If you search, there is a link to a thread somewhere where Cobra said it'll be out a day or two ahead of launch, if I remember correctly.
I'll see if I can find the link, and if I can, I'll edit it in here.
Edit: Found it:
Yeah, it's been in several of the videos. I don't always notice it on the first watch-through, though. I've been scoping every video for every detail I can.
If you are referring to the video by Jabbers, he posted somewhere on the forums saying he set up the couple commands specifically for that video. He didn't make a full profile for it.
There was a screenshot of a member of Heatblur saying the paint kit will be out a day or two before launch. You, or someone else, can make it then, and have it ready for the 13th.
I'm more than happy to fly prospective RIOs around, so they can learn their systems.
Put up some Russian bears, with an escort or two, and keep practicing.
You know you can edit the position yourself, right? Pretty easily, might I add.
There is a decent tutorial/write-up on the forums that I used to help with the F/A-18 JHMCS alignment "issue."
How would that help immersion any more than the way it already is?
In real life, you don't switch back and forth between positions, so even being able to in the sim/game is, in and of itself, "immersion breaking."
That is meant to be released as a complete module, from my understanding.
This is meant to be an EA release. There is a big difference in the two, and why one would get sent back for de-bugging, and why the other would be given a green light.
Some of these videos are being produced to be a part of the manual, hence they have certain things to go over in each video, and they don't want to get sidetracked doing multiple things in one video.
They've ( the content creators ) already also stated that they are not giving away too much of the jet, because they want the end user to be able to get a full experience when we finally get our hands on this beautiful beast.
