Crash or no crash, you are able to fly it RIGHT and for that I am envious (but in the most positive way possible). *droooools* what I wouldn't give to crash and then crash again...AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!

:megalol: Inconceivable!

That all pre-dated crowd funding I think. Obviously they needed to fund their overly ambitious project, but clearly ... even for the guys who are funded and do it full time...it's VERY time consuming. Unfortunately even near the end there when things weren't looking so great, they never released anything public. Even stuff that was 3 years old (after being released in area 51). Crowdfunding I think is changing the "game" so to speak.

I'd be in for a pre-purchase as well. I've seen the evidence and I love the bird...I'm all in, even if it means I can't fly it right now, the "hard part" will be over with. *off topic*I've also dropped some coin on Star Citizen, not over $1000 at this point, but I got myself a cushy constellation ... waiting for more info/blue prints on what I want as my secondary ship.

I love the P-51 module, even though it doesn't quite fit with as many on these forums. I think the inclusion of WWII aircraft (among other era's) is amazing...even if it's all under one roof. Matter of fact, I think it's amazing it's all under one roof. No other flight sim apart from FSX can you fly a P51, F-15 Eagle and A-10C (all human players) in formation. Hell pepper a few Huey's in there and (from the American perspective anyway) there's 60 years of aviation history under one playable roof....that's cool even if it's not "realistic" in that way many complain it's not. I believe the step process (as lengthy as it seems) is the only sustainable way to move forward with the series. The numbers and resources dictate the flow, passion and devotion will only take you so far. Thanks for the update Wags, much appreciated and looking good!

Ha, loved it. So many good lines... "I'm so angry I could sit sideways in this chair"

What you nee are Hogs clearing the LZ before flying into the zone or fly a route that will take you around any AAA. Accept the challenge and work within it...don't wait around for lighter AAA ;) :joystick:

It's not uncommon for ED to do a spring sale....if my memory serves me right. The fact that 1.2.3 just dropped means we are a few months from 1.2.4 (which is fine not complaining). If I'm wrong...I gets me a UH-1 sooner than expected.

She's a beast, once you stop fighting her she will respond, slow and steady with movements, you have lots of runway...don't be afraid to take things slow ;). I don't think BF3 will help with the frustration level ;)

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
element1108 replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I didn't get that it would specifically be the next. I am pre-dating the news letter, but it was stated the next DCS Aircraft would be a multi-role aircraft. F-18C is my vote. What specifically makes you think F-15C is the NEXT DCS aircraft? -
I would kill to see a startup video of this bird...

I know, the UH-1 and Mig 21 dropping sometime this year doesn't help much either...I did buy CA (had to based on principle alone) but haven't had nearly enough time to use it as I would like. I bought it primarily for business trips (just mouse click my way through layovers and long flights) but since it's dropped I haven't had much travel. Even so, it's a much better product now than when I bought it :).

My guess is they were pretty much ready to release, then the legal issue arose and grounded everything to a halt. I mean they were citing a 2012 release with only 3 months left in 2012. Plus the ICON being present in modern DCS world video's. If you think the process of programming takes a long time, legal issues take WAY longer...those guys aren't jonzing to fly the latest dcs fighter, they're more interested in billing their $500 an hour rates and how to maximize that ;). Jk on the last part (sorta)...but yes, once I heard legal issues...my heart sank...those are problems outside of the control of developers, no amount of OT hours programming/testing will get us closer to release. Best of luck team, looking forward to the eventual release.

Everybody's understanding and comprehension of the English language varies, but I didn't find anything vague about that video. The list of the up coming dcs and module aircraft blew me away. Of course things are always subject to change but I doubt that video was released as a bible and more of a general overview. It was informative, but not really worth analyzing every frame and word for hidden meanings and metaphors. :music_whistling:

Latest FC3 Update 4/1/13
element1108 replied to robert123456's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Additional 6DOF pits....very good news! (It's all good news, but I wasn't expecting that). -
I figured it was an optimistic guess given the legal hold up...I'm completely fine with it and appreciate the honestly. Although I will never understand the firestorms missed release dates muster.
-
I would assume (and I don't assume much) its being worked on and will eventually be released. :music_whistling: Looking forward to the additions.

Must have.... Thanks for the update EB!

Stupid legalities....put the law aside and show us the GOODS ;)... Dying to see the cockpit and interior model shots. Oh and while I'm on a wish list a video of the startup ;) SIP SIP SIP SIP SIP SIP SIP SIPSIPSIPSIPSIPSISPISPISPSISPISPISP (<--- rotar SIP SFX)

I could be wrong, but my take on that was you "unlock" the demo with the USB key (demo mode joystick disables after 10mins). The demo has a limited amount of terrain data, so if you go outside that narrow window, you will see nothing but water and the run way you're sitting on. Nice for frame rates, bad for immersion ;). My only complaint with x-plane 10 currently is the lack of buildings at airports. I like to fly out of my local airports in a civi sim and the lack of buildings really kills that immersion factor. It's not a deal breaker for me and it's a common complaint with x-plane users. Although what they've done with the roads/highways/houses and overall night lighting makes up for it to a large degree.

You got it, eyeballs, a stop watch and a bunch of visual cues ;)...or just let the flight leader do it ;)...just make sure you cover his arse.

That's probably it, thanks!

Strange as I still can't find it. I tried to purchase bS2 full version but doesn't let me check out with credit card. Dosnt allow me to move froward beyond my cart. (I had purchased the upgrade when the sale was on in the spring but didn't install it as my sim comp has been down for months)

Thanks guys!!! (Facepalm)

This is the dumbest thing ever, but for the life of me I can't seem to find my serial number for BS2 upgrade OR my original BS purchase. It's been awhile since I've had it installed and recently got the new puter so installing everything now. I've gone through my entire inbox looking for the ED confirmation email, but I guess it was so long ago (2008 for original) maybe it's gone. I know there's a place to find it while logged in, but I just can't seem to find it for some reason. (I found my other serials via emails, so haven't used the log in to source serials for any of them...maybe that's why). Any help would be greatly appreciated...and thanks guys.:joystick:
