How do you find that this handles? It felt a bit too twitchy for me, especially when trying to take-off/land.

This was my first F-14 sim.

Yeah, I did that, and for some reason, it kept saying "an error has occurred" every time I tried to play it. Oh well, thanks for embedding it for me!

So, I know this isn't exactly the version we are getting, but this is an incredible video. I found it extremely entertaining, and it's a way to get the hype up. Embedding the video is causing an error for some reason, even when I do it the correct way, so you get a link for now.

I was all ready to jump into Nellis Night, and realized there was an update. So, I'll sit here patiently waiting for DCS to update...

For a little while, I felt like we were getting a new flight video every couple days on Youtube. I haven't seen one posted in some time. I, too, am hoping this means they are in the final push, getting things finalized. I've loved the Harrier ever since I was a little kid. I can't wait to fly it in Nevada, and try to recreate the scene from True Lies on one of the tall buildings.

I hope that one day, I don't have to rely on mods to be able to fly this beauty.

It should. I don't know if DCS servers require any special ports to be opened, or anything like that. Assuming it doesn't, then yeah.

Private server should allow you to set a password, that you can then give to your friends. This will let you and your friends do whatever you want, without worry of anyone else joining in and possibly ruining your fun.

I jumped into a server the other night, with a SU-27 flying loops over Nellis. Any time a new jet spawned, he would immediately destroy it. I tried 4 times to get my aircraft going quick enough, to no avail. I called out on SRS and text for any aircraft in the air to come help, but over time, everyone was dead, and couldn't spawn. I get that it's a thing that COULD, however unlikely, happen in real life, but there is a point where it just gets a little over the top.

I can't seem to get the chaff or flare to work, no matter what I do...

If I remember correctly, one of the airports in, I believe, Nevada already has a box painted on the runway.

Thanks for the response, I'm about to take a flight to test things out, I'll let you know for sure whether or not the HOTAS works. And yeah, it's extremely incredible. I have almost every module, save for most choppers, ( I only have the Huey, and don't care to own any more unless an apache is ever developed. ) and this is my second favorite, only after the F-5.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, using the mouse to activate the countermeasure switch doesn't work? What if I map the key to my warthog, will that allow it to work properly? I just purchased the Viggen two days ago, and I'm still learning this amazing aircraft, so I haven't had much use to play with the countermeasures yet.

Pretty much my setup, and I run everything on ultra settings, and I get no less than 80 FPS at all times, on any terrain. You will be more than okay.

I've seen the devs post somewhere that this will NOT be a thing, at least not any time in the near future. Apparently it's a lot of work to program that in, and they said it's not a top priority for them right now. Too much other stuff to work on, I guess. I'll see if I can find the post.
