  1. Didn't you hear? We are broke!! :D Best regards, Tango.
  2. ????? 3rd party cockpits are fully clickable. Best regards, Tango.
  3. :megalol::megalol::megalol: No, this is actually a serious request. Is it possible for ED to add a flashlight that can be used in the cockpit at night, and maybe follow the mouse around? Have it light up the panel where it is shining during electrical failure, or cold and dark start as you'd do IRL??? Best regards, Tango.
  4. I thought it was awesome! I had a playlist on there which was great!! Also added extra realism to the fact that you really could tune radio stations on the HF radios. :D I'm all in favor if seeing a new Radio Mykop!!! Best regards, Tango.
  5. ...or a mathematician! But yes, to say it is not a highly technical job is a lie. If the sim is done properly, you can't avoid physics or engineering. Right now, I'm buried in the mathematics of hydraulic systems theory. I'm currently re-writing the hydraulics logic so it models fluid dynamics as my current system just isn't written well (though the end result looks good, the way it is currently written is driving me totally crazy). Sure, I'll be making a bunch of assumptions to simplify the model, but then this is not some Masters project in CFD!! :D It will mean however that it is much easier to do things than they are presently. Best regards, Tango.
  6. That to me says you can have 1000 installs, but you can only run one at a time. Best regards, Tango.
  7. I know there are procedures to handle it, but people need to look and think beyond the technology. ;) IRL it isn't as simple as lock, instant ID and shoot if hostile. Best regards, Tango.
  8. You can have the best hardware in the world, but it doesn't mean anything if the pilot flying it doesn't know how to handle it. How does the F-22 handle a jet that is RF cold? It becomes a blob on RADAR that he can't ID. Should he shoot or not? Best regards, Tango.
  9. Try telling that to some reporters that were on the wrong end of one a couple of years ago during the Georgia conflict. Pilot had no probs spotting them and shooting missiles very accurately in their direction. Sure, against RADAR based systems they are screwed (unless they are flying DEAD), but they are a very capable platform for what they were designed to do. You are trying to compare MULTI-ROLE aircraft against a largely DEDICATED platform, and you can't do it. It''s like saying the B-52 is useless for air-to-air. That isn't what it was designed for. Best regards, Vulcan.
  10. Hi, I can replicate this consistently. If you click EXIT lots of times on the activation dialogues, and keep clicking after the last one, clicking in the black screen will cause a CTD. It is OK once the progress bar appears. Best regards, Tango.
  11. Tango

    DCS:Soyuz

Including realistic communications delay! :D Best regards, Tango.
  12. Tango

    DCS:Soyuz

Any takers? :D Best regards, Tango.
  13. It's likely your internet connection. Some ISPs will throttle the connection speed during "peak hours" (whatever that is LOL - most people I know leave stuff d/l during the night - when it is allegedly "off peak", despite the US being in "peak hour" at the same time!) and it might mean it will drop more often. Best regards, Tango.
  14. Are you sure you installed the version of A-10 meant for the version of World? I installed DCS:World 1.2.0 over the top of whatever the earlier version was, then installed the 1.2.0 version of A-10 over the top (note that I have the stand-alone A-10 installed and activated), and it worked without problems. Best regards, Tango.
  15. Awwww........ Best regards, Tango.
  16. ALTIMETER * Connected to static system * Correct failure behavior VSI * Connected to static system * Correct failure behavior ASI * Connected to static system * Correct failure behavior Best regards, Tango.
  17. There are real-world pilots who go "YEEEEHHHAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!" so your question is not as simple as it first appears. :D Needless to say, those pilots don't live too long. I wouldn't drive my car to the gas station last night (1 mile) because I already drove it too far with the light on. I walked and picked some up because I didn't want to risk the engine dying on the way there. That's me though. Best regards, Tango.
  18. I agree - the perf in 1.2.0 is excellent. I can now run the sim at max detail and still get 40+ FPS. Before it would kill my system (compared to A-10C standalone version). Best regards, Tango.
  19. If you are able to, you can deactivate the product first, putting that activation back into the pool, before changing computer for example. Only good though if your HD or system didn't fail to the point you can't do this. Best regards, Tango.
  20. AIR DATA * Determination of static and dynamic pressure from first principles * Air density calculation * Mach calculation * Airspeed derived from static and dynamic pressures * Airspeed error due to density (altitude and/or temperature) * Compressibility effects and "ram rise" by modelling adiabatic compression using the first law of thermodynamics * Airspeed error due to AoA and slip angle * IAS position error precisely matches the L-39 profile * Complete modelling of static and pitot system with all consumers connected to the relevant system(s) Best regards, Tango.
  21. Hi pepin1234, It is too early to say which skins will be included. It depends on a few things, including permission to include the skin in the package. We shall certainly note it however! :) Best regards, Tango.
  22. Yet more progress!! :D :D PRESSURIZATION * Atmospheric pressure model * Cabin pressure model * Cabin rate controller limits cabin rate * Residual pressure on ground with canopy sealed/positive pressure on ground with accurate pressurization/depressurization rates * Differential pressure reacts correctly to cabin pressure and aircraft altitude * Positive and negative safety valves implemented * Canopy seals and leak rates implemented * Parasitic pressure leakage modeled I think that is all! :D Best regards, Tango.
  23. Western team here, developing the L-39, built in Czechoslovakia, and sold mainly to the USSR for training. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aero_L-39_Albatros#Variants Definitely a Soviet-era, "eastern" jet trainer. ;) Best regards, Tango.
