  1. My experiment also was close to an airfield but anyway if the player is steering the unit, it takes forever to reload/restock
  2. If you you set up a player driven SA-18 and fire 3 shots it shows 3000+ seconds reloading time, switch to another unit and it will start shooting again after a few seconds. What I did: I fired 3 times, then switched to another unit and back to the SA-18 a couple of times (just for a second) and suddenly it will be reloaded again with 3 shots. You can reproduce this.
  3. What a struggle. Hope you guys will have some relief once it's done and not a shift to patching related stress
  4. Yes it mostly is childish, our politics are as populistic as they are in every other country. The voters don't have an educated opinion about this (how should they? Regarding most of the media) It will be a matter of how many will go vote and a big amount of luck. That's my personal opinion. Well: I discussed this several times with pilots in our pilot school (where I served my duty) The 24/7 thing works different: if our Federal Council declares that a high alarm state is neccessary then the AF will be armed and ready up there 24/7. During peace time (always since 1945) they are not armed nor is there a permanent presence of fighter jets in the air. With our current fleet we will be able to maintain this during 1-2 weeks only. Currently our Hornets are only armed (guns, AIM-120C, AIM-9X) during the 2 weeks of the World Economic Forum in Davos or other very special meetings. But without permanent air presence. Some pilots are ready, sitting (!) in the cockpit during these events 24/7 incl. ready groundcrew For your information: we're only using the weapons mentioned on our Hornets plus the 9P on the F-5s. We had recce and ground attack capabilities back in the days with our Mirage IIIRS an with the Hawker Hunter. And the plan is to restore both capabilities on the Gripen, as we still have the instructing pilots. BTW: every airbases has its flightplans in which a lot of stuff in the surrounding areas is respected. Example: there are absolutely no states and landings on an airbase if there is a funeral in the neighouring village or during final exams in summer (secondary school) And no I'm not kidding... Well of course I would have been distractet too during exams: HORNET FTW!
  5. No, wrong thread aaand wrong insignia :smartass: VVS star on the belly
  6. Where is this? Awesome shots, the Tu-95 bomb bay looks cool And I love the Tu-22M with the Kh-41(?), huge thing
  7. And I was already thinking: Am I the only one being annoyed by all this slow old rubbish? I'm really looking forward to the new fast movers MiG-21, Hawk and one day the Hornet. I would buy almost every popular fast mover: MiG-23, F-4 if they have PFM and ASM

    Release??

Serbia, he's on the forums aswell
  9. Well good info, they're fighting for over 3(?) years now, they seem to be knowing exactly what they do and what the rebels/terrorists/tourists/their people equipment is like They haven't heard a single beep on their SPOs I guess But let's stop here I guess. :poster_offtopic: I remember seeing the Russian AF (in this very thread I guess) using their unguided rockets on the Su-25 in Georgia, damn those were different angles and altitudes! :pilotfly: on a less capable plane (compared to the -29, guess that the -27 is the same tractor as the Su-25 in terms of maneuverability) That's the one I meant: Check at 2.00: 45° coming from 4000m
  10. There's absolutely no AA thread, they're flying like morons  Some stingers would teach them how to fly! Even I'm better in the A-10C, and I really suck!
  11. Now that sounds like a big stress relief for the team. Hope you guys won't be fed up with this thing once its done :P Happy Testing & tweaking! :joystick:
  12. Are you involved in any diplomatic negotiatons? :smilewink: I hope we will finally see some nice looking steep terrain, I was disappointed by every game engine until now You can always see that a flat texture is stretched over a steep model, just :puke: The georgia-theater would be just beautiful, if better rendered :D
  13. So you were using the same pedal cable from Leo Bodnar? Btw I had the reversal bug on my throttle not the pedals.
  14. Has anyone tried using Leo Bodnars pedal cable (which is built for the G25, 27 steering wheels), with Logitechs G940 pedals? My throttle had the known "reversal bug", which I fixed the 1st time and now, 6 months later I'm going to throw it it out of the window  But since my new TM Warthog doesn't comes with pedals I wanted to re-use them. Would be glad if someone could tell me if it's working because mine isn't working yet and I think I have to rearrange the cables on the G940 pedals according to this: http://leobodnar.com/products/DFPG25conn/DFPG25sch.png
  15. 3 million? What's the point if it isn't even in flyable condition? I would spend 10-15 grand on this to put it in my.... Dammit I need a bigger yard! :P
  16. :music_whistling: Lots of mods online now :) And most of the team: THANKS a lot for your effort so far! Been waiting since the A-10C for something fast. Having a russian fast-mover is awesome! Big thanks to the whole team!
  17. No, I mean't that I would waive all this (T-Shirt, DVD...), if that would bring the Devs any benefit and buy the MiG "again"
  18. Well said! I won't reclaim my money (50 bucks, to be honest) because, as said beczl spent years doing what he did and I'mok with that. I wouldn't even insist getting the stuff told on indiegogo nor a copy of the game. I will buy it anyway. But I don't think that they care about 50$ less... maybe some people join idk
  19. Beautiful! I love russian planes Edit: Is it the Komsomolsk plant?
  20. 2: 7, seven, SEVEN for gods sake!!! :puke: Don't you know the rule: good, Sh*t, good, Sh*t????? 95-good, 98-BSOD, NT-good, Me/2000-bullsh*t, XP-good, Vista-sucks, 7-good, 8-??? No, seriously if would go for Windows 7 there will be Updates for quite a long time (XP will shut down this April and it started in 2003 IIRC) I'm using Windows 8 at work and I obviously hate it for several reasons, but my one was preassembled (coming with Win8 ). I now bought 5 workstations which I assemble on my own, all of them with 7
  21. Suggestion Would you mind opening a thread in which only DCS: MiG-21bis devs could post? Just like the "Official Updates"-one on top of the forum. I just read a whole page of stupid chit-chat and arguing (which is now deleted, about democracy WTF???) just in case I miss something official I won't comment the statements made by some here except for this one: and of course: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en :book:
  22. Amen
  23. I think I checked their connectivity with a multimeter (but I can't exactly remember) but I'm sure that I've only fixed the damaged ones and today (not even a year after my first post) it's broken again. As like Abburo suggested: you should change all wires OR you're doing the same like me: I'm going to throw this thing, I hate it, mostly its software, it still uses the same layout and the same function like it did 10 years ago when I bought my first joystick: a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro (oh hey: which still cost 50 bucks as it did 10 years ago :puke: ) I think I'm gonna buy a Thrustmaster Wathog, the only thing that holds me back is its lack of a rudder pedal
  24. :protest: 06-24-2011, 08:50 PM :music_whistling: Or even better be the SAR pilot, as suggested in this thread
  25. Been there, done that :smilewink:
