Hang on here, he has opened the model (although it may be against the backwards engineering part of the t&cs) he hasn't hurt anyone. If what you say is true about him "borrowing" other peoples models I suppose it depends what he does with them. Alll he has shown us is that it's possible to open up EDs models.

Is it possible to restore default key settings? I understand you can restore (although I have never done it) individual controls, but I was wondering if it's possible to do the whole smash? I have made a few alterations in the past to free up some keys that I now longer need. I can't for the life of me remember what I have removed/changed so it would be a lot easier to restore the keys to defaults.

thrOtt, I am going to have to disagree with these upscaling people. I wouldn't alter your sound card to upmix anything. It's effectivly getting something from nothing so although it might "sound better" it is in fact overtly faked. The only thing that I might switch on is cloning your rears from your fronts, other than that do nothing. I would probably not even do that. Playing as the devs intended is usually the best way forward. Well thats just my take on it anyway. Have you got it yet?

5.1 although nice isn't the be all and end all in games. Certain games it adds an advantage, others it's negligable at best. You don't need 5.1 for this game, but it will sound better than just out of stereo on your system (the .1 still works after all). Just buy the game, worrying about such a thing is like not buying a game that is so brilliant in so many ways as you find it only does stereo and it doesn't really matter...oh wait :D Then again you could argue that merely asking if this game is for you means it's not.

You all have installed the latest .net right? Failing that, on occasion the driver/profile system doesn't start up on windows boot properly. If this is the case a reboot will sort it (usually). It's also worth writing a service stop/start for the saitek service in a batch file and placing it on your desktop. On occasion running that is just as good as a reboot. I do occasionally get complete drop outs on the saitek MFD/key responses and sometimes the service reboot works, other times I need a reboot (during the game this is). If you do do a service restart during playing make sure your not entering any key presses (including latched), have no axis (apart from throttle) input and aren't overly attatched to the game your playing. A lot of the time the service restart will work, on occasion it doesn't and your controls usually don't respond at all and the game may crash. Right if I remember correctly it's down to the INU not being aligned properly (yet). Basically if you turn down your engine RPM from automatic the INU looses power (I think) and thus when you push it back up it needs to power up and re-align. This is the same for take off, it will take a few minutes to align before you get an acurate speed read out. If however you get over 50 kph the old fashioned air flow speedo kicks in and you start getting a readout, only above 50 though I think, as soon as you drop below (before the INU aligns) you don't have a speed read out.

If you want that precise one but extended then it would have to come from ED I think. The "debris" would take a bit of time to get similar, but other than that the rest would easy to do. I would do it, if I could be bothered I would do it...but I can't :D

I was chatting to him earlier today and he says he is working on the asphalt one as we speak...so cool aye!?!? As far as I am aware nuns with orphans, puppy's and kittens are waiting for the asphalt version. I really hope he doesn't disapoint them. I thought there were some WIP screens shots of the Apache VC cockpit in this forum somewhere? Is it being modelled just in case it comes after the A10? Oh and I would just like to say I think I would prefer the 52 over the apache if it's up for a decision. I have to admit that a) I prefer helecopters and b) I prefer russian aircraft. They just seem more "real", I don't know what it is about them.
