  1. EU..... damn. Again the same story. EU dealer is an independent business we have no control over. I hate this situation no less than you do. Now it looks like we at VKB HQ are responsible for that the notify me link didn't work. Perhaps we are - no sarcasm here. All I can do right now is send the link to this thread to our EU dealer. Sorry guys. Really.
  2. Good idea No ;) this is not offtopic, come on we're not policing it that strict! The idea is good, and we discussed it in brief a few mins ago in the office. There is nothing to prevent us from doing so. We will produce a bit more BlackBoxes within a month, and they will be available through our dealerships and Aliexpress; in the meantime if anyone needs an extra BB - email us, we will help. BB is not in short supply, we can always sell one or two to those in need!
  3. Here it goes, was easier to write it this way
  4. Without details is it all little but ranting, sorry. What exactly version were you looking for? Where were you looking for it? Where are you located? Otherwise it is really just hot air. Quite recently there was pretty much everything in stock, and for more than a few days. Not at each and every dealership, but at most of them, and wherever there was shortage, we were able to sell directly through Aliexpress. Compared to the situation one year ago it is a lot better. If some refuse to see this difference, well, this is a problem of perception rather than reality.
  5. Off-Topic Warning TRUE. Gentlemen please stay within the topic. I hate to say we might be pushed to purging the thread of irrelevant posts. Thanks @Seb71 I should have done this myself.
  6. Basically what you said was toxic nonsense, as: MCG 5 pin version is being produced and sold; Kosmosima 5 pin version is being produced and sold. Please be officially warned: criticism is OK, toxic trolling is not. See point 1.10 Forum Rules.
  7. Good morning! I see I've missed a lot! Good old times of forum holy wars and floods are back? That was a lot of fun going on last night, pity I wasn't here to follow it in real time. To begin with, I checked the background of some Range Rover owners and found them real people, not bots. So it is real people we have to deal with, even if their opinions or tone of their voices are not exactly pleasing. - Before attacking RRohde you might have given it a thought, why in the first place the legal agreements are written altogether, if they are not supposed to be pointed to in disputable situations. I believe RRohde out of all of our dealers has done the most to make customers happy, and let me put it directly, any attempts to blame him are simply ridiculous, period. He needs not to be told what to do. Opinions can, of course, be different, and I and the other forum readers have heard you. Thank you for making yours clear. Absolutely nothing to say sorry for. We monitor this forum for a purpose, and this purpose includes checking for situations like yours. Your big mistake however was not to mention the shop where you got your device - this should be the first and foremost. It might be some outlet unknown to us, or it may be a knock-off device (yes there are fake VKB devices in the market). Or, it may be a pawnshop, or this may a faulty device re-sold to three people one after another, or whatever. Even when you write to VKB directly, or post on their forum, this is going to be the first question you will be asked, together with proof of purchase. (I know it because with high probability it will be me reading your message there). Sure VKB will take care of the case but we need to know the full story. So go ahead and write to us, and get registered at our forum - help from the forum sometimes comes faster than if you write email message. Please no more car dealership mess here. This one is a TECS topic. I hate to say it but all further messages on the above issue will be immediately purged as off-topic. Peace to all :)
  8. See the above. A truckload of goodies is about to be flown to EU within days. Grips, grips+bases, grips+bases+extensions are all there. How the dealer sells it, and how he counts how many units to order, we can't control - he is an independent business.
  9. Yes. Some 3rd party shop never responded to messages, let's not buy anything made by VKB any more. F-word: fairness. Have you tried to contact VKB directly?
  10. We would do it of course but the point of asking was that people don't like to pay for what they're not going to use, ever - I mean really, if I have pedals and don't need any twist at all why would I pay like 20 bucks more with every grip I buy... Otherwise, I'm with you. Just incorporate, make it lockable, and forget it. Would be a lot easier.
  11. End of this week (or next week; I didn't check the progress) the Kosmosimas are to be sent to Europe by air. By air, I repeat: means, they will arrive real soon. :pilotfly:
  12. Peace
  13. It may be sold today, still it belongs to a different generation. There is some difference between physical age and belonging to a previous generation. Does the fact that it can't be used with Kosmosima make Gladiator Pro I a BAD joystick? - you say. Demanding ALL previous generation base models be compatible with ALL future generation grip models is, with all due respect, ridiculous. Thanks for rating our professionalism that high. True. Plans are plans, this is why they are not called promises. Mamba being a great joystick (fling a rock at me if you think it isn't) is also a previous generation device. Its controller only has 64Kb internal memory. A lot has to be optimized to make it work: have a try editing a 4K video on a 486 computer, you will understand what I mean. We're working on Mamba and within days the firmware that we've been working on for months is going to be passed on to the testers. If it works, MCG for Mamba will go on sale. Kosmosima for Mamba is out of question, sorry, case closed. I leave this on your conscience with no comment.
  14. Sorry I'm late, and I haven't read all other users' replies to you, so chances are someone had already suggested this. Anyway, The absolutely FIRST thing to do in such situation is to run a very simple test: release the clutch pull the grip to the left to the limit remove your hand from the grip letting it go freely take a screenshot of the curve repeat the same with the right, top, bottom sides Key words: remove your hand. I repeat: take your hand off the grip, do not follow it on its way back. (sorry I am not talking to you as to a retard but if only you could know how many times people fail to get this simple message...) At the end you will have 4 screenshots with 4 curves. Publish them here. Also, try running this VKB test utility, and this one. We will see.
  15. I think the button is living its last days. I'd start looking for a replacement right now. In the meantime, try running this test utility. And this.
  16. Gentlemen, I have already said all there was to say on this topic. The only fully official and legally binding formula is: VKB's grips made for Warthog base will work with Warthog base. If someone looking at the word "warthog" reads it as "virpil", it is his, and only his problem. Sorry for big font and for being so abrupt, but we consider this case closed, and will not return to any discussion of this particular issue.
  17. Would be a better idea to connect K to the pedals black box. Connection itself couldn't be easier: wires are color coded, so just sort them red to red, black to black, etc. However mechanical part of connecting the grip to the collective lever is not clear to me; I believe you will need an extra cable to run between blackbox and Gunfighter. You will later solder the grip cable to it. Keep posting pictures as you progress, and we will help you to correctly connect and set up the blackbox.
  18. Gentlemen, I have to re-post this statement, and I will add it as an update to the original post. Sorry for quoting myself :) Whether VPC bases can or cannot work with VKB grips, one should ask VPC. VPC base controller as we believe only recognizes axes signals sent by VPC grips. VKB F14 grip will be equipped with Gunfighter compatible electronics capable of working with both buttons and axes. Whether VKB F14 (Warthog version = buttons only, no axes) will work on VPC base, we have no idea, and explicitly refuse to promise. We are NOT working, and have NO plans to work to make this possible. We are not talking about "axes will turn into buttons" here. We are talking about no compatibility at all. This is not disputable. In simple words: Do NOT expect to buy VKB grips with intention to make them work on a VPC base. This will most likely NOT happen.
  19. Whether VPC devices can or cannot work with VKB grips, one should ask VPC. VPC base controller as we believe only recognizes axes signals sent by VPC grips. 20. There is no final decision on this matter. We will try to make sure no one would lose.
  21. Yet another voice for quitting Warthog compatibility counted :)
  22. Absolutely YES.
  23. My apologies, I didn't mean to sound snappish last night.
  24. We discussed this opportunity with Heartblur, and found it not feasible. It would hardly ever return the investment.
