  1. Finally got my controls working in proper order. Much better experience indeed. I flew online last might in a "simulation" server. I flew 190 d12 against primarily 262's and mustangs. It's funny with jets in a ww2 setting you have speed as such an advantage but these guys were forgetting that and getting mixed up in turning fights. I got called a cheater a few times because I kept shooting down the jets (they would stall out while in a verticle turn fight) but I was able to maintain control. Word of advice to 262 users. Speed is life so read up on boom and zoom. Also 262 couldn't take much punishment, the jet engines were very easy to damage and a slow jet plane is a dead one, even against prop planes. Had a good time, a nice little bridge until SOW.
  2. The cockpit is fantastic. I wonder if an fsx version is possible.
  3. Dodoo sim's 206 is pretty good. They're working on Huey next, that for fsx. I have xplane for mac, but no tracker ir so I'm done with it unfortunaly.
  4. I think for the demo you have to complete the training and it will open up "simulator" setting. That's what happened for the console version anyway. I know nothing about the PC demo.
  5. I've actually never seen this problem whilst flying. Curious, graphic card?
  6. It's the year of the HOG!
  7. It's an updated version of that game. Updated by means of enhanced to fit the PC market. Some differences, but it's like a console port, but not directly :)
  8. Last night I had a dream DCS announced their next module. DCS MIG 25!!!! I have no idea how the mig 25 popped into my head as I've maybe seen it a few times in a manual somewhere, but I until now (I searched it online when I woke up) had no idea what it looked like off hand. Now I've seen it I can say I saw it, but how it jumped in my head to be the next DCS module I have no idea. Why I'm even THINKING of the next module with FC 2.0 and DCS Warthog I have no idea. Sorry to derail there a second, back on topic. I would honestly like to know how many people would actually play a combined ground/air sim to it's fullest potential. It always seems to me unless you're in a squad the organizational element is almost none existant. As much as it would cost to develope and produce do you think financially it would be successfull in a world where sim's (for the most part) are few and far between.
  9. Looking forward to it Total!
  10. MAMA!
  11. My feelings in the game are mediocure so far. I haven't had a lot of time to play all that much as of yet, but I need to tweak my deadzone or something. Way too easy to stall and spin these planes. Tracers look really nice, graphic are nice as well. Big fps difference between virtual cockpit and no pit I find. I really need to get my controls in order though, razorbacks p47 in fsx is a way more stable model that the p47 in wop.
  12. I checked the natural point website and don't see any files yet available for WOP. It says "coming soon". ??? Is compatibility with tracker IR found in the 1.5 GB update?
  13. 5gb download? How long to download roughly?
  14. Looks like I'm going to take the plunge as well! Got a few things to do before the purchase (kitchen reno's) so I won't have too much time to play. I can't buy and not play, I'd rather hold off buying....otherwise like a cracked out druggie i'll be looking to get my fix when I should be sleeping. ;)
  15. I came on here this morning specifically to find something like this! Thanks for the link Andy!
  16. It's a good idea, but you loose a certain quality control when you go outside or you have to yield sensitive data to potential competitors. I like to know my DCS modules are designed and programmed by DCS employees.
  17. Be sure to let us know how the full version is! They never published a release date so I'm surprised it came out already!
  18. Wow really?? Just in time for christmas!!
  19. The beta is out now, full release is not out yet.
  20. Diveplane...professional VJ! :)
  21. That would be nice, knowing the correct startup procedure upon launch heheh. That feels like it's so far away from now I can only imagine how my life will be different then.
  22. I was flying along and switched to external view to help pass the time. I was scrolling around with my mouse and to my surprise a smoke plum headed right at me...I fumbled in my panic (out of flares as I was RTB for ammo) I for some reason couldn't get myself back into the cockpit quick enough (F1 I know). I just grabbed the controls and pulled up hard, but not TOO hard and the TOW missile went right under me. It was the kind of missile maneuver that you only see work in the movies or HAWKS and I managed it in black shark. Lucky to say the least...but a testament to that external mouse controls and it's usefulness. I know hardcore don't use external views, but I just wanted to admire the blades whirling away hhehehe.
  23. I'm hoping to see something from Glowing A ;).....................anything...............to the tune. All I want for Christmas is DCS Hog and I know that's a lot to ask for but Santa's done it before. heheh Even just a tease of it. The good news is it's almost the NEW YEAR so look out A-10 INFO and hopefully PRODUCER NOTES (dying to see startup/takeoff/).
