I went to the facebook page but it says I have to be a member? I requested access. Is there somewhere else the beta can be downloaded? I really hate fltpying without the seat now!

You want to download Simshaker for Aviators to use the KW-908 with DCS. Seems the jetseat took 7-10 days to arrive.

Thats why I want to find where in the DCS file structure the voice files are. Just replace them with your own, or someone elses, recordings of what the crew chief says. Same for ATC and any other radio comms.

Look for the servers that are not password protected. Then click on a server and in the bottom box it will list what aircraft you can fly on the server. Sign on to that server, select your aircraft and youll be in. Start researching SRS (Simple Radio), Teamspeak 3, and Discord for talking to live players in game. With non password sites, usually its open to everyone. Membership not required. Just join and if you are having troubles ask questions! Start researching OVGME so you can start applying modifications such as aircraft paint jobs! Research easy communication for DCS. ATC can be set to work only when you have the correct frequencies set in the aircraft. I still only get it right half the time. Sometimes even the correct frequencies, radio selected on, and volume high and they dont respond.

VR Zoom- from the main DCS screen go to the controls menu, in the aircraft selection tab go to the bottom where it says ui layer. Bind one of your buttons easily accesed by one of your thumbs that you pull back toward to the recenter VR. Bind the forward motion of that same button to VR zoom. I use the throttle thumb hat. As far as the map, you can zoom in and out with the mouse wheel or the control buttons on the screen. Drag the map around. Play with it. Best advice is watch you tube videos. Even something not exactly what you want to know can teach you new examples and capabilities. Redkite on youtube is an excellent source.

I was you a few months ago! Schurem answered exactly as I would have. Dont forqet there are helicopters too. I have the Huey which is the easiest to learn and fly, I think. Id get a jetseat SOON too. Makes flying 100 times better and you will fly better with it because youll feel what the aircrafts doing. I prefer the Caucusses map over the rest. It is far and away the prettiest scenery and as was mentioned it is very much improved from what it was 6 months ago. A desert is amdesert is a desert whether it is NTTR or Persian Gulf. Normandy is ok but a little bland and flat. So its the desert with trees. Dont forget the ships start messing about with the mission editor. It stumped me cold for a long while and still does for scripts and triggers BPUT, having said that, putting whatever you want to fly wherever you want to fly it is simple with some basic instruction. DCS has come a long way in 6 months!

Can you tell me where the voice files are? I've seen the folder before but can't remember which one it is. I want to modify them to an easier to listen to set.

I wish they would fix the weight not being delete from aircraft total weight after unhooking/unloading. After moving cargo or personnel: Delete the cargo weight! DELETE THE CARGO WEIGHT! Unless you can DELETE THE CARGO/PERSONNEL WEIGHT after dropping it off, the helicopters further use in a mission is none.

An offshoot of this mod would be nice. Is there a way to change the Crew Chiefs voice and maybe adjust some of what he is saying? He says the right things for the most part but its cut off.

In as much as it's worth, in real life I've never seen a military sling load with the pilot looking over the side. All the cargo centering, hookup, etc is handled and communicated to the pilots by the crew chief in the back. That is for all US helicopters. Get used to trusting the guy in the back and that lets you concentrate on being smooth and flying the bird. Plus it is a ton more fun, at least for me. I do used external view to admire the whole thing on occasion. I haven't used cargo view but I will take a look at it.

I think that's the way to go. It is certainly the most realistic way.

This is working for me.

It worked earlier today then it stopped and SSA won't load now. The Jetseat is working when testede with the jetseat control engine. I downloaded the SSA from the download page and it doesn't do anything.

Does this microstutter affect only monitors or is it also in VR? I run the Rift and had stuttering issues in the past. I had to completely get rid of everything flight-sim and reload to get rid of it. Plus it doesn't bother me much although it does stutter on occasion.

So I wasted my money thinking I was getting the right software when I already had it? I haven't activated it so I'd like a refund... The little box on the panel says it is the test version and I need to buy the key to get all the usefulness...

I bought the Gametrix KW-908 seat and was using SimShaker for Aviators. Now I bought SimShaker - Wings because I thought I was using the test version. That's what my computer said. 6 times for 20 minutes. Did I buy SimShaker - Wings unnecessarily? I haven't had a chance to download and activate the SimShaker - Wings I bought yesterday.

I had the same stuttering problem show up about 2 or 3 days after I started running 2.5 on everything maxed out. The fix was to wipe my SSD drive, reinstall windows, Do a full download of 2.5 from DCS, and new installs of Teamspeak, SRS, VoiceAttack and Tacview. Now it is smooth and gorgeous at Max settings. I think my SSD was full and completely disorganized.

Not a VR thing.... I ran Windows process monitor and saw spike with the SSD when the stutter happens in VR and in monitor display. I don't think it is DCS itself but something with when it needs more data to draw the picture. I uninstalled Oculus completely and reinstalled.

Im leaning toward this being a VR issue...
