Well if the event viewer is to be believed it's a windows issue. Have you installed the latest windows updates, done a virus/spyware scan lately? It might also be worth running scan disk. It's possible you have data corruption, it could be from any number of things but doing the above may throw up something interesting. Failing that replacing ntdll.dll might be worth a try, although it's usually a sign of other issues.

Dragon...I might have known you would be telling him to use FD! For me I use trim, along with a latched trim button so I can spend a bit longer comfortably trimming properly. Saying that I do have the FD mapped to my pinkie switch so if something un-expected happens or I end up in close/lots of direction change combat I jab FD on.

Ah right, sounds like you need to tweak your profile a bit then. You need to increase the amount of movement you get of your in game head over your real head movement. Or re-position your headset and reciever.

I don't think it would be a star force thing. I haven't seen any star force problems beyond people not wanting it. It's a definate improved system over what it started out as. Anyway, run the launcher and then when it crashes go: Start>Control Panel>Adminisitrive Tools>Event Viewer>Windows Logs>Application. Go through them (top down) and your looking for a mention of launcher.exe and copy everything out and paste it into here.

I have an 8800 GT which for all intents and purpose is a 9800 GT and I have no issues at all on either game. Do not run FSX in DX10 mode as already said. Do the affinity trick on BS (if you can).

Does this happen after a reboot? What does your event viewer tell you? What OS are you running? Are you running any affinity programs? Do you have any mods installed?

I must admit I never really have a problem with it re-centring. I didn't even know it did. You must have some amazing kneck muscles to keep your head 100% perfectly still. It took me a few weeks of using TIR to figure out it had those three extra buttons :D Oh and a word of advice, re-map them to some really odd and difficult keys as to not intefere with BS.

I haven't seen Valkrie, but I always liked the way that they did it in Hunt for the Red October. In Russian, with subtitles, and then switch to English. Some then speak with a Russian accent and other with clear precise English...and then there is Mr Connery.

Cool, can we have this for all the campaigns? Maybe an option in the settings "Start cold" or "Start normally". I for one jab the "cheat" shutdown key as soon as I get into a mission so I can power it back up properly. I just don't trust the state it's in when I get to it powered up. I had one instance where some the buttons in the cockpit were on, but the device was actually off. Basically the button state was not reversed to what it was actually doing. So I had to switch stuff off to get it on.

1) Search the forums, someone has posted a link so you can download the russian speech for the betty, atc everything. 2) There is a mod comming out soon that replaces the russian speech in the campaigns with English in a Russian accent. If you don't speak russian and when you start playing the campaigns reading the subtitles suddenly becomes increadibly tricky. If you want to know how tricky I suggest you go find a book with a small font, then rip out a page and tape it to your sun visor in your car. Now go for a drive and find somewhere really busy with fast moving traffic where you need your full concentration to navigate and not get t-boned...done that? Right now read that page while your doing it!

Pretty good videos there! I felt some of the shots went on a bit too long and at times you were padding for the music, but saying that there were some very nice visuals, a good choice of music and a nice selection of interesting angles. The post was pretty good, although some of the vegas stock effects are getting a little too commen now a days. I thought your terminator one was the best and the post effects were a sight to behold. Top work but I would tighten up on someof the shot lengths, cut/edit the shots with game graphical glitches and cut out the jerky bits and then you have some great videos there. Well done!

If anyone finds this at a later date and follows it be warned default.exe is actually default.lua. Basically delete all *.lua that aren't the default.lua files.

Maybe it's that. I just seem to be fighting the APs all the time, I want to go one way, they the other and without the trim button they usually win...well they put up a good fight anyway...and then not let me forget about it.
