  1. How great is that X_Man? Setting up Zones for patrolling etc is a piece of cake too. Then you can throw in random zones, random units etc etc. :)
  2. I'm not sure why I'd want to use a Touch or Vive controllers in a flight sim. Doesn't make sense.
  3. If I understand what you are saying with this image shift then I don't really have that while zoomed in. As per everything else you have written it sounds like a defective unit. I would RMA it and if you have the same issues with a new unit then maybe this FOV and other stuff you've mentioned is a thing.
  4. Yeah, I don't bother with replay functionality any longer in game cause it will inevitably let you down. I record a live version while I'm flying and then resort to Tacview for anything useful to look into from different angles etc. It would still be great to use the in-game replay to get great shots from different perspectives and cameras but it isn't worth the hassle.
  5. Just checked and I set mine up with 5.2 and I'm about 99% sure it was because that is what FC specified in his video as you are saying. I agree that it probably isn't a big deal if one isn't using 5.2 functionality. I barely know LUA so I'm not using anything fancy YET.
  6. Hmm, 5.2 sounds familiar to me too which I would have picked up from FC's video. I will double check later.
  7. Yeah I don't understand what this FOV issue is. I see no difference when using the VR zoom.
  8. Once again, this should be separate then. A button to record "debugging" information. Another to record "proper" track information like TacView that can be used for replays. Problem solved.
  9. Have you tried the Oculus Debug tool where you can change various values? Might be something in there that will help you.
  10. That is were it appears in Github as a submodule so I think that is working correctly. I get nothing output with the "git submodule update --init" but maybe cause it is up to date already!! Try typing "git submodule" and it should list DCS as a submodule. If so, I think you are all good.
  11. Don't sell yourself short. At this point Moose is amazing even if left in its current state.
  12. TBear are you saying for learning purposes or to get the mission to work? The .lua is embedded within the .miz file as FlightControl mentioned so the mission will work as is.
  13. No clue what you are taking about with all these distortions and such. You sure you don't have a defective Rift?
  14. Its been up for a while. You can find it here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2333673/
  15. This is considered a beginners mission to learn how to identify targets with the radar and then decide whether to engage or flee. It was also an opportunity for me to learn the Moose Framework (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=138043&highlight=Moose) to create more interesting and dynamic/random missions. The enemy AI will continuously spawn and patrol randomly in the mountains. You'll find enemies at various heights and locations within the patrol zones. Enemy AI will RTB when low on fuel or damaged. You can also fly the SU25T's available on the enemy side. If no human is flying them, AI will be spawned in their place. 3 different types of AI planes (more in the air at any given time) will be spawned that shouldn't be too difficult. Their skill is randomized per spawn and missiles are limited. Should provide the novice F15C pilot with some great engagements though. From the mission briefing: This is just a simple patrol mission using the Moose Framework Patrol and Engagement zones and AI_BALANCER (to fill client seats with AI when needed), Players can fly on either the RED or BLUE side. RED side will be fully AI capable. The RED Ai will spawn a mix of pretty basic planes and loadouts so this is meant more for the beginner. RED AI will Spawn at Mineralnye Vody and patrol in the mountain ranges until low on fuel or requiring rearm/repair. They will then return to base and fly out again after a short time period. Their patrol zone is bounded by approximate grid coordinates: GJ36, GJ00, LN56, LP72 BLUE has two groups defined: F15C Group 1: Flight of 4 human players F15C Group 2: Human lead and AI wingm Download Link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2333673/ For a follow-up mission to this one see my Valley Escort mission.
  16. Update, my mission built with Moose is available now here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2333673/index.php
  17. I'm just getting into it and built a small mission that has AI spawning forever and patrolling zones randomly. I have posted it to the missions area but its not approved as of yet. Once it is will make a post in the forums. Only took about 15 lines of code once I looked at some of the samples etc. And I never wrote anything with LUA before or really created much of anything in the mission editor. There is a lot of activity and help on the Slack channels. FlightControl will invite you in if he hasn't already.
  18. I'm going to be posting a newbie F15C mission with random enemy planes that continuously spawn forever (RTB to base when low on fuel and take off again). They will randomly patrol 1 of 2 zones. They are limited in weapons. Waypoints randomized all over their patrol zones at different heights. I made this first to have something where I can fly and identify targets and learn how to use the radar, get into fights where it makes sense, run from others. I'll be expanding on it when I learn some more. It was also created to learn the Moose Mission Framework so that I can create some really dynamic and random missions. Now I just have to figure out where and how to post this mission!!
  19. I'm new to flying DCS and the F15C and was having this problem too at first. I realized that I was pulling way to hard on the stick and bleeding energy like crazy. I'm now much more gentle on it and things are working out better and better.
  20. You could always use the Moose Framework. I'm just getting into mission making and used the Moose framework for some great AI flying CAP missions. It was just recently added functionality to the framework.
  21. I wouldn't say soon. Arma4 most likely but that is minimum 2018. Although since they have this tech in VBS perhaps they will slip it into Arma3 if possible.
  22. Does this work for F15C and can the tablet be repositioned to the knee for us VR users?
