Can we please fix the culminator in the viggen.
Max_Rogue replied to Neon's topic in Bugs and Problems
I think most devs are slowing down on keeping up with updates, knowing that 2.5 is, hopefully, very soon. Which means an onslaught of all new problems, and some of the old ones may disappear, with new ones taking their place. This is just my thoughts, as it seems to be the case. Razbam is kind of working on the M2K, but aren't really fixing too much. HB is kind of doing things with the Viggen, but not much. I'm betting that it'll be much the same for the minor stuff once the F-14 and the Harrier are both released, at least until 2.5 comes out. -
I started with a trackir and the t.flight. I upgraded, and man, has my enjoyment of this game improved. I got a TM Warthog and TM rudders, I forget the name of them.

How do you set a specific, predetermined viewpoint? -
I'll be doing mine the same way. My right friction axis is used for zoom. My question is, how many settings are there for the flaps? I see it's just a switch he hits twice to get into full flaps, so does that mean 3 position? Up-mid-full down? This guy sums up why I'll be doing my throttles the same way Jabbers has:

DCS: Strait of Hormuz Map Teaser

Definitely doing the same. -
Yeah, I'm fine with waiting a little longer than what they originally projected, in order to get a great quality module. I have absolute faith in Heatblur to provide a great product, and these things take time. We have the harrier releasing soon, which will be plenty to keep me occupied until the F-14 and the F/A-18 release. Three of my favorite planes within a few months ( hopefully ) of each other is amazing! Now we just need a proper F-15 full fidelity, and an F-16, and I'll never have to buy another module again! Haha.

Yeah, he got a subscribe from me, as well...

I don't think very many people are grasping the concept that the water isn't needed 100% of the time, or they are very adamant about doing training in Nevada for "realism," which I totally understand. Some times ya just want that immersion.

I think there are just too many people who should have stuck with Ace Combat. :music_whistling:

I can't wait to see video of the new vapor in effect, especially on the Tomcat. I am so ready for this plane!

Lol, last night, I was on F99th server, and doing my thing, attacking some ground targets. I didn't have any overhead protection, and had a very fun time being chased outta dodge by a Mig-21. He got a few shots in with his gun, and missed the only missile shot he took. I ran back to Nellis, and went to land. Wouldn't ya know it, I did everything perfect, but had a hard landing, and got confused until the aircraft slid off the runway to the left. I forgot my damn landing gear! Luckily it still was a relatively smooth landing, but man, that was embarrassing. I know it's not quite the same thing, just thought I'd share my funny little story.

Flight of 4 'Hogs, coming in to bring the heat. These next two pictures are very important to me, as this is my first successful air-to-air refueling. May not seem like much to some of you guys, but this is a big milestone for me! Going to keep flying this training mission, until I can do this in adverse conditions with no problem.

Persian Gulf ground assets?
Max_Rogue replied to Stratos's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I agree. The civilian traffic can be extremely immersion breaking. If they were more reactive to the things going on around them, it might not be so bad. -
How much pressure needed to actuate the rudder pedals depends on what rudder pedals you use. I have the Thrustmaster T-Rudder, and they move very smoothly, and don't take much pressure at all. I've heard others have way more resistance, to give a more realistic feel, but they are also more expensive. This is all assuming you meant sim-pedals, and not IRL rudders.

What about the people who aren't American, and don't fly American jets? I'm sure they'd like to train in a more realistic, for them, environment. I would love it if training missions were done in Nevada as well, but I also try to see everyones perspective.

Didn't they say it would release with only unguided munitions to start with? Or was that the F/A-18? Maybe both?
-
This has been answered. The answer to both of your questions would be yes.

I flew last night, after updating, and she definitely works.

I meant more along the lines of, how often does an F/A-18 take off from a carrier to do AG?
-
I prefer AG, but I'm wondering how often a Hornet would take-off and recover from a carrier when doing AG? I'm currently reading some Hornet books in preparation, so maybe I'll find out soon enough!
