 miz to use the overlays, it’s in the Huey manual though. Please view our LSO training film. We are updating the LSO mission as some new aircrew that have joined the Stingers are real US Navy LSOs and we are evolving the VFA-113 LSO mission with their input. The new “abeam” call is closer to what is said in real life. Removing the “in close” call was also one of their requests. The groove length is 100% accurate as verified by numerous real LSOs and US Navy F/A-18 Pilots. The “3/4 mile” call is for theatrical reasons only and IRL only applies to case 3. Case 1 groove times target 15-18 seconds, not a distance. The PLAT CAM mod will always contain the latest version of the VFA-113 LSO mission.

As I stated earlier, I personally flew with 7 Oculus Rift pilots Friday night in the Persian Gulf and no one had any issues. We believe the patch increased frame rates and I was able to up my pixel density again.
