  1. With the Huey, I can takeoff if I set it to depart from ground (not runway or parking spot).
  2. Is there a way to get the wonderful watertank for the Huey to work again? In @upuaut 's Download folder, he writes about a fix, but I don't get it to work. I just found out that you can de-activate fire effects now via triggers, together with the water tank, that would make quite nice firefighting missions

  4. After the latest patch, the Huey panel looks completely messed up. All the Gauges shimmer with a strange yellowish glow and are almost unreadable. I know from other player they have the same problem. Is there a quick way to fix this?

  6. Wow, that's really great, thanks! It would be great if the tail section and the main rotor would fold if you placed that beauty on the deck of a carrier. I saw in the mmodel view that there are a lot of animations that are modelled - like the folding tail, even a winch rope, door gunners and even soldiers sitting inside.
  7. Allright, I seem tohave found the problem: The french pack mod that I had left in the saved games folder caused the problem.
  8. After the latest update on steam, DCS won't start anymore. I deactivated all mods, ran two repairs. I see the first small loading screen, then the steam authorization bar, then DCS just disappears.

  10. After the latest update (the small one, not the step to 2.7) I'm not able to pause DCS via keyboard. In some modules, the Pause button is not mappable to the keyboard anymore, only to HOTAS/ Button box commands, and in some modules, there simply is no pause function anymore. Since I love to take screenshots, that's really a bummer. Anyone els having that problem?

  12. Does anyone know what the maximum altitudes for each type of AAA is? I found that Shilka and ZU-23 works up to 5000 feet, the new S-60 reaches 10 000. What about other units?
  13. Yesterday I created a strike mission involving multiple aircraft. The player is in one of the last aircraft that is being launched. I encountered a problem: After taxiing forward from elevator 3 in my F-14B to cat 1 or 2, the catapult crew just stands around, the plane director doesnt do any gestures. The ground crew radio command "request launch" doesn't change anything. Strange thing: After I contacted the ground crew via rearming menu, the "request launch" command worked again. I had the ordies yelling at me via radio because I taxied away, but at least I was able to take off. Anyone else having the same problem? Did I do anything wrong?

Now that someone got the folding wings to work, I noticed some mistakes I made with the lower side of the wings. I'll also try to fix the missing throttle textures. Dunno why they are missing, might have to change something in the description, because I didnt change anything inside the cockpit.
  15. Same here. I use two screens in a vertical setup, so I can view the instrument panel on the lower one and the outside world on the upper screen. With the old DCS version, I got some weird glitches with smoke and fog, but with 2.7, I have to go back to one screen only. It would be great if there was something that can be done, I really miss my second screen.
  16. While looking for inspiration for some F-14A skins, I discovered that kitty number 162579, CAG bird of VF-1 Wolfpack, got a replacement radome in 1988/1989. I found that added quite some "Frankencat" character, and so I decided to do that livery as well as the colors of Operation Desert Storm. Each livery comes with custom roughmet and accurate crew names. Thanks to the amazing Reflected Simulations for allowing me to use his Wichita as a base for my CAG bird.   17. You're very welcome. It's kinda annoying to update that file, so far I didnt find any other way then to copy the textures and to fit them manually into that file.
  18. Well, I finally did two VF-1 Wolfpack CAG birds. To be precise, it's the same airframe, the first is with replacement radome (1988/89) and the other one with nice, colorful markings from ODS 1991. Each comes with custom roughmet.   19. Hey there, there is a file called HB_F14_LOD1_3in1.dds - it contains some low resolution views of a skin. You have to put your livery there as well - if you open that file, you'll understand what I mean.
  20. I already tried that way - somehow didnt work. But I found out that you can use the model viewer to create a despription.lua that works - not perfectly, though. It has been brought to me that somehow the throttle texture seems to be missing in my liveries. Didnt have the time to fix it yet. Oh, and you can find the liveries here:

  22. @Tracer740 Thanks for pointing out the missing throttle texture. That is strange, I didnt mess with any of the cockpit textures. Didn't notice that because I mainly use the Intruder as an AI asset. But I have an idea what might have gone wrong. Either we have to copy the cockpit texture files into the skin's folder - but that would make the downloads quite big. I think I can fix the missing throttle texture in the description file, so my skins use the files from the main texture folder. (It just comes to my mind, I might tweak the description even more to make the downloads smaller...)

I've created some skins for the free, user-made A-6E Intruder mod mahttps://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315541/de by CorsairCat (you can find it here: https://github.com/CorsairCat/DCS-A-6E-Intruder ). I made seperate packs to reduce download size. Two packs will cover the 1980s, one the desert storm era and one will contain two Vietnam era skins. Since there is no paint kit, my liveries are a repaint of the original textures. They aren't perfect, but since the mod needs some work, too, I decided to release them now and to update them at any given time. They're uploaded.   25. Yeah, it's a bit of a pity. If they're set as flying AI, they do fold their wings. So the animation is there, shouldn't be too hard to fix.
