IIRC there are no F-16 units, active duty, ANG or reserve, that have a pure 100% A2A mission. There are units that have A2A as a priority role and secondary is A2G, which IIRC the 80th FS in the 8th FW (Kunsan AB, Korea) is primarily tasked with A2A with a secondary role of air interdiction, whereas their sister squadron, the 35th, is Air Interdiction and SEAD primarily with A2A as secondary.

I think for a lot of people, at least from what I observed, the GR's sense of entitlement is what has fostered a more negative "community mind" towards them. When, I forget which video it was, one of the GR's basically said "When is our copy showing up?" or something along those lines, when there were plenty of people who had pre-paid and such were watching..yeah, it looked bad. This only continues this trend. The GR's make videos that certain people like, certain people hate, and the whole spectrum in between the two. However I will admit this sort of public outrage and PR campaign for them is unsightly and doesn't help.

Hello Baltic, Been playing the Mirage campaign a lot, and loooove it. Have you any thoughts of doing F-16 campaigns when the time comes?

It's unlikely the F-15C will be in US service until 2040.. based on their current wear rates, I suspect the C's will be gone by 2025/2030.

Will these changes amount to essentially it being transformed into a 2000-5?

Not quite true on the PTID comment. Lantirn worked best with the PTID, however it wasn't required. The D's never fully got the PTID and did a lot of Lantirn work.

The maximum G load was rated at 4.5, however obviously in combat if you're really needing to you can exceed that. In fact..a MiG-25 in Desert Storm got into a turning fight with a F-15..it didn't end well, but the F-15 pilot "began to suspect" that the MiG-25 pilot "wasn't Iraqi".. being coy for indicating a Soviet pilot flying since the Soviet Union had a long history of supplying pilots unofficially.
